Plagiarizing people's fics is not okay guys, cmon. This happens way too often for comfort

So, Ka’ra has been plagiarized. 

And let me tell you, I am livid. 

For reference, Ka’ra is my 7-part Din Djarin x reader series, posted both on here and on AO3. It’s my first major piece of writing, my first star wars/pedro fanfic, and the third piece of fanfiction I’ve ever published. It’s what allowed me to meet the closest online friends I’ve ever had, and it’s given me the opportunity to grow and learn as a writer. Basically, it’s my baby.

And now, come to find out, it’s been plagiarized–and the “author” has been getting away with it for over a year. 

The fic in question? Canary, written by Bumblingbees on AO3. 

Here’s what went down.

A few days ago, a lovely twitter user DMed me and made me aware of what was going on. They told me that they had read my Din Djarin fic Ka’ra before, and that they found another fic that seemed oddly similar to my own. They didn’t want to jump to conclusions immediately, but they knew that my piece was published first so they decided to contact me. (If you’re reading this: bless you.) Here’s the DM:
