Glad this has been coming to people's attention!

Reblogging to remind all cat owners about not only rabbies vaccines but also FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), it does not affect humans but can easily spread among cats.

Also SFTSV (also known as Thrombocytopenia), there have been some reccords that it had been transmitted to humans ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7706950/ ) but I'm unsure of how many.

These diseases can be really dangerous, if not fatal to cats, if they have been recently reccorded in your area and the vaccines aren't available for free in you country I reccomend making an effort to pay for your pet's vaccination, specially for "outdoors" cats.

I lost two cats to FIV some years ago, and almost lost my kitten to SFTSV, only he and another two cats in the local clinic had survived

sorry if i’m being a party pooper but because rabies is apparently the new joke on here ??? please remember that rabies has an almost 100% fatality rate after symptoms develop so if you’re bitten or scratched by an animal that you aren’t 100% sure is vaccinated then GO TO A DOCTOR. it’s not a joke. really.
