Captober day 29: Tattoo

I was too busy lately, so I couldn't follow all the #Valhallatober... But I came back with Ivarr content.

AC VALHALLA SPOILERS AHEAD! ⚠️
This theory contains spoilers of the Shropshire quest.
Now hear me out.
Okay, we all know that Ivarr ended Ceolbert's life just to have an excuse to take revenge on king Rhodri. BUT. What if things didn't go as we were told about?
What I mean is that, what if Ivarr killing Ceolbert was a lie? When Ivarr asks us to fight him, just to have a glorious death, he tells us that he stabbed the boy. But, maybe, it is all a lie from Ivarr just to make Eivor get mad at him and get the fight he wants. Maybe the boy was stabbed by a Saxon. Maybe when Ceolbert tries to speak but Eivor and Ivarr shush him, he wanted to ask them to take revenge. Or maybe tell them about an accident that he had in that cave, which caused his mortal wound.
So, what if Ivarr knew Eivor would finally start a battle against him, just for the fact that "he killed the boy". In the discussion they have, just after the blood eagle, and Eivor is about to go home, we can see how Ivarr acts at that instant. He seems like being thinking for something. So what if he was just having the idea of lying to us? We know for sure Ivarr was a smart-ass, and if he planned that revenge by killing Ceolbert, he could also trick us just to go to Valhalla.
So yes, that theory just makes sense. Perhaps it happened that way. But however, we all know that probably, the only canon thing is that Ivarr killed our boy. Which is a shame.
This post contains minor spoilers for Assassian's Creed: Valhalla
YO WHY THE FUCK COULDN'T WE FUCK IVARR BEFORE WE SENT HIM TO VALHALLA.
