Until Death

“What’s that in your hand?”

“H-Huh?”

“The flower,” Seokjin beckons at the rose he has in his hand, his tall figure and deadpanned eyes staring down at the man, it almost leaves him wanting to pee his pants right on the spot. “It’s not for the baker, now is it?”

Six more pairs of eyes stare directly down at him and yet he still has the audacity to say; “Yes, it’s..it’s for miss Y/N.”

“Ah.”

Suddenly the air in the little shop shifts and a sharp, cold breeze rushes through the room despite the fact that today should have been nothing but a pleasant breeze. Little ashes of smoke begin to appear from the thin air of the floors of the shop, sauntering around as customers sitting in their designated seats pick their feet up out of fear, their whispers of panic raising, and the man at the center of the demons’ wrath feels sharp ice crawling all over his body.

“It seems you want trouble,” Jungkook says as he takes a step forward, causing the man to step back, and so Jungkook keeps following along until he backs himself against the counter, trembling in sight while the rest of the people hold their breaths, too frightful to make a move in fear of being on the receiving end of the demons’ wrath.

“I-I don’t want trouble,” the poor man stutters.

Taehyung clicks his tongue in irritation while Jimin scoffs.

“Clearly you do,” Namjoon says. “You uttered her name. In the demon world, no one is allowed to utter someone’s name so carelessly. Only if they mean something to you and if the person has allowed you to utter their name.”

“I-I’m sorry sir, I-I didn’t know.”

“And giving roses,” Yoongi plucks the flower right out of his fingertips, “means an eternal love you are willing to spend the rest of your life with.” He burns the petty little thing right before the man’s eyes, all the while keeping his glare pointed right at him, causing the guy to visibly shallow a hard lump.

“Do you understand where you’re wrong?” Hoseok threatens, an arm propped up against Yoongi’s shoulder, hovering.

“I-I-” He looks like he’s about to piss his pants.

“Do you, understand?” So Hoseok reiterates, deeper, darker, graver. “Yes or no?”

“I..y-yes, yes—”

“What are you doing?”

A voice.

A sweet, sweet voice more precious and sweeter than the nectar the butterflies flock themselves onto, than any blood that can satisfy a vampire, than the sun that gives humans light and nutrients. A voice they love more than anything in this world.

Except the woman herself whom it belongs to.

They turn in an instant, ears perking up, head snapped, to find you standing before the door that leads to the backrooms, holding onto a tray of desserts they know you’ve made just for them, and their faces immediately soften.

The room brightens up, the shadows beginning to melt away into thin air in the same way they appeared, and Jimin is just about to rush up to you if it weren’t for your eyes suddenly shifting from them.

Your attention isn’t on them.

“You’re scaring the poor man!” You quickly say as you put your tray down onto the counter, rushing to untie the apron strings from behind, rushing in between them and the gentleman, an arm extending as you force Jungkook to back off. “Not just him but my customers!” You turn to address the guy. “Are you alright sir? I apologize for everything.”

He takes one glance behind you and instantly freezes up once more, quick to shake his head vehemently at the dark eyes staring straight into his soul — unbeknownst to you.

“I-I’m okay! I’m okay!” He blurts out before simply scurrying out the door before you can get another word in.

You stare at the scene, blinking at his sudden rush, before turning around to place your hands upon your hips, all the while the boys are quick to change up their expressions, acting as if they’ve been innocent all along.

“You just lost me a customer. Would you like to explain why you were interrogating the poor dude?” You start, brows furrowed, shoulders tense, chin slightly protruding and they know you’re trying to be all high and mighty but in their eyes, you just look like an upset bunny trying to fight seven wolves. “You really need to keep yourselves in check and stop summoning your shadows to show up out of nowhere, you know that scares people. How are my customers supposed to eat and drink and have a calm peaceful day if you just show up out of nowhere and deliberately make a scene?”

“M-miss Y/N, we’re fine but please—” An older woman tries to appease you, her approach timid as she holds her hands up, trying to calm you down in fear of the men in the room who’re the reason for your anger. “You don’t have to stand up for our sake.”

“We’re fine, you don’t have to do this.”

“I’d really love it if I didn’t have to witness our favorite baker in town—”

“What are you talking about, ma’am, they need a proper scolding,” you say otherwise, clearly unaware of the public’s concern for your life, being as you’re literally standing up against seven tall, masculine men who can literally bend the Earth and destroy this town with a flick of their wrist.

“Miss Y/N, please—”

“It’s alright, just go back to your coffee. I assure you I can handle this.”

“No please—”

You ignore their pleas to turn back around, that business smile fading the second you meet their eyes and they frown, hating the way you sounded kind to your customers and yet don’t bother to send them a smile.

“So then, what do you have to say for yourselves?”

“It’s not even that big of a—”

“Excuse me?” You cross your arms before your chest, looking up at them with a serious expression and they know they can’t not listen to whatever you say.

Only you can ever make them bend a knee.

“Sorry,” Jimin grumbles under his breath but you pretend you didn’t hear it.

“What was that?”

He sighs and steps forward, snaking an arm around your waist and pulling you in close, much to the audience’s dismay, and pepper kisses upon your cheeks. “You heard me darling, I said I was sorry.”

“Sorry. We’re sorry,” Jungkook joins in, a hand on your head as he presses a kiss to your temple.

You feel your heart lighting up, a smile waiting to creep up but you know not to give in just yet. “And to my customers?”

Namjoon crosses a hand over to his heart, giving the people a light bow. “We apologize for the inconvenience, dear customers of Y/N’s,” he says, and while they simply look back with mouths agape and widened pupils, frozen in their spots, he turns his head back your way, a cheeky little grin spread across his face as if asking for a compliment for doing the thing that you asked him to do.

You bite back a grin, seeing how obedient they are when it comes to you, but you know that if you let them see even the smallest bit of that, they'll disregard the people around them and simply coddle you to their heart’s content.

So you take Jimin’s hand and lead him into the backrooms, knowing the rest are quick to follow along, all the while leaving your customers blinking and rubbing their eyes, wondering if what they had just seen was right or if it had been simply a figment of their imaginations.

After all, everyone knows demons would never yield to a human that easily, much less care for them in the way they just treated you.

“Someone looks stressed.”

Once you’re finally left alone with your demons without any eyes kept on you, you let your guard down, smiling ruefully as you take a good look at the seven of them. Demons don’t live on sleep in the way humans need it, they get their energy elsewhere, but sometimes there are days you feel as if perhaps taking a nap will help them.

They look so tired.

“But that still doesn’t mean you can come around here and demand things out of my customers.”

Yoongi grunts, rolling his eyes at your words like a child hating to be scolded. “I get it, I get it,” he repeats exasperatedly when he walks over to place his head against your chest, letting you run your fingers through your hair to coddle him.

“But he was trying to give you roses,” Taehyung says as he clicks his tongue with irritation, that glare he has on is always enough to kill someone if he could, and for a good while you were scared of it yourself, but luckily you’ve gotten used to it. Taehyung would never hurt you after all.

And you know exactly what roses mean in the demon language. It was what they gave you when they confessed their undying love to you after all, a day you will never forget, a day they swept you off your feet and the very day you became forever theirs. You can never forget what those roses mean to them because to demons who’re almost incapable of feeling, much less love another, if a rose is given by them unto another, it is something one must never doubt.

“You do understand that roses aren’t as significant as they are to us humans, don’t you?” You remind them, a light chuckle leaving your lips when Taehyung drops his head onto your shoulder, asking for the same attention you’re giving to Yoongi. “I mean they mean a lot to me because they mean a lot to you but to humans in general, roses are just another sign of love.”

“Exactly, love. That’s a universal language and he was trying to steal you away from us.” You feel Hoseok’s arms slide around your waist from behind, lips pressing onto the nape of your neck.

“He didn’t know,” you try to excuse the action of the poor man who you didn’t even know was trying to confess to you just a few minutes prior.

But they’re having none of that.

“Who goes around professing their love to someone they don’t even know that well? Did he really believe a pretty girl like you would remain loveless by men all around her?”

You laugh awkwardly at Seokjin’s words. “What’re you trying to say by that?”

“He should know his place,” he says as he takes your chin from under his fingertips, bringing you forth to his face, “and that you, who is beloved by many, wouldn’t have already stolen the hearts of others around her. You attract after all, and just like those pretty little sweets you make every day before the town can even wake up, a simple glance at you can cause quite the addiction.”

“I..” You avert your eyes, cheeks heating because you know exactly what he’s trying to imply. “I don’t think I..”

“You don’t?” The eldest raises a brow as if daring you to further challenge his belief.

“W-well…” You stumble on your words before clearing your throat. “Sometimes too many sweets can be bad for you.”

“Well, luckily I have a sweet tooth.” A small little smirk curl along the corner of his lip, a low chuckle leaving him just as he leans in to capture your lips, leaving your heart to skip a thousand beats faster than its initial pounding.

He doesn’t kiss you for too long but even then, once he leaves you, you’re a blushing mess.

“Heart’s pounding rather fast,” Yoongi states, and you’re stumbling over your words once again.

“I..I-I wasn’t…”

“How long has it been? You’re still swooning over such a small thing?” Jungkook teases.

“It’s alright, I quite like it actually,” Seokjin says, his hand reaching up to tuck it behind your ear. “It’s quite refreshing seeing what we do still makes her react like this. You love us that much, huh darling?”

“If you’re here just to tease me, please just return to whatever it was you were doing before coming here.”

“Hey, don’t act like you don’t like it,” Namjoon pulls you back in when you try to run away to hide your embarrassment. They hold you in close, grips so steady you know there’s really no chance you’ll ever be able to escape.

Not that you want to.

And seeing those looks on their faces, you know they know that fact more than anyone else.

After all, these days can sometimes be rare; the days when they show up before you unexpectedly, most times without ever telling you beforehand. These days are the days you cherish the most, when you can be in their arms just like this, without ever feeling as if they would ever let you go.

Not until it’s time for them to leave. Not until they have to leave.

And it’s in those moments when they do have to leave do you feel the most lonely. When you have to stay behind, taking a moment to gather yourself, remember their holds and kisses, before returning to your baking with a customer smile on your face so no one knows just how lonely you are when your demons leave, knowing you can do nothing but wait until their next visit.

There are times when waiting takes days, weeks, and sometimes even a whole month and you’re always left wondering just where they are and where they’ve gone and what they’re doing.

But you know you’d never tell them just how lonely you really are when they’re gone.

After all, the times they visit are for the times of loving and holding one another. It isn’t a time to dwell on things that don’t matter, it isn’t a time to cry and wish and to hope. It’s a time to cherish what’s before you before they have to leave.

Only when they’re gone can you actually dwell on your loneliness.

“If something ever goes wrong or if you simply need us, you can call us anytime.”

You stare at the little bell shaped into a red rose one lonely night while standing under the stars in the middle of your garden.

It’s the garden of red roses they created for you, a garden that can never wilt no matter the seasons, time, or period. It dies only when the owner who received these flowers dies.

It will wilt only once you’ve wilted.

“Just how long will you continue to live, little ones?” You hold a hand out to feel the soft petals of the roses upon your fingertips, smiling at how pretty they are. Not even one petal is torn or hurt. They all look alive and well, alive and flourishing.

Jungkook says they reflect their owners’ age as you know that one day in the far future, these flowers will probably begin to look dainty and frail as well, and yet you don’t wish to ever see these flowers growing old with you.

Growing old means nearing death.

Growing old means wilting.

And then what will happen to the ones you’ll be leaving behind? The lifespan of a human does not last forever after all, and the more you think about it, the more you come to understand that they’ve got all the time in the world, hence they don’t ever look sad or griefed whenever they come to visit days or weeks or months later.

It is because to demons, the passing of time is simply but a second walking by.

Yet to you, every ticking second means a second closer to wilting away.

You let out a sigh, turning from the flowers to take a step forward towards your house when a harsh wind passes by, causing your shawl to fly off, and in an attempt to grab for it, you’ve forgotten about the bell you had in your hand, causing the little flower shape to fall from your hand and jingle as it hits the ground.

You gasp as you freeze in place because in just mere seconds, you know you aren’t alone anymore.

Seven presence right behind you.

Who would have thought it’d work this fast?

You quickly pick your bell up, eyes scanning forward at the shawl that flew off onto a rose bush, and rush forward to take it back because of how cold the night air has gotten.

“Well someone most certainly called us here on purpose, didn’t she?”

You turn back at Yoongi’s sarcastic comment once you’ve gotten your shawl to wrap it back onto yourself.

“Sorry! It was the wind,” you quickly say as you rush back to their side. “The bell was in my hand and when my shawl flew away, I forgot about it so when I went to reach for my shawl, the bell fell out and now here you are, summoned by the jingle.”

“So you’re not in immortal danger?”

At Seokjin’s question, you take a look around, wanting to laugh a bit at the situation. “Uh nope! Looks like I’m perfectly fine.”

“So you’ll only call us if you’re in immortal danger? How disappointing.” Jungkook lets out a heavy sigh, his lips pouting.

“What? You want me to call you if I miss you or something?”

“Yeah, why not?”

“Ha ha, very funny.” You place the bell securely into your pocket then tighten the shawl around your body. “Anyways, it’s pretty cold out here. You should get back to what you were doing. As you can see, I’m not hurt nor am I in any danger. In the meantime, I think it’s time for me to head to bed.”

You begin to walk off to your door again when Namjoon stops you.

“What were you doing out here?” He asks and you stop in your tracks, shrugging.

“Just thinking.”

“Thinking?”

“About immortality and stuff.”

“Immortality?” Jimin steps up to drape an arm around your shoulder in order to turn you back around to where they’re standing, at the same time helping you to keep warm against the night breeze. “What’s got you thinking about immortality, darling? Are you finally thinking about how to become one?”

“You know I like my human life.”

“Yeah, yeah,” he rolls his eyes. “Something about growing old is part of what makes human life so beautiful or whatever.”

“I don’t understand why death is beautiful to you,” Taehyung says.

“Well on the other hand, don’t you think immortality is somewhat of a curse?” You ask and they look upon themselves as if they’ve never given that idea a chance before.

“Why would it be a curse?”

“Well…” Your words trail off slowly and yet they wait for your explanation, eyes steady on you, ears open to whatever you have to say, and you play along with your fingers, nails digging into the skin a bit. “When I die…you’ll still have thousands of years left to live.” You avoid their eyes, staring down at the ground. “...Won’t you miss me?”

They grow silent.

Everything grows silent and you hear nothing but the little breeze that passes by ever so often, as well as the cicadas out in the night, singing their sweet songs, a melody mirroring the birds in the early morning.

“So you’re saying,” Hoseok begins, “that you’ll die before us.”

“It’s inevitable,” you say, looking up again. “Forty years may not mean a lot to you but forty years into the future means me getting old and gray and my health deteriorating. Humans are living and dying at the same time. I get closer to death with each passing day.”

“Don’t say that.”

“You know it’s true.” You watch as Jungkook turns to look at the flowers in the garden, his hand reaching out to touch one of them. “I’d never want to die and let you live through years of heartache. I’d never want to leave you behind in this world and no matter how happy we will be, death is something that is inevitable to come for me, you know that. Though I wouldn’t ever want you to follow along either. I don’t want to die together.”

“So you love your human life but you don’t want to die and leave us behind, but you also don’t want us to choose our own death in following you right behind, and you don’t wish to become an immortal.” Namjoon takes a step forward into your proximity, their expressions more grave than any other times you’ve ever seen them — except in those moments when you’re in immortal danger right before them. It frightens you a bit wondering what’s going on inside their heads, but what frightens you most is the inevitable future threatening to tear you apart.

“What is it that you want, Y/N?” Namjoon asks and you take a moment to think.

What is it that you want?

Why’re you thinking about immortality and death? Why was the wind listening to you when you were left to yourself in this garden? Why did it hear your silent plea in wishing to see them and therefore taking your fate into their hands and causing you to accidentally call for your demons?

Why does any of this even matter?

“I don’t know…” You look down at your feet, fingers unable to keep still, the vision before you blurring. “I-I don’t know,” you admit truthfully and when you look up again, their eyes widen at the sight of tears brimming along your waterline, waiting to fall down any second now. “I don’t want to live forever but I don’t…I don’t want to ever leave you behind and…and…I don’t know what I want. All I know is that…is that even though I enjoy this human life, I hate how different we are. I hate how different we think because to you, a day passing by means nothing. A week, a month, maybe even a year. A year without me is nothing to you. You can let time go by and it wouldn’t mean a thing because you get to live forever but to me…to me….I..”

You swallow the lump that wishes to cut your voice off, forcing the words out. “I hate waiting. I hate not knowing when it is you’ll be visiting again. I hate each day that passes, I hate it when you leave me, I hate being lonely and empty, I hate it when I have to wait. I hate it. I hate all of it.”

“Why didn’t you tell us?”

“I don’t know,” you cry, ignoring the tears that slip by when they close in on you. A few hiccups threaten to leave your voice behind but you continue talking through it all. “It’s just…I-I didn’t bring it up because I know you get busy and even if you aren’t so busy, I…I thought that, well, if the passing of time doesn’t affect you, why should it affect me?”

“You should have spoken up, my love.”

“You know if you asked for the world, we’d give it to you in a heartbeat, right? Why would you think we wouldn’t stop anything and everything if you just asked to be with us?”

“I don’t know,” you cry again, letting the last syllable drag out as more tears fall from your eyes and they’re quick to panic, realizing their reassuring words probably sounded more like them scolding you.

“It’s alright, it’s alright. You don’t have to cry anymore.”

“We know. We know now so it’ll be alright.”

“I’ll tell you what, become one of us.”

Your cry falls silent as only sniffles and small hiccups leave your lips when you hear those words. You blink up at Taehyung, slightly confused. “..What?”

“You heard him, become one of us.”

“I told you I don’t want to live forever.”

“You don’t have to live forever, darling.”

“I..I don’t?”

Yoongi shakes his head. “We can live together for as long as we want and when you get tired of life, when you get tired of immortality, just say the word and we’ll make it happen in a heartbeat.”

“...Really?”

“Of course.” Namjoon presses a kiss to your forehead just as you feel Taehyung’s hands wiping your tears away and Seokjin handing you a tissue he created from thin air. “Hoseok said, didn’t he? You could ask us for the world and we’d give it to you without question.”

“We’d burn the world if it means making you happy.”

“But what if I just want you and not the whole world?”

Soft smiles appear upon their faces, softening their features, whispering sincere affirmations of love.

“Oh darling, you already have us.”

“And you’ll have us even after death takes us all away.”

“But…I thought…” with the last remaining tears wiped away, you take a small little glance towards the rose bushes, eyes scattering off with confusion, “doesn’t immortality mean…forever? How would I..-How would we just…leave this world?”

“There is always an answer to everything,” you feel warmth seeping through the palm of Yoongi’s hand when he caresses your face, “and just like the stars that burn bright in the night, lasting for eons on end, they too have their beginning and ending and one day they will burn away as well.”

“Then, technically..you aren’t cursed with immortality?”

“Well technically, yes, but in theory, going against the ways of life means going against the laws of the world, which also means throwing things off balance, so it also means receiving death sentences for throwing off said balance.”

You take a moment to blink, trying to comprehend what Jungkook just said, before simply letting out an “Oh.”

They chuckle at your silence and you feel Jimin ruffle your hair. “Though of course we’d never let anyone touch you, not even the world. There are other ways to leave an immortal life but it’ll happen when we get there so don’t worry your little head off about how everything works.”

“You just have to trust us,” Seokjin agrees.

“You’ll trust us, won’t you?” Hoseok asks.

You take his hands in yours, eyes determined without a glint of hesitation. “I trust you with my life and until death do us part, it is yours to keep.”

Taehyung chuckles at the sentiment before repeating the vow you’ve just spoken. “Until death do us part.”

Combined Beings (ii)

“Y/n, Mr. Park requests for you to personally hand him the documents you’re working on.”

You looked up at Eunji who stood by your side, knowing that from your shy and awkward personality and nature, you would hide under your desk if she were to yell it out for you to hear from her office.

“Me?” You looked around the office, as if there were another worker that goes by your name.

“Yes, you,” Ari shook your arm excitedly. “He wants to see you again.”

“What happened between you two?” Eunji wiggled her eyebrows and you shrugged, shaking your head while you continued working.

Ari eyed your guys’ friend. “He took care of this scratch she had on her arm.” She showed off her own. “And when I went upstairs yesterday, he did not even look at me once.”

“You caught his attention,” Eunji nodded in support. “Good job! He’ll start paying more attention to us and maybe, we’ll get a raise.”

“That would be nice,” you breathed out at the thought of a raise. But, you knew it wouldn’t be possible. After all, it was you. “But, I mean, we could send Iseul up there and he’d give us a raise for sure.”

“Iseul is pretty but, her personality says otherwise…” Eunji puffed her cheeks, a hand on her hip while she supported her weight by placing the other hand on a wall.

“Eunji,” you chuckled, shaking your head. “But is it these documents that he wants me to take?”

“Yep, he said you should take mine up, too, once I’m finished but that would be in a while,” Eunji smirked down at you and you ignored the feeling of hope that maybe he did want to see you.

“He really is whipped for you,” Ari mumbled, an awe look on her face when she met your eyes. “But hey, if you caught his attention, imagine the other 6.”

“That’s true!” Eunji nodded, eating from a pack of chip she had stolen from Ari. “Listen, just be careful with Mr. Park. He tends to get… angry in a way when the documents aren’t done in the way he wants.”

“That did not make me feel better.”

“Hey, you’re finished!” Ari clapped her hands excitedly before rushing you out of your chair. “Go, go, go! Give it to him.”

“Alright, alright, I’m going, I’m going.”

You grabbed the papers as fast as you could, heading towards the elevator. Eunji and Ari waved at you, big smiles spread on their lips. You smiled a bit before pressing on the button, the door closing.

“Y/n, right?” You nodded at the assistant as soon as the doors opened and you walked towards her desk. “Go ahead. Mr. Park is waiting for you.”

You nodded and thanked her, heading towards the door with your heart pounding against your chest to the point where you could hear it pounding in your ears.

“Mr. Park?” You poked your head in and smiled awkwardly at the man who looked up from the documents in his hand. “I came to give you the papers.”

“Ah, thank you,” he nodded before he grabbed them from you, his fingertips brushing against your skin again like the first time. “Also, I noted a couple of mistakes on the documents you gave me last time.”

Your breath hitched and you stood by, scratching your arm. “I’m sorry for that…”

He chuckled. “Don’t worry. I just wanted to give you some pointers about it.” He grabbed the documents in front of him. “So, the statistics for this product, it’s not that the numbers don’t add up, but it’s not for this specific product. It’s for this one.”

He changed papers and he stood up once he saw you leaning over to see what he was referring to.

“Sit down,” he softly instructed, gesturing towards his chair, and you looked at him before doing so.

“So, I wrote down the wrong numbers for the wrong product?” You furrowed your eyebrows, grabbing the documents he was just holding. He leaned down next to you and hummed. “Hmm, I’m sorry for my mistake, Mr. Park. I’ll be more aware of the statistics next time. I apologize.”

“Look at me,” you turned to look at him and he smirked a little at the way you gulped, “do not apologize. By making mistakes, you learn, do you not? So, now you know what to do next time. I’ll correct these documents for you.”

He grabbed the ones you gave him today and you sighed. “I really am sorry. I should’ve been more aware of the mistakes. After all, it’s my job.”

He waved you off again and he eyed you as you stood up. “Do not worry, y/n, I don’t mind.”

You remembered back to the way Eunji told you that he gets mad when the documents aren’t done in a way he wants. But he stood here next to you, reassuring you he will fix his mistake.

“Was that all for today, Mr. Park?”

“Yes,” he smiled at you as you stood up, bowing to him. He bowed back to you, causing you to immediately wave him off. “What? I can’t bow down to a beautiful woman?”

“I-“ you unknowingly said, clearly in shock by his statement. You immediately felt your face heat up. “I’ll bring you the other documents later, Mr. Park.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll go retrieve them from you. I need that walk and need to see how you guys are working.”

You nodded. “Do I let Eunji know?”

“Please.”

“Okay, I’ll see in…” You arched an eyebrow at him and he looked down at his watch.

“In about an hour.”

“Okay, see you in an hour.”

You walked off and closed the door behind you, rushing towards elevator to get to the floor you work on.

At the door opening, Ari and Eunji waited for you, rushing you towards Eunji’s office where you ignored everyone looking your way.

“What happened?” They both simultaneously asked, sitting you down on a chair. You stared at them with wide eyes, not expecting to be thrown harshly towards it.

“Uh, he made me sit down on his chair before letting me know that I did some mistakes on my documents,” they both gasped, “and he didn’t yell. He even offered to do it for me.”

“What?” Eunji exclaimed. “He screamed at me when I misspelt a word. What an ass!”

“He’s nice,” you defended him with a smile. “But, it’s not nice of him to yell if it was a simply mistake. Oh! But then, I bowed to him and he bowed to me because I am a ‘beautiful woman’.”

Ari gasped dramatically, her own cheeks flushing at the words you spewed out. “He called you beautiful! I told you.”

You playfully rolled your eyes as she shook your shoulders, waving her off.

“He’s a nice guy,” you said, “and… he’s coming down in an hour to check on everybody here.”

Eunji’s smile wiped off her face. “What…? Today? No, no. Fucking Iseul is here today!”

“Maybe if she keeps up with her attitude, they’ll fire her?” Ari suggested, though she herself was not so sure. You and Eunji looked at her. “What? I’m just saying! I would assume the CEOs are also human beings with feelings.”

“We’ll just see what happens…”

Hey, what are you doing?”

Jimin looked up from the documents in his hand, eyeing the way Jungkook came inside his office.

“I’m just fixing some mistakes,” Jimin answered, his gaze landing on the way Jungkook’s sleeves were rolled up to display his tattoos. But he eyed the scattered blood on the skin, arching an eyebrow. “How was your… little business?”

“I would tell you but let’s go back on the fact that you said you’re fixing mistakes on papers?” Jungkook questioned, glancing at Jimin who sighed. “What’s going on with you? Yesterday, you were way too happy and you didn’t even see me!”

“It’s nothing.”

“Clearly it’s something,” Jungkook argued back before standing up straight and crossing the skin over his heart. “I promise I won’t tell.”

Jimin squinted his eyes suspiciously. He nodded once he saw that Jungkook was being serious. “There’s this… employee. She is so adorable in a way.”

“I can’t believe you’re saying this to your boyfriend,” Jungkook dramatically sobbed, covering his face with his clean hand. He stopped once he heard silence and saw the way Jimin gave him a deadpan stare. “Is she cute, though?”

“Vey,” Jimin nodded, glancing at his watch. “She’ll be coming in soon with another sort of documents. You better clean the blood off, I don’t want you making her run away.”

“Fine.”

Jungkook grabbed a tissue and tried his hardest to clean the dried blood with sanitizer, looking down at his bare chest to see more in its wake.

He didn’t have much time to hurry since the door was opened and in came a girl with beautiful, curious eyes glancing at him nervously.

“Here ya’ go, Mr. Park,” you greeted, bowing to the man as you handed him the documents and folders. You turned to look at the other figure. “Hello, Mr…?”

“Jeon,” you hid the way your eyes widened at the name. This was now 2 out of 7 and you fidgeted nervously, the new presence intimidating you even more.

It wasn’t that you didn’t know their names, you did, but you didn’t exactly know whose name belonged to who. They were always on magazines, under the watchful eye of the media, but they were in groups or trios/duos that it was hard to say who was who.

“Jungkook, this is y/n,” Jimin introduced, his hand placing itself on your shoulder, watching you nervously fidget. “She’s one of the employees that shows us the statistics of the products, money, and shipment.”

“Mmm,” Jungkook nodded along his words before turning to look at you. He eyed the way you stared at him just as intensely, your hands playing with each finger. “You should be a good employee if you’re here and not the supervisor.”

“Since you are here,” you looked at the blood on Jungkook’s bare chest, his black button up hiding the rest of his sins, “why don’t you come with me to go look over our workers work?”

Jungkook knew he couldn’t get out of it so he sighed, nodding. “Let’s go.”

Before you could say anything, Jimin made you walk forward, the two trailing behind. Jimin’s assistant looked up in shock before the three of you went inside the elevator, their figures towering over yours while the doors closed.

“So, y/n,” you looked at Jimin as he spoke, “how long have you been working here?”

“About 3 years or so,” you answered.

“Are you ever going to tell me about the person who left you those bruises?” You pursed your lips. Jungkook looked at the back of your head, confused at Jimin’s wording. Jimin looked at him. “We have a little… harassment issue under our very own eyes. Seems that someone here grabbed her arm and left bruises.”

“We don’t tolerate harassment,” Jungkook simply said, just like Jimin had said, too.

“So will you tell us?” Jimin got closer to your side and you cleared your throat, slowly shaking your head. “Shame… but, since you won’t, I’ll see you every morning to see if you don’t have bruises on your arms. If I call you later on in the day and I see one, I will discover who did it.”

You gulped and nodded. Jungkook looked at Jimin as soon as he finished speaking and he wondered if Jimin has fallen. Because it wouldn’t be the first time.

After all, someone from their past caused them all to be iffy about females, so he made a mental note to talk to Jimin as soon as they got home.

The elevator doors opened on the floor where you worked. Since there were two tall figures wearing all black, everyone turned to look your way before their eyes widened at the sight of their CEOs in front of them.

Jimin gestured for to walk forward and you did. Jungkook chuckled a little bit when you almost tripped, but he composed himself when you three walked towards Eunji’s office. She looked up when Jimin knocked, eyes widening at Jungkook being there, too.

“Mr. Park!” She stood up, bowing to the man. She turned to the other one. “Mr. Jeon.”

“Hi, Eunji,” they both bowed down. “It was going to be me today, but Jungkook was here so we both decided to come see how everyone was doing… and working.”

“Of course,” Eunji nodded. “Well, everyone is working on the money about the latest products and efficiency of the work.”

“That’s okay,” Jimin said before he glanced at you. “Also, Eunji, excuse y/n if she doesn’t come on time in the mornings. She’ll be with me for a bit.”

“That’s totally fine,” she glanced at you and you nodded as you understood the look she gave you. “But, let me know if you need anything. There’s some food in the lunch room, I will get you coffee—”

“It’s not necessary,” Jungkook stopped her. “Thank you.”

They both walked out before they stopped and looked back at your frozen state. You looked at them and Jimin smiled a little.

“Where’s your desk?”

“Oh, it’s this way,” you said, walking forward. But, someone stood in front of you 3, enabling you from walking towards your desk.

“Jimin, Jungkook!” Both boys internally groaned and winced, recognizing that shrilly voice anywhere. Of course, her mother knew them and she was insistent that her daughter was to marry one of them to inherit their company. “I didn’t know you two were coming down here! Come with me so we can speak more.”

Not wanting to handle Iseul, you walked away. Jimin grabbed your wrist in a softer manner compared to Minjun, stopping you in your tracks.

“Sorry, Iseul, we already had plans.”

Even though they just wanted to drop me off at my desk, you thought but stayed quiet.

“It’s fine!” she exclaimed, her smile wavering off her lips as she looked at you. “I’m sure y/n could figure it out herself.”

Knowing what her gaze was, you dropped your hand, Jimin’s own dropping. “Um, it was nice to meet you, Mr. Jeon.”

“As it was nice to meet you,” he bowed to you, eyebrows furrowing even more at the way you didn’t look at them, hurrying to your desk.

He and Jimin kept their eye on you until you sat down not so far from them, talking to a girl beside you who glanced at them before glaring at Iseul.

Now Jimin understood why you wouldn’t tell.

“She’s a bitch!” Ari exclaimed quietly, keeping the conversation between you two. “Oh, my God. I swooned at the way they looked at you. Especially when Mr. Park grabbed your hand.” She turned so she could continue her staring. She immediately turned to look at you, slapping your thigh.

“Ow, what was that for?” You winced, pouting at your friend while rubbing the skin she slapped.

“They’re staring at you!” She continued slapping you and you slapped her back. “Ow, why’d you hit me?”

“You hit me first,” you squinted your eyes at her before flicking her forehead. “And they’re probably staring at you. They probably got tired of seeing me.”

“Ha, yeah right,” Ari snorted, shaking her head, waving at the two men who looked your way while Iseul led them towards her desk. They waved back. “You see?”

“Hence, they were staring at you,” you chuckled and she grabbed your hand, waving it. They both smiled at the way your friend waved for you and they waved back in synch. “That was just a coincidence.”

“Coincidence my ass,” Ari scoffed. “Listen, you can be loved, too, so if those two wanna get at you, at least flirt back.”

“I literally can’t without stuttering and just standing there like an idiot,” you raised your eyebrows at her like as if reminding her.

“Guys dig that so do that.”

“Oh, God… what did I get myself into?”

“I’m literally going to skin him. I haven’t seen my flower in so fucking long, I miss her, and this asshole‘s face isn’t making me feel better.”

Jimin and Yoongi were currently in one of the rooms of their house, the person that had followed you ended up in their hold because, thankfully, Namjoon recommended for Hoseok to check the cameras to see if they can find the face of the man who made you uncomfortable. They did. It wasn’t hard to track him down and to come up with the idea to kill him because… why would they keep the man that followed you and made you scared, alive?

“Jimin,” Yoongi gave him a glance and Jimin huffed, quieting down. The older man leaned down in front of their captive, his eyes looking into his scared ones. “You followed a girl two days ago, made her uncomfortable, made her feel unsafe, tell me I shouldn’t take your eyes out of their sockets?”

The man shuddered and gulped, hands shaking on the hands of the chair he was held in. “I-I don’t know who you’re talking about.”

Yoongi raised an eyebrow before grabbing his phone, pressing the video of the man following your figure. He showed it to him. “Oh, really? That’s not you?”

The man’s eyes looked at himself on camera before he glanced at you. Jimin exhaled through his nose, grabbing a fistful of the man’s hair.

“Don’t fucking look at her,” Jimin smiled sarcastically at the man, receiving a gun from Yoongi. He gripped it and placed it against their captive’s cheek before placing it into his mouth. “I would love to shoot you but happily enough, we have to take your eyes out.”

Jimin and Yoongi watched with satisfaction at the man withering under their gaze and hold, blood landing on their face and any skin open of theirs as soon as they did what they had to do.

They had to protect you. They owed it to you. You made them feel all so safe, you needed to feel safe, too, and creeps like this guy would be a step closer to making you feel comfortable walking in your own neighborhood.

Jimin couldn’t lie. But he missed you. Since it was a Monday, he hoped you would see him. He wished. He really really wished that you would remember your routine. But you didn’t come and it hurt him, but he needed to understand your feelings.

It wasn’t until four days later that he approached you, everyone turning to see why their boss was on their floor. But they were all envious, confused, as soon as they saw he was heading your way.

“Hey, hey,” Eunji immediately hurried towards you and Ari. You turned to look at her. “Do not panic, but Mr. Park just called me. He said he’ll be down here to check in on you because you haven’t gone up to see him.”

You looked at her and sighed, standing up. “I’ll be right back.”

Before your friends could speak, you quickly headed towards the elevator next to the one you usually take, knowing fully well that Jimin will be popping in any second. You pressed on the floor that wasn’t Jimin’s, knowing that if he didn’t see you, he wouldn’t suspect you in any of his boyfriend’s offices.

You walked towards the floor as soon as it stopped and saw a man on a desk, eyeing you. He looked you and down before glancing to his computer.

“You can go in,” he told you and you blinked, confused as to why he was letting you in. But you didn’t question him, you thanked him instead.

You walked into the office unknown to you and closed it behind you, letting out a deep sigh of relief once you figured you didn’t have to talk with Jimin. You rested your forehead on the door, but a cough broke you away from your thoughts.

“Beautiful?” You turned around very slowly, smiling sheepishly as soon as you made eye-contact with Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hoseok. “What are you doing? Are you okay?”

“I’m hiding from Jimin,” you said, heading towards them where they sat on a couch, papers sprawled on the table. “I’m sorry. Are you three busy? I can leave if you want—”

“You’re fine, angel,” Hoseok chuckled, opening his arm to gesture you to sit down next to him. “So, why are you running away from Jimin?”

“Is it because of what happened last week with him and Jin?” Namjoon suggested and you slowly nodded. “I’m also guessing Jungkook and Tae revealed to you our true business?” You nodded again and he sighed before a smile welcomed you. He grabbed your hand. “Hey, you need to talk to Jimin. He will explain to you what happened in his own words and in his own defense. We can’t hide you forever.”

“But why not?” You frowned at him and he chuckled, shaking his head softly as he grabbed your hand.

“Pretty girl, Jimin will figure out you’re here with us,” Namjoon said, still smiling warmly at you, and you couldn’t help but wonder how he was part of the business they were all in. They all looked like they couldn’t even step on a snail without wanting to cry. “We can’t hide you forever.”

“Just for a bit, please?” You didn’t like begging, but you remembered that Ari had given you tips in order to use if needed. So with the advice from your dear friend whose devil-like figure stood over your shoulder, you jut out your bottom lip and looked at him from under your lashes, hoping with all of your being it will work.

“I-” Namjoon’s eyes widened a bit as he saw you, his lips parted as you looked at him with those goddamn pretty eyes of yours. God, you were so adorable. You were so pretty and you were so, so cute. Yoongi and Hoseok watched you, too, and they swore their breaths hitched in their throats. They turned to look at Namjoon who was watching you intently.

“Let her. I can’t say no to that beautiful face of hers.”

You smiled in satisfaction when Namjoon nodded, clearing his throat. “We’ll keep you here for a bit but you need to talk to him soon, beautiful.” You sighed and he gripped your hand a little. “You can’t always run from him, especially since he’s your boss.”

“You’re right,” you breathed out and he shrugged a bit, a small smile now tainted on his lips.

“I try.”

“We heard what happened, though,” Yoongi spoke, making you turn to look at him. “We don’t agree with what they did but, we’re just happy you ended up being okay.”

“How’s your foot by the way?” Hoseok asked, gesturing towards the foot that was wrapped up. You hummed and pursed your lips, trying to identify the pain.

“It hurts here and there since my wound is on the bottom and I have to walk,” you explained, feeling nervous under their gaze as they continued to stare at you, listening to every word, “but, other than that, it doesn’t hurt as much.”

“Jungkook was panicking,” Hoseok explained, a chuckle escaping his lips. “When he came back to our house, he wanted to back a bag to go back to yours to take care of you but we let him know he needed to give you space, too.”

You smiled at Jungkook’s gesture. “I don’t mind it. You guys are welcomed any time. It does get lonely there so it’ll be nice to receive some company even if it’s just one of you.”

Namjoon couldn’t wipe away the smile on his lips.

You fit in so well. He really hoped Jin would fix his mistakes because it seemed like he didn’t mind what happened to you. Everyone was getting attached to you but it will become an issue if Jin won’t like you.

“I’ll go with Jungkook and Taehyung next time,” the three eldest agreed and you giggled at the fact they were taking up your offer. “We’ll even bring food, movies, whatever. Whatever you want.”

“Whatever I want?” You asked and they nodded simultaneously.

“Whatever.”

The silence overcame you three but it was nothing uncomfortable. They made you feel comfortable, sleepy almost. But, you had work and you just needed an hour until work is finally over. You just wished you could take a nap on their couch, being surrounded by their figures. You felt so sleepy. But that feeling vanished once the door opened.

“Jimin,” Namjoon greeted the man coming in. Jimin ignored him, though, instead having his eyes set on you, eyes taking your figure from head to toe. You shivered. “Jimin, calm down.”

Namjoon’s words went from one ear to another because Jimin didn’t answer. Instead, he didn’t give you much of a choice to answer him, grabbing your wrist almost immediately and pulling you up. The other three men waved at you and you waved back, glancing at the back of Jimin’s head. He dragged you towards the elevator, pressing the button before it closed, giving you two privacy.

“We’ll talk in my office.”

The silence between you was nothing. The tension was off the rails. When the elevator opened and he grabbed your wrist again, then did you feel like you could let in a big breath of fresh air, feeling like you were suffocating in the rather small box that contained you two.

Opening his office door, Jimin closed it behind him. But, he didn’t let you walk forward. He didn’t. Instead, he grabbed your forearm, still as softly as he could and wanted, and placed you on the wall.

“Jimin,” you breathed out and he groaned, placing his forehead on your shoulder.

“I’ve been missing you like crazy, my flower,” he mumbled before pulling away, his eyes meeting yours. He placed the palm of his hand on your cheek and you swore everything inside of you was bubbling with nerves from how he was looking at you and touching you. “I haven’t seen you in almost a week. It drives me crazy knowing you’ve been texting Jungkook and Taehyung and you haven’t texted me.”

“Jimin,” you said and this time, he let you talk, “I saw you kill someone. You beat him up until I couldn’t even recognize his face, until he wasn’t breathing. It’s hard to change that perspective of you, to not remember how you were and looked when you did what you did. It was scary.”

“I had a reason to kill him,” Jimin mumbled, his eyes trailing from your eyes to your lips, making him let in inhale the scent of your perfume lingering. “He wasn’t a good person.”

“All of us aren’t good people,” you reasoned. “I’m not a good person. I have done many wrongs—”

“Not like him, flower,” Jimin sternly said, his face so close to yours as he was still standing in front of you. “I know it’s not right to do what I did but, he has kidnapped children. Children with money who have parents with money and children who don’t have any because their parents wronged the wrong people. I killed the people in the restaurant once Jin and I realized we had an opportunity to do so and get the children they had taken. I didn’t kill them just because, flower, please trust me.”

You looked into his pleading eyes, his hands clasping your own. A frown was on his face and you sighed, nodding. “I trust you.” He let out a sigh of relief, giving you a hug that both of you needed. “But don’t ever put me in that situation. I could’ve been hurt.”

“I’m sorry, baby,” he mumbled in your neck, bringing you closer to his body with his arms tightly wrapped around your waist. “You’re right. I’m never doing that. None of us are. You’re too precious and cared for we don’t need you hurt, okay? I’m sorry. I was in the wrong.”

You smiled at his words and nickname he got from Taehyung, closing your eyes and relishing in the comfort of his arms.

“Thank you for apologizing.”

Sitting down in his couch, he made sure you didn’t have a lot of work to do by calling Eunji who let him know you can finish the rest tomorrow. You grinned once he started praising you, his lips spewing words like “good girl you’ve been caught up with your work” while he kept you in his arms.

“I missed you,” Jimin continued and you chuckled at the way he had to keep touching you. “You’re coming home with me today. I don’t care, please. It’s been a week.”

“Jimin,” you laughed as his words out of how cute he was being and because his words tickled your neck, “you’ve lived without me. You couldn’t possibly have missed me this much.”

“Living without you seems crazy to me,” he said and you ignored the way your stomach filled with a fluttery feeling. The way he held you, touched you, hugged you, and his words deeply affected you. Liking him would be bad on your behalf, especially since he was in a committed relationship with 6 other men who have treated you with nothing but they upmost respect for you, except the eldest.

Everyone made your heart flutter.

Jungkook lifted you up in his arms with the intent to protect you from harms way. He protected you and stood up for you and was the voice you needed when you couldn’t speak up for yourself; he almost fought his guard for not wrapping your foot right but you didn’t want to say anything.

Taehyung and his deep voice calling you “baby” while whispered nothings escaped his lips. When he and Jungkook stayed the night again, he lulled you to sleep as he mumbled the way he thought you were so beautiful. Anything coming out from his lips sounded like he was reciting a poem.

Yoongi was someone whose passion showed in his eyes if you looked closer. It’s true you haven’t spent time as much, but his presence made you feel safe as well Hoseok and Namjoon’s. You wished to know them, but you already know the type of people they were once they also praised you. They were very talented, very kind, and they were so lovable. They protected you without you knowing, checking in on you when you were heading to work by subtly watching you make your way to their work building.

They admired you. You were everything in their eyes and they loved that they trusted you. The way they felt with Nabi was nothing compared to how they felt about you. Some knowing you for a short time, others spending time with you 24/7, but they all felt it.

“I’m taking you to dinner,” Jimin said, eyes staring into yours. He saw the way you quieted down, too into your thoughts. “What are you thinking of, pretty girl?”

“Nothing,” you smiled at him, causing him to repeat the action. “I missed you, too.”

He grinned at your words, hands going to your own. The way he seemed to want to touch you made you nervous. His fingertips pressing onto your skin. You glanced at your hands and he did, too.

“I’m sorry about Jin’s actions, too,” he spoke clearly and he placed a hand on the back of your head, bringing it closer so he could kiss your forehead. “He really did mean everything he said but I can’t speak for him. I’ll talk to him.”

You shook your head. “Let him do it on his own, not because he feels pressured to do so because you and the others tell him, okay?” He sighed and nodded slowly. “After all, I don’t want to make it seem like I’m begging him to become my friend. If he doesn’t want to, he doesn’t have to. I just want to become closer to him because he’s important to you all.”

You glanced at the exposed skin on his chest, a channel necklace resting there. He eyed your eyesight and smirked, chewing his bottom lip.

“You know I’ll do anything for you,” he said under his breath, making you stare back at him. “Anything. If anyone hurts you, tells you anything that hurts you, come to me, okay? If I even see you cry, I will not be kind to those who have caused those tears.”

“What if you make me cry?” You questioned and he scoffed.

“I’m never going to make you cry,” he held your face. “Never. I would never forgive myself if tears escaped your eyes because I have hurt you or I made you sad.

Only tears that are acceptable are happy ones, okay?”

You chuckled at his words and nodded along with them. “You’re so cheesy.”

“You, the others, you have made me like this,” he whispered, almost as if you two were sharing secrets. He smiled as he remembered something. “I have a surprise later. You’ll love it.”

As your faces were close, you both relished and deeply enjoyed the way you two were in each other’s comfort, in each other’s holds, whispering lines that many would assume you two are dating.

But the silence and the tension broke when Taehyung and Jungkook came into his office, their chests heaving up and down. They stared at you and stared at Jimin next.

Jungkook grabbed you while Taehyung stayed behind.

“I-” You simply let out and Jimin looked at you, a frown etched on his face as he tried to reach you. You turned to look at Jungkook. “What’s going on?”

“Listen,” Jungkook took you to the elevator, pressing the button to his floor, “Nabi is here.” You looked at him with a perplexed look, but your expression turned to one of confusion. “Listen, Jimin doesn’t… he’s not him when he’s around her. He gets angry. He’s the one who got attached to her quickly and he loved her first. He was hurt when he found out Nabi’s true intentions.”

“Was I taken away because he would’ve gotten angry?”

“Much more angry,” Jungkook grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers together as he made sure you were comfortable. You two immediately went to his office as soon as the doors open and you briefly waved at his assistant who did the same to you. “Listen, he is very sensitive to her. Very. But, he would never get angry at you. We just needed to tell him so he can start breaking things and then he’ll talk to her.”

“Why is she here?” You asked and he shrugged. “No idea. We just saw her right now on camera and knowing her, she’ll try to get to Jimin. Majority of the time, it will work, and I’m sorry on his behalf if he ignores you or anything. He is still sensitive to her.”

You just made amends with him and now your chance with him might be gone because of someone that hurt him? You couldn’t help but feel helpless, but you knew you couldn’t do much. All you could do is stay in your place and be there if he or the others need you.

Jimin couldn’t help but feel annoyed at you being taken away from him when it was his turn to be with you. Jungkook has had plenty of time with you and there he goes, taking you away.

“What are you doing?” Jimin asked Taehyung who grabbed him by his shoulders. “I need to be with—”

“Nabi is here.”

Jimin’s throat immediately closed up at the name, almost as if he was having an allergic reaction to the name of the woman who hurt him, who hurt the ones he loved by playing and toying with them, him. He had the happiness he deserved, he had his boyfriends, he has you, so why does that bitch get to come to him to ruin things? Oh, he was livid.

Taehyung watched as Jimin’s chest heaved up and down. He stepped aside, but Jimin’s anger went away once he thought about getting the chance to see you after Nabi leaves. The dinner with you. The way he can show you off to everyone by having you by his side with that beautiful body of yours and that stunning face of yours that always contain the most ethereal smiles. Nabi can’t ruin what he had with you.

“Why is she here?” Jimin mumbled, sitting down on the couch he and you were just sitting on. “Why did security not stop her?”

“She charmed her way.”

Jimin clenched his jaw. “I want security fired. We’ll hire more.” Taehyung nodded and took a mental note in his head. He sat down next to Jimin.

“Hey, don’t let her affect you,” he said, placing a hand on the back of his head. “That’s what she wants. When she comes here, do not give her the satisfaction. And do not bring up Y/n. She will try to ruin her.”

Jimin shook his head at the thought of her grimy hands on you or hateful words spewing from her lips. “I will kill her if she even does anything bad to her.”

Taehyung smirked and nodded, watching Jimin sit on the chair by his desk. Jimin glanced at the new photo propped up by his computer, smiling to himself as he saw the way your beautiful face withheld the smile that he loved to see. You were next to Jungkook, smiling widely at the camera, Taehyung on the other side, giving you a kiss on the cheek.

He loved it and that was part of his surprise. He still had more planned but, he knew you would love the fact he had a picture of you, Jungkook and Taehyung on his desk where anyone could see. But, right now, he had to put it away as soon as he heard the door open.

There a woman showed, her red hair illuminating under the sun shining on the door as if giving her a spotlight. She adorned jewelry, ones they had given her, and clothes that were up to people’s interpretation. He eyed her cleavage before giving her a look, questioning her motives.

“Why are you here?” Jimin raised an eyebrow and she sat on the chair in front of him, waving at Taehyung who glared at her.

Nabi smiled.

“Well, I just wanted to see you,” she shrugged. “I was near here and I hoped I would be able to see my handsome boys.”

Jimin’s eye twitched. “Nabi, you do not have permission to call us that. No one does.” Except Y/n if she definitely wants. “Why… are you here?”

She let out a sigh and watched him.

“I got a bit sad,” she admitted, her lips jutting out. “I heard from one of my friend’s you already replaced me with someone else.”

Jimin closed his eyes and inhaled and exhaled. He shook his head. “If that’s all you came here for, leave.”

“Is she better than me? What does she have that I don’t, hm?” Jimin ignored her, not giving her the answers she so desperately wanted to hear, knowing she will try to find you. “Jimin, answer me.”

“Nabi, shut up and leave, security is already on their way,” Jimin sighed, watching her with such an annoyed gaze. She huffed and shook her head.

“You loved me,” she continued. “You did. What happened to you?” He stayed quiet and she turned to look at Taehyung but he looked down at his fingernails instead. “She could never be me. Wait until I find her, she will hear everything you’ve told me and she will know she’s nothing.”

She walked away and Jimin let out a groan as soon as the door closed behind her. “I forgot how crazy she is. How did we even date her?”

“You fell for her,” Taehyung teased but he smiled comfortingly at Jimin. “We need to stray baby away from her. I will not be able to live if Nabi finds her and makes her doubt us.”

Jimin agreed. They can’t lose you. Not now, not ever. That’s why, while he came up with plans with Taehyung, you were still with Jungkook, tracing his tattoos with your fingertip.

“I like your tattoos,” you confessed and he gave you a toothy grin. “They suit you and you look amazing!”

The way you dragged the last few words made him stare at you. He really couldn’t help but just stare. “Thank you, angel.” He placed a hand on your thigh as you sat next to him and placed his head on top of yours. “We’ll go back to Jimin once he calls, okay? I know you two have dinner.”

You nodded and much like Jimin, your upcoming silence halted when the door opened, revealing a woman and Jungkook’s assistant apologizing to Jungkook.

“She just walked in,” the assistant defended herself and Jungkook raised a hand up, stopping his assistant from speaking any further. He stood in front of your figure once the woman looked at you.

“Hi, Kookie.”

“What do you want, Nabi?”

“Can someone tell me why I just got called by Mr. Kim telling me that his daughter was just fired after we promised him we’ll take her in?”

Jimin and Jungkook looked at Jin as he came to Jimin’s office, clearly seething by the way his cheeks were flushed. The other boys quickly came right behind him, shutting the door so they’ll be able to speak in peace without anyone hearing in.

“Well, Iseul has not only been harassing every worker in every division,” Jimin started, leaning against his desk as his arms were crossed over his chest, “but she has been physically hurting workers.”

“Do you have any proof of this?” Jin asked, already having an idea as to who made Jimin take action.

“Yes, I put cameras yesterday morning in my division,” Jimin replied, anger coursing through his veins once he recalled the video in his head. “My workers were aware I moved cameras by the way.”

“And I already know that worker of yours is the cause of this,” Jin snapped back and Jimin grabbed Jungkook’s hand in order to calm the man down. “If it were any other worker, you wouldn’t have paid attention to the harassment!”

“Yes, I would have,” Jimin defended his actions almost immediately so Jin wouldn’t have bad things to say about you. “I’m their boss, Jin. I would’ve believed my workers, anyone, if they confided in me to tell me who the person that has been bullying and physically hurting them is. Do not try to start something based on something that isn’t factual and true.”

“Jimin, I know you guys went out with her,” Jin argued. “We do not need anyone else in this relationship. No one else.” He punched the bridge of his nose and sighed. “Call her up. I want to talk to her.”

“I’m not doing that if you’re just going to yell at her,” Jimin stared back at him with the same expression etched on his face. He wasn’t happy about bringing you into an argument that you would later blame on yourself.

“Send her up, Jimin,” Jin got closer to Jimin and Namjoon stepped in, pushing both of them away from one another. He turned to look at Jimin.

“Just call her up, Jimin, okay?” Jimin exhaled through his nose, grabbing his phone while he glared at Jin who gave him back the same expression.

“Hey, Eunji,” Jimin spoke, “can you call Y/n up?” Pause. “Yeah, I just, uh, need to speak to her more about the incident with Iseul. The others are here to hear her side of the story… Yeah, send her up right now… okay, bye.” He went to go stand up next to Jungkook. “She’s coming up.”

“Good.”

It wasn’t long before you came to the floor, hands slightly shaking when you knew Jimin wasn’t the only one here. Everyone was in there.

“Y/n,” Taehyung greeted you, opening the door for you as soon as he heard you slightly knock on the door. You walked in and he gave you a reassuring smile before he closed the door behind you.

Jimin immediately walked towards you as the others sat on his couch, eyeing you.

“Listen, if you feel uncomfortable, just tap the side of my leg,” he instructed. “Jin is the one you haven’t met yet and he’s the one that wants to talk to you. I don’t know why but…” he sighed and stared at you with such softness. “I’ll be by your side.”

“Thank you,” you mumbled, smiling a little and he responded back, giving you the same smile. He stood aside and walked behind you as you headed towards the couch that could only fit two people. Jimin, of course, sat next to you.

You sat down and you looked at all of them, but the eyes of the one you haven’t met stared deep into you that made you look away, feeling uncomfortable.

“Why did you have Iseul fired?” Jin immediately asked before you could fully breathe. He gave you a deadpan expression, his eyes staying on you that you swore he wasn’t blinking. “Because from I saw, Iseul has never been accused of anything and she doesn’t have any complaints.”

“I didn’t have Iseul fired,” you replied with as much confidence as you could muster. Jimin stared at the side of your face. “She has simply been harassing me since the very beginning of my time here. She’s very powerful, everyone knows. She flaunts her title, her parents, and the fact she knows all of you. We all appreciate our jobs way too much that we won’t risk it by telling you guys what she has been doing, then finding out you guys are friends, and we get fired because she’s important.”

“It doesn’t excuse the fact that she doesn’t have any complaints against her name,” you arched an eyebrow at the man, irritation now coursing through your bones at the tone he spoke to you in.

“It seems you’re trying to excuse her actions, Mr. Kim,” you said, frowning at him. The ones who you have spoken the most to, agreed with you, nodding their heads.

“Yeah, Jin,” Taehyung spoke up, staring at his boyfriend with a disappointed expression, “it does seem that you’re trying to do that.”

“I’m sorry that I’m suspicious of your words,” Jin glared at you and your hands slightly shook with anger. “You see, Ms. Y/n, it’s not uncommon for a worker to lie in order to get money or to get into the pants of every single one of us.”

“Jin,” Jungkook stared him down but Jin simply waved him off as he looked at you.

“So, tell me, how much money do you want?”

“Mr. Kim, if I was just sent up here to basically be told that I’m a liar,” you started with the most calm tone you could muster as you stared down at your arm where your wound was covered up, blood slowly starting to seep through the bandage, “I would like to leave if that’s okay.”

“No—”

Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung turned to look at Jin as soon as he was about to deny your request. Yoongi nudged him as he sat next to him and nodded.

“You’re excused, y/n,” Namjoon looked at you, a small smile on his face. You thanked him and stood up to leave, opening the door before Jimin stopped you.

“I’m sorry about that,” he spewed out. “Honestly. I believe you. We’ll talk later okay?”

You sighed and you faced him, ignoring everyone’s stares. “It seems that Mr. Kim has an issue with me. I don’t want to talk to you if he he doesn’t like it, Jimin. He is your boyfriend, I’m a friend. His opinion matters more. I’ll see you around, okay?”

You tried to force a smile but there was an ache on your chest at knowing that you won’t be able to speak to Jimin. But, it’s the truth. His partner who he has been with for years doesn’t feel comfortable around you, you can see that. You are not going to be someone who accidentally gets stuck into those situations and you break anyone up. You had never dealt with any type of situations like these but, you hoped you were doing the right thing as you left.

As soon as the door closed, Jimin’s lips were parted. He had finally made a friend who didn’t criticize or objectify him, and now that friend was gone because Jin was being an asshole. Such… an asshole.

“What is wrong with you?” The guys eyed Jimin as he headed towards the eldest of the group. “You saw the video, Jin. It wasn’t her fault and she wasn’t lying.”

“Don’t let yourself be brainwashed,” Jin shrugged, staring at his hands that were clasped on top of his knee. “You already dealt with this with—”

“No, do not bring Nabi into this,” Jimin snapped, shaking his head. “She is in the past. She left and that’s it. There’s no reason for any of us to hold onto her when she stole from us and slept with other people. Y/n is my friend. She is not someone who I’m fucking around with.”

With that, Jimin left, closing the door behind him rather harshly. He hoped to get to you but he knew he had to at least respect your wishes for… today. He’ll seek for you tomorrow.

“He’s right, Jin,” Namjoon was the first one to speak his mind as he stared at the eldest who was silent. “Listen, we appreciate you taking care of us, always looking out for us, but it’s time we’re able to trust people. Not everyone but, if Jimin or any of the boys want to befriend her, let them. But, if you feel uncomfortable or if you feel like you personally don’t trust her and have that feeling in your gut, then your feelings are valid. They won’t hang with her, okay?”

Jin looked at Namjoon and sighed. He eyed everyone there and turned to look at the ones who have gotten to know you: Jungkook, Taehyung, and Yoongi.

“Do you guys like her?” He asked. The three glanced at one another. “Be honest with me.”

“She’s so sweet,” Taehyung spoke. “Genuinely. We got to know her and her intentions aren’t bad. Since we learned from Nabi, we looked for red flags. There aren’t none with Y/n. She especially cares so much about Jimin.”

“I’ll talk to him at home,” Jin breathed out and he stood up, buttoning his blazer. His gaze focused on Jungkook. “Go check up on him. Knowing him, he’s going to kill someone.”

Jungkook nodded and left, quickly following after Jimin, knowing he was already by the parking lot with their guards. He couldn’t help but think about you and the way you looked. The wound on your arm made his hands turn into fists, angry at the fact someone hurt such a kind person like you. You didn’t do anything but already knowing Iseul, she only came at you and the way you looked. He experienced her hatred when he was younger so he already knew the type of person she was.

He looked up once he felt the elevator stop, making him stare in the furious eyes of a girl who was already pressing on the buttons.

“Stupid men,” she mumbled under her breath, shaking her head while tapping her foot furiously on the floor. But, she stopped once she finally noticed the figure behind her. She looked and softly gasped, immediately bowing. “Mr. Jeon.”

“Ari, right?” The girl nodded. “Tell Y/n I’m sorry. She has my phone number, I’ll be calling her later.”

Ari nodded yet again, being left behind dumbfounded when Jungkook left. His guards followed behind him, leading him towards Jimin who had, thankfully, not left yet.

“You doing okay?” Jungkook asked, appearing next to Jimin’s side. Jimin didn’t look at him and looked straight ahead, sighing. “Listen, Jin is just protecting us.”

“I know he is,” Jimin answered. “But, he’s not doing it in a way that is good. We have experienced Iseul’s horrible ways, he should’ve understood that that’s the type of person she is.”

“I know.”

“And Y/n doesn’t want to basically talk to me,” Jimin breathed out. “I finally made a friend who treats me as a human being and not a monster or an object. She genuinely wants to get to know me. That old hag… Nabi ruined it for the others.”

“Nabi was a horrible person,” Jungkook said, following behind him into the car. They both situated themselves and put on their seatbelts, still thinking about the events that had happened. “We just fell in love with the wrong person.”

“We kill people,” Jimin started, his head moving side to side to display his anger at speaking about his past lover. “We have blood in our hands. We torture people to tell us what we need to know, yet we couldn’t tell when Nabi lied to us. We were just candy to her. She stole from us, lied to us, wasn’t loyal to us, and she made us do everything for her because she knew we would do anything for her.”

“Love made us blind, Jimin,” Jungkook reassured him, grabbing his hand. “We fell for her. Hard. We have been dating for years and getting someone new into our relationship simply made us all excited. We didn’t see what others could. Our parents didn’t see it either. It’s not our fault.”

Jimin nodded at his words and slumped his shoulders. “Y/n doesn’t want anything to do with me, us. I get her opinion, though. She said she won’t talk to me if Jin feels uncomfortable that she’s doing so. She’s such an angel, though, because she got accused of basically being a gold digger by Jin and yet, she’s thinking of his feelings.”

“Listen, Jin is just… taking care of us,” Jungkook looked down to catch Jimin’s attention and smiled a little when he made eye contact with him. “After Nabi, we were all heartbroken and Jin had to pick up the pieces that she broke while he was handling his own pain. I know right now you feel this way because Y/n has become your friend, but look at the issue in point of view.”

“I know,” Jimin mumbled, his chest heaving by the amount of sighs he leg out while he licked his lips. “I just wish he wasn’t so harsh, you know? He should trust us.”

“I know, I know,” Jungkook wrapped an arm around his shoulders, bringing their heads together. “We’ll go home and we need to talk to Y/n, whether she likes it or not.”

Jimin chuckled. “That’ll be nice. I already miss her.”

Jungkook smiled before the two quieted down, admiring the scenery. He could only think of you and he knew Jimin was thinking of you, too.

It was odd the way you easily bonded with them. Especially with him, Jimin, Taehyung, and Yoongi. All four were the quietest out of the 7, and for you to manage to get them out their shells for a bit was more than enough for Jungkook to be able to trust you with his older partners and with him.

“Jungkook said he’ll call you later,” Ari told you as soon as you two sat down for dinner in your apartment. Eunji sat across from you, her son by her side as he ate some cut up potatoes that Eunji had said, “He has an obsession with potatoes. Do not get any, he’ll throw a fit.”

“I don’t really feel like it’s fair for Mr. Kim,” you frowned, shaking your head. Ari and Eunji arched their eyebrows as if asking which one. “The older one. He seemed like he was uncomfortable with me… and he was! He really asked how much money I wanted.”

“He’s probably taking care of them emotionally, honey,” Eunji threw you a pitied look. “I mean, they haven’t personally talked to anyone since the employee that used to work in our division got fired.”

You sighed and nodded, playing with your food. “Yeah, you’re right. I just feel like he could’ve dealt with the situation better instead of calling me a liar when there was evidence and there are people who saw the situation happen. I know you two have my back. The other workers… not so much.”

“Look, just give him a chance to know you,” Ari reassured you by placing her hand on top of yours, hoping to soothe your nerves. “If he doesn’t want to, it’s his loss. But you at least know that Jimin, or any of the boys you have met, didn’t exactly know what he was going to say.”

“Wait for them to call,” Eunji suggested, a smirk forming on her lips. You snorted and shook your head.

“I doubt they’ll even remember.”

As dinner passed by quickly, Ari, Eunji, and her child left your home. You were thankful that they at least helped you clean and you quickly did all of your business before heading to bed.

As you got out of the shower and changed, you went to bed, after making sure everything was locked and secured in your house, and just laid there. You really didn’t know what to think about the situation, but your friends were. You should cut Jin some slack and you do what to but it’s the he humiliated you and said some things he shouldn’t have said.

Your phone buzzing broke you off of your thoughts. You grabbed it and looked at the screen, smiling a little at seeing Jimin’s name showing up. Maybe you should ignore it, but you knew you would feel bad so you answered.

“Hello?” You responded, putting the phone on speaker.

“Hey,” you heard the way his voice softened, speaking to you in almost a hushed whisper. “Did I wake you?”

“No, I hadn’t gone to sleep yet, don’t worry,” you chuckled a little, feeling your heart beating against your chest. You placed a hand on top and calmed your breathing down. “Why are you calling me?”

“I’m sorry for how things went in the office,” he apologized and you heard the way he let out a sigh, clearly phased by his partner’s actions. “Jin isn’t like that but, I hope you do understand he is very cautious about women who befriend us. He has been the one to pick us all up once we get hurt and he always takes care of us. With you, his instincts went off. We got close to you in a matter of two weeks and he got worried.” He heard silence. “I know his reaction wasn’t right at all and I apologize on his behalf. He shouldn’t have assumed you were doing anything because of money.”

“I know he doesn’t know me,” you started, “but it still hurt to be accused of basically wanting to sleep with you guys or be accused of wanting money. The harassment I receive at work is no joke and it’s not something I would exactly like about.”

“I know, flower,” there goes your heart again, “I know. But, I am sorry, okay? And he doesn’t mind that we hang out with you. Everyone stood up for you so he saw that we trusted you.”

You softly giggled while your eyes drooped from the lateness and lack of sleep. “That’s nice of you guys. Thank you.”

“I was going to ask you a favor by the way,” you heard him say and you hummed, gesturing for him to continue. “Is it okay if we can sleep on call? I’m sleeping alone today and the others went to a business meeting real quick. It’ll only be for today.”

You smiled a little and nodded. “It’s okay, Jimin. We can stay on. I won’t be heading to work tomorrow either way. I have my day off.”

You heard Jimin snickered and sheets rustling. “I’ll come visit you with food then. I miss your presence.” Your face flushed and you cleared your throat. “I don’t hear any talk back so I’ll show up.”

“No you aren’t,” you scoffed, not believing his words. Jimin hummed.

“Watch me.”

You smiled at his words. “Goodnight, Jimin. Sweet dreams.”

“Goodnight, y/n, sweet dreams,” Jimin repeated back and you cuddled your blankets, placing your phone on the night stand beside you, letting it charge. You heard him talk. “Before you fully sleep, Namjoon and Hoseok want to go to lunch with you. Get to know you. Don’t worry, I’ll be there.”

“Mhm, I’ll go, but you better come pick me because I don’t want another one of you knowing my address.”

“Be quiet and get enough rest for tomorrow.”

“Okay, okay. Goodnight.”

“Goodnight, flower.”

Combined Beings (xviii)

“What if we don’t get to her in time?”

Jimin was freaking out. Turns out that the tracker of the bracelet was left in an abandoned place that didn’t have you in it. He was freaking out the most while the others had your sister and basically had her and her husband zip-tied together. Your mom, father, and Iseul’s mom weren’t far from them.

Namjoon grabbed Iseul’s mom’s arm harshly, pushing her in front of him. “Where’s your daughter, Haneul?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” said woman shrugged as if the man in front of her wouldn’t kill her.

Namjoon took out his gun, pointing the barrel of it on the front of her forehead. “Where is your damn daughter, Haneul?” Silence. He let out a low chuckle. “You want to place this game, huh? Okay then.” He turned to look at Yoongi. “Call Mr. Kim. I’m sure he’d love to hear what his wife has been doing behind his back.”

Yoongi nodded and grabbed his phone, quickly dialing the number of the older man, who answered not even a second later.

“Mr. Min, nice to hear from you,” the man greeted, a chuckle escaping past his lips as he talked to someone on his end. “I’m hoping the shipment has gone well.”

“Mr. Kim, we have your wife right here with us,” Yoongi stoically said, not even greeting the man. “Your wife and step-daughter have our girl, kidnapped her. If your wife doesn’t give the location of where she is and where your daughter is, too we will stop all business with you, you will not have Bangtan’s protection, and we will turn every alliance with you against you.”

There was a beat of silence. The conversation in the backgrounds was silenced, almost as if Mr. Kim moved somewhere else.

“Pass me Haneul,” Yoongi passed Namjoon his phone, who later gave it to Haneul. She wasn’t happy about his actions and snatched it, hands slightly shaking once the object was tightly held in her hand. Her shaky ‘hello’ let the man know it was her. “What the hell is wrong with you? You do not get to take the girl of Bangtan. Don’t you realize they protect us, that they are the reason we have what we have!”

“I get it but—”

“No, Haneul, you do not get it,” Mr. Kim continued to rant as the others listened intently to the conversation. “They are my bosses! I work for them. I give them the shipments they need, they get it and they give me money. My alliance with them gave us protection and money. You doing what you did with your spoiled daughter is harming that and we will have nothing. Do you want to work, Haneul? Do you want to be killed?”

“No.”

“Good, then give them their girl at once,” Haneul passed the phone to Namjoon who hovered it by his lips.

“Hello?”

“I’m sorry, Namjoon,” Mr. Kim apologized profusely. “I really am. If they do not give you the location, I will step in and take literal actions. Let me know if they’re not cooperating and let me know if I can do anything once you find your girl. I am indebted to you.”

“Good. You better hope she’s alive and well for your sake, Kim.”

Namjoon hung up and passed Yoongi his phone, gaze still stuck on the older woman.

“Where is she?” Hobi asked next, glaring at her. Jin stood next to him, his eyes set ablaze as he felt the longer they spent trying to get information, the more time Iseul and her little boyfriend spent hurting you.

“She’s with some guards at Daeseong’s place,” Haneul breathed out, gulping at the glares she received. “I’ll give you the address but please, don’t kill my daughter.”

Namjoon didn’t give her an answer so, without hesitation, she gave the man the address of the place, hoping that her incompetent daughter will not be killed.

Jimin buttoned up his blazer nervously, walking towards the car with the others while some guards stayed behind to look over the people held hostage. They’ll let you talk with them first before letting them leave.

“I hope she’s okay,” Jungkook muttered, holding Jimin’s hand tightly against his. “We didn’t prepare her a lot for situations like these.”

“She’ll be fine, Kook.”

And fine you were.

“Your wife should be appreciative of you. You work so hard!”

“That’s what I have been thinking, too!”

You didn’t know how you ended up in this position, but so far every guard that worked for Iseul has been coming to you for advice. You ended up from being beaten a little, blood coming out from your nose, to now being apologized to and looked for so they could talk to you about their problems.

As of right now, one of the guards, Jake, was sitting in front of you, talking about his issues with his wife, who resembled your mother a lot.

“Since you’ve tried talking to her,” you started as you drank out of the juice box they had given you, “I might sound mean but, be straight up with her. Tell her that you’re going to leave her if she also doesn’t stop using drugs. You’ve been there for her every step of the way, but it’s just become overbearing for you.”

“You’re right,” Jake breathed out, nodding slowly as he let out a sigh. His agape mouth closed and he then smiled at you. “Thanks, Y/n. Sorry for beating you up by the way. I thought you were the bad guy.”

“Ah, Iseul just wants to kill me because I got her fired,” you shrugged as if it was nothing. “Bullied me and physically harmed me very bad.”

“Yeah, I’m only doing this because her dad is the big boss but now, I don’t think we’re even getting paid,” you snorted and nodded with his words before the other guards came in. “Guys, y/n is pretty cool.”

“I got the gift you told me to get,” another guard, Spit, who admitted that the nickname he had received was embarrassing and that he and his wife had been arguing about it, called out from the crowd. “She forgave me and we talked about it. You were right, though, flowers and an apology from the heart fixed it.”

“You all need to be mindful of your spouses,” you announced to those who came forward about simply problems based on their husband and wives. “Blade, your wife just wanted a simple dinner and you made her seem like she wanted so much more. You’re going to her or else I’ll tell my boyfriends to make you beg in front of her, okay?” You wouldn’t do that but it seemed to spook him. “Good. While others, do not let your spouse walk all over you. You deserve better, not someone screaming in your ear you’re nothing, hitting you, no more abuse. Walk away from that situation, but if you have kids, do not leave them with that person. Got it?”

A chorus of “yes ma’am”’s ran around the room and you snorted to yourself at the situation. The boys would think you were in danger but here you were, giving advice to those who were supposed to torture you.

“What the hell are you all doing?”

All of you turned to look at Iseul and Daeseong who came forward, disbelief spread over their faces at the fact that you weren’t being harmed at all.

“You need to leave me alone, Iseul,” you breathed out, letting out a sigh shortly after once she snapped her neck to look at you. “You having me here isn’t going to do anything to me. If anything, I’m safer here.”

“You guys are all being paid to do work,” Iseul snapped, glaring at each man in the room, even Daeseong. “Do not tempt in taking back that money.”

“Iseul,” you spoke, her gaze now on you, “your dad doesn’t have a single idea as to what you’re doing. You use his money so, how are you going to pay these guys?”

“What do you mean my dad doesn’t know?” Iseul scoffed, hiding her nervousness. You arched an eyebrow at her words, sipping your drink. She eyed it before taking it away, though, she couldn’t get to you as the men protected you by standing in front of you.

You peered over the man’s shoulder in front of you, coming to remember that he was called Bear. His friends had let you know that despite his 6’7 figure along with his cold exterior, he was so warm like a teddy bear. You weren’t surprised that he protected you. He had told you that you resembled his daughter who Iseul had threatened. You reassured him that your boyfriend’s had connections with her father and they weren’t going to let her get close to his daughter. That was all he needed to hear.

“Your dad doesn’t know, Iseul,” you continued, your drink in hand. “It’s just you and your mom. You already know how important Bangtan’s business is to your dad and he wouldn’t be with you in this if it meant it would harm his own business.”

“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You got fired,” you frowned at her actions when she tried reaching for you. “You hurt me badly. You were a bully and it sucks, Iseul. You’re such a beautiful girl and you were just never given attention to until now.”

“Shut the fuck up, Y/n,” Iseul fumed at the words you spilled over her life. You sighed, knowing it wasn’t your business either to tell her about her life when you didn’t know her personally. “Listen, I’m going to kill you in front of them. I mean, I had been wanting them for so long and all of a sudden, all of a sudden, you come and they immediately take you into their relationship. You’re nothing and I have everything.”

“You’re saying that in front of Daeseong?” You gaped at her words, surprised that she admitted to wanting the men in your life in front of her boyfriend. Even Daeseong was surprised at her admission. “Look, I get you want them, or wanted them, but you’re harming everything your dad has built.”

“He’s not my dad,” Iseul spat out.

“He actually is.”

Everyone turned to look at who spoke and there they came to find 7 angry men, their eyes set on Iseul and Daeseong. You let out a sigh of relief at coming to notice their figures, running towards them. Jin was the first one to grab a hold of you, arms going around your waist to hold you tightly against his body.

“You’re okay,” he breathed out, a hand placing itself on the back of your head. “Did they hurt you?”

“They protected me against Iseul and Daeseong,” you murmured against the nape of his neck and he nodded, letting Jimin hug you next and hold you. He turned to look at the men.

“You protected her?” They all nodded.

“She was a great listener,” Jake said and the boys frowned at what he meant but, they knew you really must’ve impacted them since they were defending you.

“You’re all working for us,” Namjoon glanced at them. “You will be paid and get protection for your family. Because of your protection to her, you will now be Y/n’s guards.”

“Yay,” you let out, dragging the word out.

“And you,” Namjoon then turned to look at Iseul and Daeseong, “you two suck at kidnapping. No one was guarding the outside.”

“I told you to leave people out there,” Daeseong hissed, staring at Iseul who rolled her eyes at his words, waving him off.

“Your dad wants to speak to you,” Jungkook grinned, finding it amusing that Iseul is going to get in trouble by the man she deemed worthless since Mr. Kim wasn’t her father.

Yoongi passed her his phone. She ignored it so he went behind her, pushing Daeseong into Taehyung’s arms. He grabbed her wrists and zip-tied them.

“Hey! Let me go.”

“After you kidnapped her,” he looked at you before glancing at the side of Iseul’s face, “you’re coming with us. That’s going to be nice, huh? Now here.”

He placed his phone on speaker, hovering it by her face. You listened as her father answered, feeling Jungkook kissing your neck while Namjoon instructed the hired men to grab your parents, sister and her husband, and Iseul’s mom.

“What the hell were you thinking, Iseul?” Mr. Kim’s booming voice sounded out loud but you were focused on Jungkook’s kisses, along with Hobi and Jimin who stepped forward to also hold you and kiss you. “I had to find out from Namjoon about your dumb, stupid decisions.”

“They were not dumb.”

“They were dumb if you fucking got caught,” Mr. Kim continued to scold her and the other boys who weren’t kissing you, watched as she glared at the phone. “I want you to come home but, I already gave the boys permission to take you with them. While you’re with them, the cards that you have will be frozen. You have to make me trust you again and you’re not getting money until you do so.”

“But, Dad!” Iseul whined, stomping her feet. “I have outfits I need to buy.”

“You would’ve lived in the streets if their girl even got hurt or killed, Iseul,” Mr. Kim continued scolding her. “Like I told your mom, they’re my bosses. They give us what we have.”

“I don’t care, she deserved it.”

Mr. Kim sighed. “Yoongi, Namjoon, send her to me, please. I’ll punish her here. In the meantime, I found out from her bank statements that she was transporting money to someone named Nabi.”

“Oh, God,” Jin groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. He breathed in. “You worked with Nabi?”

“She worked for me,” Iseul confessed, glaring at you. Jimin pushed you behind him, grabbing his gun. “I paid her to get to you, even told her how to get through security. She wanted in because she wanted more money so, I gave her what I could all while she was getting to you but no, Y/n was already weaving herself into you all. I had to try harder.”

“So it was your fault she got hurt?” Taehyung scoffed. He grabbed his gun, too, holding it closer to Daeseong’s back. “What do you know, little Daeseong?”

“I’m not telling you shit,” he mumbled, looking away. He heard the click of the gun and let out a shaky breath. “Nabi was my sister. Well, step-sister. I didn’t meet Iseul until Nabi introduced me to her. I didn’t want to be included in this until I found out my sister was killed by him,” he looked at Jimin, “and later my best friends were killed. They were the ones in the bar. I’m surprised, though, that you never noticed I lived next to you.”

He looked at you now and you let out a shaky breath, anxious at the fact that he could’ve killed you so easily.

“I was the neighbor that Jimin noticed staring at you,” Daeseong continued. “Nabi had been stalking them 7. I told her to let it go but, she went on. She found you as a threat, though, when Jimin had hired you, stared at your picture for days. She was there when he chose you. She knew. She found out where you lived so she made me move.”

“You always watered your plants,” you muttered, processing the information told to you. “I always told you to have a good morning because you looked miserable.”

“Yeah, because I was just staring at you and making sure what you were doing. I should’ve killed you since the first day. Such a fucking burden.”

You turned around and placed your face on Jungkook’s chest, his arms wrapping securely around your body.

Taehyung leaned in to whisper in his ear, pressing the barrel of the gun against his skin until he made sure it would bruise.

“You wanted to kill someone I love, huh?” He chuckled sarcastically, eyeing the way your hands slightly shook. His jaw tightened as the boys calmed you down. “I’m not going to spill what I’m going to do with you but, you will be conscious once you get killed by me.”

Daeseong gulped at his threats.

“We’ll take Iseul to you, Mr. Kim,” Namjoon spoke, gesturing towards the men holding your family to come in. “It’s time we bring our girl back to our place either way.”

“Apologize to her for me,” Mr. Kim sighed. “I will be sending a new shipment to you and new jewelry for her. I’m sure you’ll love to see her in it.”

“Thank you,” Namjoon hung up the phone for Yoongi before turning to look at your mom. “I’ve been wanting to kill you since I heard Y/n’s memories about you. But, I will ruin your life as much as you ruined hers.”

“Y/n, what the hell have you gotten yourself into?” Your mom immediately yelled at you. You sighed and rolled your eyes, ignoring her words as she tried coming at you.

You looked at Hobi and Jungkook. “Can we go?”

“Come on, beauty,” Hobi kissed your head. You turned to look at your sister and dad, who were being told they could leave, a frown forming. “Go. They could come with us if you want.”

“Can they really?” Hobi smiled as he came to see the sparkle in your eyes. He nodded and you walked towards the family you loved. Your mom quickly tried getting to you, but everyone raised their guns at her that prevented her from moving forward. You hugged your sister before hugging your dad next. “Come with me to talk about what happened, please? We need to catch up.”

“Yes, we do,” your sister chuckled, quieting down. “I got so scared once I didn’t see you and just saw bodies.”

“I’ll explain what happened. They’ll take you to their home but, Jimin told me before that newcomers get blindfolded so, expect to be blindfolded.”

They nodded and your sister’s husband stared at his brother, shaking his head, disappointment coursing through him. You looked between the two and your sister reassured you that she will talk to him.

You walked towards the rest of the boys waiting for you, Jimin immediately grabbing you back into his arms, too afraid to let go while those who hurt you were in the same room as you

In a flash, you made it back to the car, tiredness consuming your body at the state of events that happened. You could only relish in the calmness of your surroundings and the warmth that radiated from Jin and Jungkook’s bodies, Jimin was in front, your hand in his.

“Go to sleep, baby,” Jungkook softly said, his hand gripped your thigh while the other was around your neck. “I’ll be here to hold you.”

“Keep me safe, Kook.”

“I will. We will.”

“I hate you guys so much,” you huffed while continuing to follow their steps as you held tightly onto Namjoon’s hand.

The fact that the seven of them had somehow forced you to take a walk with them at night in the middle of the woods made you angry and extremely fearful.

“You chose to come, sweetie,” Yoongi pointed out.

“Yeah because you guys wouldn’t shut up about me getting haunted if I stayed behind,” you half shouted with caution of awakening any scary creatures in the woods that could kill you.

It was a somewhat normal day when Jin suggested going camping for a night since everyone was free. You were excited at first to hang out with your best friends and go on an adventure until the sun settled and darkness began to consume the sky. That was when the guys decided on telling scary stories. You and Hoseok almost peed your pants trying your best not to scream too loud. And then of course Jungkook just had to suggested venturing out into the woods which the others agreed to.

You of course debated on not going and wanted to stay behind. Hoseok was somehow convinced by Jimin and Jungkook and Taehyung continued on telling you scary stories and threatening your life with it until you finally agreed on going with them.

And that was how you ended up walking in the woods with the guys at midnight.
