8 Makes 1 Team

She walked down the hall and entered the break room where other physiatrists sat having their breaks eating or chatting

She just sat down quietly minding her business and ate her croissant as she reviewed her next patients file so she could have a clue on how to deal with him later on

" Oh gosh , she has that bully as a patient ”

" The Kang Yeosang ?! "

" That boy is such a nightmare "

Her colleges started to rant about the young boy

" wasn't he the one that caused three people to jump from the rooftop last year ? "

" Yeah also this year 2 more took their lives because he encouraged them to "

Some of them gasped as others just avoided talking about Yeosang

" How can a 16 year old be that cruel ? "

The one woman said as she shook her head

“ He even threatened to do an acid attack last month on one of the kids because he chewed loudly ”

“ I would understand since he has misophonia ”

“ That doesn’t give that bully the right just because he is sensitive to chewing sounds ”

" Why do you guys talk about these children like that have you even thought about helping them to get better instead of gossiping about them ? "

Y/n looked fed up as everyone went silent

" Your just this calm because you haven't met him yet , he's horrible so be careful "

Everyone packed their bags and left her there alone until she decided to also leave and go towards the boys room that had a red sticker on it but that didn't mean anything to her so she just walked in seeing a black mullet haired boy that laid down swinging his legs in the air

" Not another incompetent freak to irritate me today , wait who are you ? "

" Your new physiatrist , may I know your name ? Just so I can get more comfortable talking to you if that- "

" But I don't want you to get comfortable with me , who gave you the damn permission to walk in here and demand things from me "

She chuckled and approached the boy

" So your not going to tell me your name? "

" Are you deaf ? I told you I don't want you ass-kisser to get comfortable with me "

" Do you think it's nice to call someone you just meet names ? Is it that entertaining? "

He started laughing and sat up

" They deserve it , you guys deserve to suffer and I'm all in for it to see your painful faces "

" And this reminds me of that dumb girl Soojin that jumped from the rooftop killing herself just because I called her a imbecile and told her the truth she already knew anyways "

" And what was this so called truth ? "

" That her parents don't love her and she would never get out of here , parents that are tired of their children just abandon them here "

" And do you think it was ok to do so ? Don't you know that the littlest things could push the other person to their edge or worse just like what happened to the girl ? "

" She just jumped it's not like I pushed her "

He scoffed and plopped down onto his bed

" What are you still doing here anyways? aren't you going to bawl your eyes out like the others and run out of here ? "

Y/n chuckled as she adjusted her coat

" If your going to be scared of your patients than what's the logic of working here ? "

" You've got a point , why are you working here anyway ? Don't you get tired of working for these dunce ass kids that won't get better any time sooner or better to say they won't ever ? "

" I guess you don't know why we are here than"

She chuckled and eyed the boy who suddenly sat up and looked at her confused

" If your that smart of an ass explain "

" The goal of a physiatrist is to help patients recover their functional wellbeing and to return to a healthy and functional life so until they don't reach that goal they won't leave "

" Good to know that I won't get out of here "

" And why do you think so ? "

The boy huffed sadly and closed his eyes

" I have no one waiting for me outside these depressive walls that I have to call home "

She noticed tears and a smile across his face when he suddenly started laughing

" I guess I was born to suffer all alone , how does it feel to be a loved child ? "

" I'm an orphan , they died in a attack that occurred at the supermarket a long time ago "

" Imagine going to buy something to eat and end up getting killed how pathetic"

the boy bursted out laughed loudly as he looked the elder straight in the eyes but weirdly stopped after seeing how unfazed she was about him laughing to something that probably was causing her pain but none of that was shown

" Are you finished ? was it amusing ?"

" A-A little bit , but why are you not crying or scolding me for laughing about your tragedy?"

" Because I know you couldn't help it , and I grew past the stage of getting hurt over these little things my patients do , your not the first one that did this "

She rubbed her knees and looked at the boy who just sat there looking at her

" It felt good but looking at you doesn't make it funny anymore and I don't know why "

He huffed and threw the blanket away from his body

" Do they treat you well here ? "

" No , I hate it here and than they say their here to help me get better "

" And what do you mean by that ? "

" Tha-ats none of your business "

" Listen if you feel comfortable with telling me something I'm all ears but when you don't I will just respect your choice ok ? "

" Stop acting nice it disgusts me "

The boy cursed under his breath looking away

" Well that's just how I am , I would be a hypocrite if I treated you just like they do "

She chuckled and stood up but started smiling softly after the boy spoke up

" It's Yeosang by the way "

" I see someone decided to tell me their name "

" You better appreciate it now leave "

Y/n nodded and went out smiling softly

Be The Light (Part 3)

“Straighten your back and concentrate,” you reprimand Yeosang for the third time today. “If you don’t balance your weight on both your feet when you’re throwing a punch, it’ll be easier for someone to take you down.”

“Shadow’s right,” San adds from where he is lounging on the floor. “If you don’t keep perfect form, you become an easier target since you can be thrown off balance by the weakest of attacks.”

“Why don’t you do it if you’re so good then?” Yeosang rolls his eyes at the younger male, who stands up with a smirk.

“Why not? Watch and learn, Yeosang-ie,” he sing-songs.

But Yeosang isn’t listening. Instead, the male has dropped onto the floor, wheezing as he tries to catch his breath. He wipes the sweat lining his brow with one hand, all the while trying to reach the bottle of water to cool himself down. You bite back an amused laugh, nudging it within his reach. He thanks you profusely before basically inhaling the liquid.

It has been more than three weeks since your late-night run-in with Yunho. That day, you had decided to bottle up your emotions to the best of your abilities and finally begin training them. It is hard, but with their mannerisms being quite different from your friends, it does make it slightly easy for you to distance yourself from them.

For now, you’ve been focusing on teaching them how to fight and build their stamina, and surprisingly they’re really fast learners and pick up moves quickly, which is impressive, considering they didn’t know anything about the art of fighting.

“You know, you’re low-key good when you actually try to fight,” you comment, leaning over to level Yeosang with an amused expression.

He groans, sitting up from his lying position to glare at you. “Why do you keep insisting on me learning how to fight? You know I’m good with technology. I can just stay here, oversee your plans, and look out for you while you’re out and about.”

“You will be doing that,” you sigh, settling down a few feet away from him and gesturing for San to do the same. “But you need to know how to protect yourself. What if someone breaks in and attacks you? Or what if everyone is engaged in a fight, and we can’t be there when you need one of us to help?”

“So bossy,” He huffs, puffing his cheeks out. “I liked you better when you weren’t speaking to us.”

The tension that had been growing between the two of you snaps when San starts laughing at his comment. His laughter causes the two of you to start giggling as well.

“I have a question,” you fiddle with your fingers when you calm down, continuing when they hum. “Why did you agree to come here to help me? I mean… why would anyone want to leave that universe to come to… this place?”

San coughs awkwardly, looking away from you, while Yeosang glances at the other male nervously. They seem to be having a conversation with their eyes before San turns to you with a smile, eyes seeming distant.

“I don’t think we’re the ones who should tell you,” he mutters apologetically. “The decision was collective on our part because our individual reasons to come here intersect with the group's motivations. We could tell you our reasons, but it would also mean that we would have to divulge information about the others too, and I’m not sure if they’ll be okay with us doing that without explicit permission.”

You realize it is a sensitive topic and that you should have kept your mouth shut when you see their expressions. You shake your head and stand up, deciding that it would be best to stop here, “I understand. I was just curious, and I apologize for bringing it up.”

“It’s fine. I mean, what kind of idiots would leave a life of freedom to come and help a stranger in a dystopian dimension, right?” San’s lips curl up at the corners, his dimple showing as mirrors your actions. “By the way, weren’t we supposed to show Yeosang how to fight?”

That’s the only warning you get before San launches himself at you. You’re glad that you’ve trained for years because otherwise, you would never have been able to drop to your knees and duck down in time to dodge his attack. His body sails over yours, and he tucks into a roll before jumping back up to lunge at you again. You slip out of his range again and dart your leg out to take him down, then step behind him to pull his arm backward.

“You were saying?”

Be The Light (Part 3)

The darkness holds you, clinging onto you like smoke. Since you were a child, you had reveled in the darkness. There was just something about the absence of light that always helped you to breathe easier. Later on in life, after the world fell into Z’s hands, you weaponized the shadows, using the cover of darkness to wreak havoc on the utilitarian regime.

However, there’s something odd about this darkness. It doesn’t greet you like an old friend, nor does it soothe your nerves. Instead, it morphs your surroundings into sinister shapes, distorting everything beyond recognition. The shadows loom and spread as far as you can see, not that you’re able to discern much in the first place.

It starts, then, the screams, which cause pain to blossom in your chest. It feels as if something is constricting you, not allowing your lungs the respite that comes with the much-needed oxygen. You gasp for air, each inhale nothing short of a wheeze, but it doesn’t help at all. You’re as breathless as before. Tears form in your eyes, and you can feel them traveling down your cheeks, merging with the cold sweat that has begun to drip down from your forehead as well.

Faces flash in the darkness, the faces of your parents, your friends from before the takeover and the subsequent rebellion, and then the faces of the eight people you’d give anything to have again. That’s all it takes for you to start screaming; you scream and scream and scream, hoping that it will fill the void left behind.

You wake up with a shriek, eyes wide open, and lungs gasping for breath. The walls of the room echo in the aftermath of the shrill sound, and you choke out a sob. It’s the same nightmare you have had every night after you returned from the failed attempt to take down the government. With clammy hands, you force yourself up on the bed, tuck your knees to your chest and start counting, timing your breaths with the numbers.

It has been a little over a month since you lost them and a month since you brought the boys from Universe A to your world. Still, no matter how hard you try, nothing can stop your nightmares. They come back night after night, tearing you apart with a vengeance, and each morning, you pick up the broken pieces, glue them together and walk out of your room, taking down Z being the only thing on your mind for the next few hours. Time passes like this, days running together in a monotonous blur of scouting, training, and communicating with Left Eye.

Weeks pass, and still, the nightmares remain.

Once you’ve calmed down somewhat, you lie back down and close your eyes, desperately trying to catch a few more hours of rest. But twenty minutes later, when you’re still wide awake, you realize that you won’t be able to go back to sleep. So you push yourself from the bed, get ready for the day with bleary eyes and heavy feet and do the only thing that seems to make sense after the nightmare: you decide to head outside.

“Where are you going?”

It’s close to four a.m., so you weren’t expecting anyone to still be awake. Hence when you hear a deep voice speak to you, you are startled and whirl around to see Seonghwa watching you warily from the doorway of the kitchen. He eyes the cloak in your hand and the pistol tucked at your hip, raising a brow impatiently when you don’t answer him immediately. You’ve come to learn that he’s a serial worrier and that sometimes ensuring people are okay involves him being a little harsh with them.

“Out,” you reply, and you know he’s unimpressed by your one-word answer when he purses his lip in annoyance.

“Why?”

“Well,” you smile discomfitingly, amused by the way his cool expression falters a bit. “We had a team for gathering food for everyone, but now it’s just the nine of us, and even though you have been training, you have no experience of my world. So, I’m the only one who can go out and get the resources we need without getting into trouble. Unless, of course, you’d rather starve.”

Silence reigns for a few minutes, during which he blinks at you, unsure how to tread further. Then the taller male sighs, annoyance giving way to resignation, “I’ll come with you.”

“You’ll what?” The disbelief that colors your tone causes Seonghwa to huff.

“You said it yourself, Shadow.” You wince because of the bite in his tone. “We haven’t gotten a real taste of this world as of yet. What’s a better way to do that than going out with you on one of your expeditions?”

You can’t find any fault in his logic, even though you’re wary about his intentions. So you shrug, giving in to his demand, “Fine, but you’re changing out of your clothes.”

“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” He looks down at his outfit with a frown, a pout pulling at his lips when he doesn’t see anything amiss.

“It’s too colorful,” you supply with a sigh. “You’ll stick out like a sore thumb even if you wear a cloak over it. A sure way to catch the attention of the Android Guardians is to wear a red hoodie over ripped jeans.”

“Oh,” his cheeks and ears turn red from embarrassment. “Right… I’ll stick out like a sore thumb, yes.”

Rolling your eyes, you tell him to follow you. He does so without question or comment, silently trailing after you as you walk back the way you had come. You stop in front of the door next to yours and signal him to wait outside, quickly grabbing an outfit for him and rushing out of the door, for you don’t want to linger too long in the room. Seonghwa looks at you with wide eyes when you hand the dark clothes to him. He bites his lips, glancing at the now closed door and then back at the outfit, probably putting two and two together.

“I would hurry if I were you,” you ignore the unvoiced question swimming in his eyes, not wanting to bring up a topic that would just pull you back into the gloomy thoughts you had locked away for now. “We need to get back here with the supplies before dawn if we don’t want to get caught.”

He nods, almost flying into one of the rooms the boys have occupied. You’re glad that they had stayed away from the rooms that were originally occupied by the Black Pirates. A few seconds after Seonghwa bangs his door shut, another opens, and Jongho’s head peeps out with a frown. You can tell that he was asleep until the loud noise woke him up. You stifle a giggle when he blinks at you blearily, his hair is a mess, and his clothes are askew from sleep.

“Hi,” you wave your hand at him awkwardly when he doesn’t stop staring.

It takes him a moment to gather his bearings, and his eyes widen when he does. You don’t miss the blush on his cheeks as he rubs his eyes before fully stepping into the hallway. “Good morning. Are you going somewhere?”

You nod, “We’re running out of supplies, so I thought it would be a good idea to restock.”

Jongho hums, trying and failing to fix his hair that’s standing up in all directions. There’s a beat of silence, then it morphs into a moment, and then the stifling silence turns uncomfortable. It’s the first time you’ve acknowledged him outside of training after the day you’d brought them here. He had stayed away even after you had finally joined them in the kitchen for breakfast after your run-in with Yunho, choosing not to crowd you. You were thankful for it, as it had allowed you to adjust to the mess you were thrown into, even if you did so reluctantly.

You’re glad when the door to Seonghwa’s room opens, but that feeling quickly gives way to shock when said male steps out with some hesitation.

Maybe giving him those clothes was a mistake. He looks too much like him…

“I… is this really okay?” Seonghwa whispers when he stops in front of you. “I could…”

You shake your head, dispelling the intrusive thoughts that are swirling around in your head. “It’s fine, honestly. I gave these clothes to you. There’s really no point in letting these go to waste now that they’re…Gone.”

Both of them flinch visibly but say nothing. You hand Seonghwa a cloak and mask, which he wears silently. Suddenly, you remember something and turn to the youngest, “How good are you with technology?”

“I’m decent…” he frowns, “not as good as some of the others, though.”

You hum, “It’ll have to do for the moment. Come with me, please.”

You head past the hallways, the two boys following you silently. Opening a door, you usher them in, biting back a smile when their mouths open at the sight in front of them. You give them a moment to appreciate the machines and fire up one of the computers, clicking open a program that allows you to see through the different cameras in the city without alerting the government about it.

Jongho lets out a whistle when he sees the city through the screen, “Wow.”

“This is the path we’ll be taking,” you say, tracing it out for his benefit. “You don’t have to do much. Just keep an eye out for any disturbances around the area so we can steer clear of them on our way there and back. The white dots are Android Guardians while the blue ones are civilians, our own people come up as green, and any other threats are red.”

Jongho settles into the seat and looks back at you, “How do I contact you in case I spot something?”

“Our in-ears are connected, so you shouldn’t have an issue with that,” you explain, handing both the boys a pair each.

“You’ll be safe, right?” He looks at Seonghwa first before his gaze settles on you. The concern in his tone is endearing, and you bite your lips in an attempt to not smile.

“Don’t worry too much. Your hyung is in capable hands. I won’t let anything happen to him.”

“I hope you’re good at acting,” you tell Seonghwa before stepping out of the hideout. “Walk with purpose, back straight and eyes focused straight ahead. Remember, you’re part of the lifeless masses, nothing but a background character. Yeah?”

“I don’t doubt that one bit,” he replies, waving you two off.

Be The Light (Part 3)

“Yeah,” he breathes out, taking a deep breath before schooling his expression.

“I know it might be a little hard to do so, but trust me, okay? And please do as I say, it’s dangerous out there.”

Seonghwa cocks his head to one side, eyes shining with sincerity, “I trust you to keep both of us safe.”

You nod, but your stomach churns at the genuineness of his words. You try not to overthink as you walk through the streets. It’s dark, the only source of light being the street lamps that cast shadows over the monochrome landscape.

“I have a question, though,” he whispers out of the blue. “How did all this happen? I mean… how did Z gain control over the population?”

“No one is sure, but we know it started at the academies. They began by telling us of a breakthrough that would make us better and turn us into perfect humans. The next thing we knew, chips that suppressed our emotions were forcibly installed into us, turning us into lifeless, emotionless beings who did as we were told. I don’t know how it happened, but Hongjoong was able to disable the chip somehow.”

You sit up with a gasp, staring into the eyes of the boy in front of you. He’s hovering above you, hands brushing away your damp hair from your forehead. You’re breathing heavily, fear coursing through your veins when you realize that you’re no longer at the academy. It is a bunker of some sort, the room is bare, but the splash of colors from the little tidbits lying around gives it character. You see reds, greens, and yellows, colors you haven’t seen in so long, having been used to the greys, blues, and blacks at the academy.

“Hey,” the boy whispers, catching your attention yet again. His voice causes an ache to settle deep in your soul as it tries to determine why you feel like you know him from somewhere. “Are you okay?”

Images of nights on a roof, laughter, warm dinners, and sunny days flash across your memory. The flashes are so fast that it’s hard for you to properly distinguish one from the other. But one thing you know for sure is that the boy is there in most of those images, usually with a smile on his face.

You see him shout in glee as he opens what looks like a present, engulfing you in his arms the next moment, tackling both of you into the ground. Words of thanks tumble from his lips, and his voice trembles with an emotion you have forgotten: joy.

You see him barge through the door, two cups of coffee and takeaway in his hands as he reprimands you for neglecting your health for studies. His angry demeanor falters when he hears your laugh.

You see him with his nose buried into a book about multiverses, only looking up when you whine at him about having promised to accompany you to the new restaurant in town, a guilty smile on his face as he jumps up from his chair, telling you to wait for five minutes as he runs around like a headless chicken gathering his keys and wallet before extending his hand out for you to take.

You see him scream, tears falling from his eyes as the two of you are separated by the Android Guardians. You helplessly watch as they install the chip in his ear and feel your heart rip into two when his expression smooths out, and he glances at you with blank eyes that you swear will haunt you forever.

A sob bursts from your lips, lungs screaming for oxygen as you thrash around in his arms.

“You’re okay. It’s okay, I’ve got you.” A warm hand rubs your back, the repetitive motion calming you down bit by bit, “Keep breathing for me, yeah? That’s it, just like that.”

He cradles you close, tucking you in to his chest once your sobs calm down to whimpers, and keeps whispering words of comfort.

“Joong?” You manage to croak out, exhausted from the sudden onslaught of emotions.

“Yeah, it’s me. M’sorry it took me this long to get to you,” he mumbles into your hair, pressing his lips to the top of your head. “I’m not letting you go ever again. You’re safe now, I promise.”

You take a deep breath, blinking away the tears before nudging Seonghwa into a dark and narrow alleyway. “He somehow managed to get me out of the academy. I have no clue how he did that because I’m sure he disabled the chip after he brought me to the bunker.”

“So, the chip… in addition to emotions, it also suppresses memories?”

You nod, “If they let us keep our memories, we would have succumbed to our emotions sooner or later. So in order to keep everyone in check, they just turned us into living, breathing robots.”

“That’s so fucked up.” From the corner of your eye, you see him scrunch his eyebrows, so you nudge him in warning. He mutters an apology before turning to you, “Why would anyone do such a cruel thing?”

“The promise of power makes people do a lot of bad things,” you shrug, halting in front of a dilapidated building. You circle the exterior, stopping momentarily to look around in case anyone is lurking around.

“You’re safe. According to the software, there’s no one in the vicinity,” Jongho’s voice filters in through your earpiece. “There was a set of instructions on a sticky note on the desk, so I followed it to put the feed of the cameras on loop for the next twenty minutes.

“Thank you.”

You take out a metal wire from your pocket, insert it in the crack between two boarded windows and push around until it swings open. You allow Seonghwa to enter first and close it after you step onto the cracked flooring. It’s dark, but you have been here enough times to know your way around. You walk slower than usual, allowing Seonghwa to take his time so that he doesn’t fall and hurt himself. There’s nothing more than dust and debris in the building, and the structure is rarely visited by anyone, so it is the perfect place for you to hide things.

“I thought we were getting supplies?” Seonghwa mutters under his breath.

“We are,” you reply, turning on the flashlight in your watch. “Unlike your world, we don’t have shops here. Supplies are dropped off at academies and workplaces by the government. It’s too dangerous for one of us to go and get items from there. Fortunately, we have some contacts working in transportation who bring as much as they can from various places like the academy and other government buildings and hide it here for us to take. Stay here, the flooring is delicate and can collapse from the slightest of pressures.”

You tread lightly towards the corner of the room, making sure not to step onto one of the floorboards that could give way beneath your feet. You turn back to Seonghwa and point to the top of the dust-covered cabinet, “Can you grab the crowbar that’s on the top?”

He nods, quickly retrieving the said tool and throwing it towards you. You pry open the floorboard, sinking to your knees as you pull out two bags from beneath. With some difficulty, you bring both of them to where Seonghwa is, and he takes one from you, shouldering it wordlessly.

You are about to make your way out when a thud causes you to whirl around, your hand on the pistol as you point the light in the direction the sound came from. You drop the bag at Seonghwa’s feet, carefully making your way further inside to investigate. You let out a sigh of relief when you see that there’s no one around, but you still can’t shake off the feeling of dread.

“Jongho, is anyone else there in the building with us?” You question, looking around for any signs of an intruder.

“There’s no one there except for the two of you,” comes the prompt reply. “The nearest dots are over quite a ways away from you.”

“Could it have been a cat?” Seonghwa whispers, causing you to narrow your eyes at him.

“Do you think you will find a cat in this godforsaken place? You’d be lucky to find an insect here,” you deadpan, sighing through your nose when he shrinks away at your reprimand. “I’m sorry…”

“No, I’m sorry. That was a stupid comment,” he mumbles, shoulders slumping forward as he looks away from you.

“Seonghwa,” you don’t miss how his breath catches in his throat, and the way emotions swim in his eyes when you say his name. “I am genuinely sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. I can’t expect you to know things when you don’t know anything about this place. I’ve been less than welcoming even though you guys were kind enough to leave your world and come here to help me work out this whole mess.”

“Your reaction to us suddenly appearing in your life was valid, and you shouldn’t apologize for feeling the way you were. You lost the people you considered family, and not even a few days later, you found eight other people who looked exactly like them. It is bound to fuck you up in some way,” his voice is soothing, empathy dripping from his words, but you feel an undercurrent of bitterness somewhere in there, which confuses you, to say the least. “You needed time to cope with the loss and process everything which you haven’t got, not truly. We can’t fault you for that, you’ve been trying recently, and that’s all one can ask of you.”

“Honestly, if I were in your place, I’d be in a worse condition.” Jongho’s voice chimes in after Seonghwa falls silent. “On that note, I think you should return soon. It’s close to daybreak, and Android Guardians are starting to patrol the area.”

“We’ll be—” you stop short when you hear a commotion from Jongho’s side. Your heart drops when you hear a shout, “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know, let me check,” he replies. You hear shuffling from his side and a click of a door opening, which causes the sounds to amplify.

“Jongho? Is everything okay?” Seonghwa asks, the two of you frowning at each other when you hear people talking but can’t figure out anything as they’re talking over each other.

“You need to get back here right now,” you’re alarmed when Hongjoong’s panicked voice filters through the device. “The Cromer is gone.”

You meet Seonghwa’s wide eyes that mirror the horror you feel, and in a split second, the two of you are running through the streets to reach the base as soon as possible.

8 Makes 1 Team

She read her patients file walking down the hall , where guards stood at least at each door for safety with pepper sprays and a taser

Y/n just got transferred to Koreas biggest and kind of dangerous psychiatric a week ago because of a job offer , and here she was walking to her first patient of the day

It was quiet as she approached the cell door with the Number 0256 and a yellow sticker on it indicating that it needed to be careful around the patient

She waited for the guard to open the door and walked in seeing a black haired boy laying on the bed covered up till his stomach in green pajamas that had cute dogs on it

He looked peaceful yet she couldn't get fooled by the scene , she knew better than to just fall for the image the patient was giving

Some patients deceived doctors or guards to escape their room

With soft steps being heard he got alarmed and shot his head up and backed up against the wall that was connected together with his bed

The look he gave made her heart ache , it screamed fear even when she tried sitting on the chair she brought as he started distancing himself

" If you come closer I-I'll smash your skull ! "

He shouted at her with furiously and repeatedly hitting his head as if something was telling him to do anything bad against his will

" I mean no harm , I'm actually here to get to know you and help but I want to know your name first so I can talk easily with you "

" Liar ! Y-Your just like everyone else , I don't need your help and I don't want it ! "

He yelled once again , but she didn't flinch or anything that showed signs of being scared

" Listen im the opposite of everyone else here that has been treated you like your not a normal person like everybody else "

Y/n saw him picking at his skin harshly which started bleeding and leaving some cuts

" Make it stop ! Please stop stop ! "

"If you want me to help can I touch you then? "

She extended her hands slowly waiting for him to allow her to clean and bandage his cuts

" Help me p-please make them stop hurting me "

" Can I really help or are you not sure ? "

" Please help me I’m loosing so much blood ! "

“ Dont worry it just a little ”

She grabbed his arm softly before cleaning the cuts with alcohol after giving the boy a warning making him scream in pain and whimper

" Can you tell me your name now ? "

" it's H-H-Hongjoong and thank you "

" No need to thank me , and you have a really nice name do you know what it means ? "

He shook his head and wiped his tears as he looked dumbfounded

" Hong means wide and Joong center "

" What's that supposed to mean "

Hongjoong pulled his hands away when she finished bandaging it up and yelled standing up on his bed

" Your special Hongjoong , your name means to be the center of the wide world "

" But their going to hurt me ! "

" Nobody is going to hurt you as long as I'm here Hongjoong and I'll make sure of it ok ? that's why I'm here for you "

She smiled softly looking as he wandered his eyes around confused

" What d-does y-your name mean ? "

" You know I actually never knew what my name meant before but I promise the next time I visit you I'll tell you what it means ok ? "

" You will just leave like everyone else here or worse hit me if I don't listen "

His voice changed to a monotonous one as he stared at her with a blank face

" They hit you ? What did you do against it ? "

He suddenly teared up again and covered himself under his blankets and started shaking

" I said no touching and the guard hit me on the cheek two times "

" Hongjoong it's ok to say no and let me tell you something , some people just don't understand what no means which is bad "

She softly uncovered his face

" Repeat with me , it is ok to say no "

" It is ok to say no "

He wiped his tears and kept chanting the words over and over again , until her watch started blinking playing star 1117 instrumental version catching his attention

" Looks like our time is over Joongie "

" No ! don't leave me their going to get me please don't leave me here  alone "

He started screaming and hitting his head

" Hongjoong it's alright I'll come back ok ? Now let's tuck you in you must be tired "

She waited for him to lay down and tucked him in softly following with her caressing his soft hair for him to relax

" Promise you'll be back ? "

" I promise you I'll be back "
