The ocean was vast, so much of it yet to be seen. In those spots, you were born. Spending your childhood swimming with fish and admiring the corals. Vibrant and playful, minutes turned to hours as you watched the relationship between fish and plant. Although they're of different worlds they have a connection that benefits both of them. Often this led you to wonder if the same was true for humans and your kind.

Sadly, this would take a lot of healing for your kind. You didn't understand, not when you were that young. The sudden disappearance of town members. Your parents were strict with you, always warning you to stay far from the shore or to quickly get away if you stop a boat. You didn't connect the dots, how could you? But now you understand. It's been years since you placed your feet in your hometown. Leaving was a painful memory.

You rarely dwell on that now though. Currently, you reside in a house in the mountains with a lovely couple and their children. You easily fit in with them. Considering them your parents and siblings. They took you in as one of theirs. They're friends of your parents, but they're not one of you.

Up in the mountains, you have no big bodies of water to swim around in. There was a beautiful view of the ocean though, no longer able to return there created a longing that filled your heart. Things around this town above the water remind you of the time when you were surrounded by sea life.

It was boring being holed up in the house, but you had found ways to entertain yourself. You had become especially skilled in jewelry making, and you also had some former knowledge due to your people being known for talented craftsmanship. In your culture, it was normal to give someone you hold dear to you a piece of jewelry. When you had to go out into town for a trip to the market you would get the necessary items while your sister and brother wander to the shoreline. Once at home, they would display their haul of shells, pearls, beads, sea glass, and much more. Not knowing what to do with these you started making pieces of jewelry with them. More and more people started decorating their plain outfits with necklaces, bracelets, anklets, rings, and headpieces.

This town was now your home, the people of it your family. It was a small community, and you were a crucial member of it. Making sure to help anyone if needed and treat people with respect and kindness.

Soon you had melted the frozen hearts of the elderly citizens. They felt wary of your sudden appearance in their society. But you had proven yourself to be non-lethal and caring on the other hand. Now you're everyone's younger sister.

It was an ordinary day, like all the others. Except for the fact that it had started getting colder. It was always blistering hot, and everyone wore light clothing. It had only stormed when you had just moved. You were constantly overwhelmed with the new language, clothing, people, well everything. Only when you had become comfortable did the harsh weather leave. But now people had stocked up on wood and thick material. You were out getting some bread from the bakery. This bread was delicious, and it always satisfied your family. And you were also close with the owner, an old kind man. In exchange for a little money, you were short on, you made him and his wife matching necklaces. They had significant meaning to each other, and they were the perfect gifts.

Since then, you've been especially close. Him even allowing you inside his kitchen to help you prepare a dessert for your mother. He was like your father, almost everything but his appearance was similar to him.

After leaving the bakery with the bread you have been craving, you reached the treacherous steps to your home. They wound around the hill to get to the doorstep. Luckily the pathway was secluded and had many shrubs and bushes. It was tiring and it drained you to have to go up all those stairs. But you love your home and would do anything for it.

The skies darken, and the clouds rolled overhead. This caused you to rush home. It would start raining soon. Everyone in town wasn't used to storms, they hated them. The thunder scared livestock and animals. The rain washed away valuables. And the temperature always being too cold to go out and sell. But living in the ocean, you had dealt with many storms. The outcome of these resulted in many shipwrecks and mysterious items sinking.

So even though you were rushing home you also stopped to take in the scenery. Waves of nostalgia flow over you as the rain slowly get heavier and heavier. As the droplets graced your face your gills start to appear, as well as your webbed fingers and flared ears. The scales on your body were shimmery. By the time you reached your porch, it was obvious you were otherworldly.

Before your family used to be afraid of this form. But as they slowly saw your walls rust down, you were just a little kid. Your eyes contained the childlike glee in them as you found out what a music box was.

So, when you showed up at your front door, looking very whimsical. No one bat an eye; they had grown to love this side of you. They knew that after you had come to live with them you have no more ties to your culture. There was no one there to help you continue to practice your culture. They tried their best to hold traditions, and holidays that you normally would under the water. It warmed your heart, how dedicated they were to making you feel comfortable and safe with them.

Quickly you placed the bag containing bread on the table. Rushing around the house you put your coat, shoes, bag, sweater, and jewelry down.

Turning the corner, you almost run into your father. He's adorning your hand-crafted delights. He has a smile on his face as your eyes lock onto each other.

Both of you exchange a silent conversation and you part ways. Heading to your room. It's the most isolated one, everyone agreed you deserved it. The door was worn, bearing scratch marks on the inside. Rather than a bed you slept in a hammock. It was just easier to sleep in it than on a firm mattress.

At your desk, there were about eight unfinished pieces, each one uniquely different than the last. You liked to think that each piece had its special personality that suited the person it was with. Although you had yet to meet people in the village that would be a match for your unfinished pieces. They continue to lay in the corner, awaiting their soulmates. As you were, simply waiting for your soulmate as well. These unfinished works and you had quite a lot in common. You are both incomplete, and uncertain of what it is that your heart aches and longs for. Both were made up from the depths of the sea, plucked out by the hands of humans. Although, this created a beautiful situation.

To your people, there is someone out there, destined to find you, love you, and care for you. Due to not traveling a bunch of them had never met their soulmates. The whole idea of this kept your mind spinning at night. The part that intrigued you the most was when you would meet them. Your parents couldn't put the emotions into words. Often saying 'you'll know' frustrated you but, could it truly be like that? How could you know? What if you end up meeting them but don't know it? What if they walk away?

Thoughts plague your mind as the drowsiness of being up all morning washes over you. As you settle in your hammock you look up through the glass ceiling to admire the stars. They comfort you, being there with you through everything. Never judging nor leaving.

Slowly your eyes close and you've drifted away. But on this particular night, it was different, you had no dream. Usually, you would have either a dream or a nightmare. But it was blank, just darkness till you awoke. And that was the start of an abnormal day.

% ! Pearl ] 1. Water Droplets

Your eyes open attempting to adjust to the brightness. Getting up and hearing a few pops come from your joints. Drawing closer to the window you can hear the crashing of waves. Looking out you can see a large ship in the distance. It has three letters adorning the sail, "ATZ" racking your brain you come up with nothing. Who could this be? With that, you got dressed for the day. The clouds were dark grey, so there was a large chance of rain. Meaning you had to take a large scarf with you, in case. Although it's not like there were many townsfolk outside right now.

Going out to visit the sea. You had been planning this trip for a while. And this whole situation was the perfect chance to do so. Underneath your large jacket was thin clothing and your pearls, it was easier this way, it'd be too much trouble to have to take off heavy layers.

You took your secret path, it led to a secluded area of the beach. Then you could sit and wallow, only leaving you and the breeze. Taking off your shirt you were left in thin pants, and you folded them up to your knees. You lay on your stomach, pressing your chest down into the sand. You were just watching and reminiscing about what once was. Thinking back to all memories you had in this very ocean. As the waves drew back and returned there was a shimmer that caught your attention. As it got closer it looked as if the sea was gifting you this shell. It landed right in front of you, the cold waves petting your collarbones. Picking it up and inspecting it you were content. Placing this shell in the pocket of your coat. After a few minutes, you get up and stretch out your limbs. As you're doing this you hear a gasp come from behind you. You become frozen, looking down at your front, your chest, and stomach are littered with multi-colored scales. Making sure to only turn your head, you see a man around your age. He's staring at your bare back, eyes burning into your back. He has pink hair, and his lips are a beautiful shade of maroon. As your eyes catch your breath hitches, it feels like you can't pull away, even with your distance you feel like you're right beside him. Before he can get any closer you quickly slip the shirt over you and coat tightly around your shoulders and run away.

Drowning out his shouts you run as fast as you can. Not even turning to see if he's behind you. But you don't hear any footsteps, so you decide that he isn't. After getting in your house, you rush to your room. Fitting your hammock, you lay down and try to calm your racing heart. There were so many questions that you had. But the most important one for you was, "how had this man found out about this area?" You were sure that no one in town knew about this. Although you had never seen this man in your life. And it was a small village.

Inhaling and exhaling slowly helped to calm yourself. Then you remember the shell you had found. Fishing it out of your pocket you held it close to your face.

It looked very delicate but also durable. This was now your inspiration, getting up and sitting at your desk you find one of your unfinished pieces and get to work. This was taking all night, but you had a vision. You gathered the beads and wire, twisting, turning, bending, and burning.

You had carved your initials into the shell before looking at the finished work. This necklace was eye-catching and charming. Now, the only issue was finding out who would be right for this necklace. Everyone in this town already had at least three gifts from you. And it just didn't call out to any of them. Sighing, you get up and feel your back aching from the posture you were in for the past hour. The moon had already come up to greet you. Freeing yourself of your clothing, you settle for more comfortable garments.

Once again laying in your hammock, you are struck with an unknown emotion. Butterflies wander around your stomach and your chest feels tight. But it's nothing bad.

Excited, you feel excited for tomorrow, but you're clueless as to why you feel this way. Or what you feel this way for. Nonetheless, you drift off to sleep. You do have a dream tonight. The pink-haired man makes an appearance.

Both of you meet each other at the beach. But this time he runs towards you and pulls you in for a hug before kissing your cheek. You smile and you two start speaking, almost as if you've known him since the dawn of time. Not feeling out of place, it feels like you're right at home. But after the sun sets, he gets up, he must leave you. A pull in your heart causes your gut to drop. The smile you once had is gone.

Sitting there, you are left alone. What a funny turn of events, this time it's him that running from you. Eyes watching his back, his figure gets smaller and smaller, then you're no longer able to make him out in the night. Just as you get up the dream fades away. When you sit up a warmness fills your cheeks. You had just encountered. this man, yet you had intimate dreams of him.

Placing your hands on your cheeks, you try to cool them.

After docking themselves here the one thing that caught the Captain's eye was the extravagant jewels everyone was wearing. They had stopped to stock up on supplies and rest for a bit. After all, being at sea constantly was tiring. But at the few open shops, none of them were selling jewelry. He had asked a local about it. Getting a mysterious response. He went searching in hopes to find this woman who would assign him a unique work, that she had taken the time to handcraft.

After three days he was getting frustrated. Going off your appearance only was hard. Everyone in this town had looked a little like that. But one day he had seen someone with your description. It was getting late, and only the lanterns at each block were illuminating the streets. She had a basket with her. The contents being unknown to him. So, as he walked up and introduced himself you were quiet. Limiting your sentences, being on guard. He had relayed what the townsfolk had told him about your art pieces and you. He watched as you were hesitant to do something. He saw you dig through the basket and pull out a necklace. It was perfect. Pulling out his satchel of coins he tries to pay you. But you shake your head. Denying his money.

Stepping closer to him you place the necklace over his head. Looking him over once more you are completely sure that this is his. He watches your face, a smile graces your lips, and it reaches your eyes as well. He once again attempts to pay you. But you step back, creating a good distance between you two. You turn away from him and slowly begin to leave. Before you run off to who knows where he sees you stop in your tracks and turn to face him. He swears no one has ever been so beautiful under streetlamps. The light caught your features, it framed your face. It seemed as if your eyes softened.

"I don't do this for money, it belongs to you. It always belonged to you." As your figure slips away into the darkness, his smile widens. He's left there in the streets grinning like a drunken fool.

Quite A Fall | Jongho

Y/N loved her friends and couldn't live without them.

But the moment it was decided that San and Mingi would go with her to fulfill the bet, she began to wonder why she had accepted it.

And why she still called Wooyoung a friend, since the idea of the two most fearful guys in the group would go with her to the haunted mansion in the amusement park they were at was his.

The amusement park was for the whole family until the sun began to set, at night it was taken over by actors dressed as monsters.

But it wasn't just any monsters, it was Egypt themed. And the mummies were more terrifying than the 90s movie.

And what was the bet? The least brave three had lost at Rock Paper Scissors, and would have to enter the haunted mansion. While the others were outside recording.

However, they were one floor below the mansion because they had gone on the Viking boat earlier, which made her practically lose her voice since besides being afraid of monsters and anything involving horror, she was also afraid of heights.

Y/N grabbed San's arm on one side while the other pushed Mingi to go ahead, the three of them stared at the flight of stairs as it got bigger and bigger.

It wasn't just because the mansion was close but because one of the monsters was at the top of the stairs, scaring anyone who passed by.

"Stop being cowards!" Hongjoong yelled, clearly amused that he wasn't chosen.

"Complain again and you go along with us!" Y/N shouted, turning to face him angrily and saw the boys laughing at him, who raised his hands in surrender and stayed quiet.

"You guys know this is a really bad idea, right?" San spoke, cowering next to Y/N, he gripped her hand tightly as she held onto his arm.

"It's Mingi's fault!" she complained and the taller one stopped, looking at her in disbelief.

"How could I guess?" he asked, trying to hide behind Y/N. "Stop pushing me!"

"You're the tallest, you have to go first!" she said, trying to push him back. "And you bet with Wooyoung, it's obvious he was serious."

"I thought he was talking about the roller coaster." he defended himself.

The bet was simple: with the opening of the park, they divided into groups of three and whoever arrived late would have to face one of their fears, as well as pay for snacks. San, Mingi, Y/N, Yeosang, Yunho and Wooyoung arrived late. And it all came down to rock, paper, scissors.

Mingi was confident to compete against Yunho... and ended up losing.

The three went on high rides and paid for everyone's snacks, until Wooyoung remembered that it was the opening night of the mansion and that the three of them would have to go.

And there the three of them were, afraid to go up the stairs.

For Y/N, she had the perfect plan, she would hide behind Mingi and San, since one was taller than her and the other was stronger, very easy, she wouldn't even need to lift her head to look inside the mansion, all she had to do was stick her face in one of their shirts.

She had just forgotten that they were both as scared as she was.

After several long minutes and the rest of the group shouting that they had to go soon before the park closed, which would happen in two hours, they made it to the halfway point of the stairs.

Y/N didn't even remember her plan anymore, somehow she was leading the way, with San clutching her hand and Mingi on her side climbing slower than her. His legs were longer and yet he was behind.

"No!" San complained as she climbed another step, never taking her eyes off the monster.

"I think it's okay to pass." she replied when she saw the monster turn its back to scare a couple passing by. "He's busy."

Suddenly everything looked like a blur.

Y/N made a move to take a step forward while San and Mingi were behind her very fearful, the monster turned and faced the three. For two long seconds they stared at each other without doing anything and then the monster screamed and pretended to go to them, just projecting its body forward.

It was enough for the three of them to scream and try to run down the stairs. Just try.

Because Mingi went ahead, as he was strategically walking up the stairs slowly, San let go of Y/N's hand and in that half second their bodies blocked her field of vision. Y/N tried to go down at the same speed as San and Mingi but she was already late and her foot didn't settle on the step of the stairs.

With the fright and the vision a little blurred for having turned so fast, her strength was lost and she twisted her foot in a clumsy way and she rolled about three steps.

When she realized what had happened, at the exact moment she heard her name being called, she felt an unbearable pain in her ankle.

She took her hand to the place that seemed to be burning and a sob escaped, she didn't even realize she was crying until she noticed that her friends were running to her.

"Are you ok?" San asked worriedly and held his hand out to her.

But Y/N couldn't speak so she just shook her head.

"Y/N, get up." Mingi spoke and she sobbed again.

"I can't." she complained quietly, feeling her ankle go rigid and in her head there was only one thing going on.

That she had broken her foot.

San bent down to face her better and soon the rest of the group surrounded her.

"Y/N, what happened?" Seonghwa asked.

"I think I broke my foot." she replied between sobs and tried to look at the boys but because of the pain, she couldn't see who was in front of her. "And I think I ripped my pants."

A chorus of low chuckles was heard and she almost laughed.

"Yah, this is not the time to be joking." Wooyoung spoke.

"Can you get up?" Hongjoong asked and she even tried to support her injured palms on the floor but her legs were clearly weak from the fright and the fall.

"No." she replied weakly.

"Isn't it good to call some professional who works here and-" Yeosang's voice gradually faded as Jongho knelt beside her

"I'll carry you, okay?" he asked gently and Y/N nodded, wiping her face.

He put his arm around her knees carefully and the other went around her back, as he lifted her off the ground in his arms, Y/N felt her ankle hurt even more but her face burned not only from the pain but because Jongho was too close.

His breath was so close to her face and he carried her as if she were a feather.

If before her heart was racing because of the fright, now she doesn't even remember the monster.

Jongho took her to a concrete part that covered the root of a tree, she sat down and was now at his height.

"Is anyone going to do anything?" he questioned, looking seriously at his friends.

Yunho and Yeosang volunteered and ran in search of someone to help.

"Can you move your foot?" Hongjoong asked and bent down to help Y/N move.

She even tried but the pain was still intense.

"Ouch no, wait a minute." she screwed up her face and he stopped, looking worried.

"You're going to have to go to the hospital." Seonghwa concluded, crossing her arms and Y/N whined.

"Oh come on!' she snorted and now with her face dry, her eyes partially wet, she could face her friends properly.

"If I were you, I wouldn't argue." Wooyoung spoke and Y/N crossed her arms.

"You know how they put the bone back together? It hurts like hell!"

"Yeah, but it's not like you have a choice if you really broke your foot." San replied.

Y/N was going to look at Mingi but Jongho entered her field of vision, taking off the sweatshirt he was wearing and approached her to tie it around her waist.

Y/N kept her arms crossed but stared at Jongho's face in surprise, everyone was silent and he looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"You really ripped your pants." he explained, nodding towards Y/N and she felt her face heat up once more.

She brought her hand to her cheek slowly so as not to show that she was blushing because of it but seeing Wooyoung staring with a raised eyebrow, she knew it wasn't that subtle.

"Oh no!" she complained when she saw Yunho and Yeosang coming back, what really caught her attention was the ambulance coming after the two.

Wooyoung tried to contain his laughter when he saw the vehicle and was slapped by Seonghwa.

Y/N stared at the ambulance in disbelief that this was actually happening to her.

"I'm not going to ride that thing." she spoke softly and thought no one would hear but Jongho turned to her with a defiant face.

"Why the ambulance?" Hongjoong asked his friends.

"It'll be better to take Y/N to the hospital near here" Yunho explained as the paramedics got out of the ambulance.

"Did you know that there is assistance here at the park?" Yeosang asked, excited by the news. "Apparently that has happened a lot here."

"Come on, Y/N." Jongho approached and she looked pleadingly at him.

"Please."

"You don't want to argue with me now, do you?" he asked seriously and she was quiet.

She took a deep breath, giving up.

"Will you need a wheelchair?" one of the paramedics asked.

Y/N widened her eyes. Oh no, that would be too much for her.

"No!" she replied loudly, and threw her arm around Jongho's shoulder.

She had already been through enough humiliation that day.

She heard Jongho laugh softly as he carried her in his arms again and she glared at him, curious to know what he was laughing at but he didn't seem to want to share it now, and walked towards the ambulance without looking like she was making an effort.

He helped her into the vehicle.

"I refuse to lie on this stretcher, I didn't die!" she said when one of the paramedics indicated the gurney. "I'll sit here." she pointed to the upholstery beside her and the paramedic nodded.

"Will someone accompany you in the ambulance?" he asked, looking at the group of friends.

"I go!" Jongho volunteered first and looked at his friends. "I'll walk her into the hospital."

"We'll get the cars and we'll follow." Hongjoong spoke and the two nodded.

Jongho climbed into the ambulance and sat next to Y/N and the paramedic closed the doors, leaving the two alone in the back.

She took a deep breath and saw Jongho staring at her.

"All good?"

"It's all that stupid monster's fault!" She denied with her head. "Who scares people on the stairs?!"

He smiled discreetly.

"Not the smartest thing I've seen anyone do."

Y/N laughed.

"I bet Wooyoung recorded it, didn't he." she spoke and Jongho bit his lip, something that didn't go unnoticed by her.

"It was quite a fall."

Y/N shook her head and laughed, being followed by Jongho.

The scare was over, even if she was still in pain, she had to admit that it must have been a very funny scene that she would laugh about later.

When she had to rest for who knows how many days.

"You know what that means, right? I'm going to have to keep my foot still for days!"

"Hey, think on the bright side." Jongho pushed his shoulder against Y/N's and she glared at him with a raised eyebrow. "You got 8 slaves and if I were you I would charge Mingi even more because he left you behind on purpose."

"I knew it!' she said, slapping a hand on her thigh and reminded herself that his sweatshirt was tucked around her waist, "Aren't you cold?"

"No, I'm fine." he raised his hand in assurance and she smiled appreciatively.

"Thanks for what you did." she said and brought her face closer to kiss Jongho's soft cheek.

However, he turned his face at the same time and their lips ended up touching lightly.

The two stared at each other in surprise and once again that night, her cheeks burned because of him, shyly she looked away to anywhere in the ambulance. But Jongho brought his hand to her cheek and brought her closer, bringing their lips together again in a quick, soft kiss.

When he pulled away, his hand caressed her cheek and pressed their foreheads together.

"You really worried me."

"Well, looks like it was worth it."

College student!Mingi x Barista!Reader (ft, Yunho)

This earworm was in my head while doing this

Warning: Hanahaki disease au, angst, blood, sick reader, character death, panic attacks, dark

It was a routine day of working at the coffee shop, aching feet and an aching back made you wish that you could book a massage but your finances stared you in the face with a menacing grin.

So you had to tough it out and give the customers your best service with a smile to make their day a little better.

"Thank you! Have a great day!" You smiled cheerily at the last customer that you served. You turned to the next one and nearly fainted when you looked into his face as he towered above you from his side of the counter.

"You're new here!" You quipped and immediately wanted to slap yourself for it, this man was tall and handsome. His bright smile blinding you from the discomfort of the day.

"Yeah, it looks very comfy here." His voice was low and deep, adding to his attractiveness exponentially.

"Yeah, uh what can I get for you?" You asked dizzily, trying not to stare at his gorgeous face as you patted down your barista apron.

"I would like... An iced americano. Two of them, so that I can get to know you better as a returning customer. I'm Mingi by the way." The brightly hued haired male smiled at you again and you immediately turned to get to work on serving the coffee.

"But what if you don't like it here?" You ask softly as you prepared the coffee."Oh I know I will~" Mingi replied confidently with the same radiant smile as before.

You felt bad that he ordered a coffee for you but you wanted to be polite so you accepted it. Seating yourself in a booth across from the giant male.

"I didn't catch your name." Mingi pointed out as he took a drink of his coffee. Your face reddened from embarrassment.

"I'm eh... I'm Y/N..." You plaster on a smile and glanced around the cafe to ensure that there weren't any customers waiting at the moment for you and neither your boss spying you playing hookie on the job.

"Y/N..." Mingi tried your name on his tongue and gave a shy smile that warmed your heart."I'm glad to meet you, Y/N. Your coffee is really good~"

He nodded with a genuine smile and it was your turn to get shy.

"Thank you, Mingi. So what are you up to here?" You ask as you drink on your own beverage.

"Oh, I transferred to another college to finish my semester." Mingi nodded and you chewed at the end of your straw a little.

"Ah, so that's why I haven't seen you before- oh sorry, I have some customers to take care of!" You apologize profusely and stand up after a group of college students breezed into the cafe.

"That's okay, I'll see you next time, Y/N." Mingi replied with a comforting smile that brought another warm feeling bubbling up inside of you that was so foreign but it was welcome nonetheless.

You took care of the the new customers orders efficiently and turned to find Mingi, only to find that he must have left during the time your customers made their transactions.

Disappointment settled within your gut as you went about your work. You had only chatted with him briefly and scarcely got to know him but it already felt like an emptiness within your chest without seeing his gummy smile.

Mentally you told yourself to snap out of it as you chugged down the remainder of your Americano. Going about your work while replaying the interaction with Mingi in the back of your mind.

The following day you saw him again and you felt happiness blossom within yourself again as soon as his hearty laugh and bright smile radiated your senses.

"Hello Mingi~ What can I get for you today?" You failed to restrain your enthusiasm as you faced the tall male.

"I would like the same as before~" Mingi hummed warmly and further set you at ease.

"Americano?" You tilt your head curiously and wait for his reply."Yeah, two of them~ I need someone to drink it with me~" He replied cheerfully while his low voice seemed to sooth your misgivings about taking a moment from work, even though you knew it wouldn't last.

"Alright Mingi, two iced Americanos coming right up!" You chirp enthusiastically and make the coffees, still feeling guilty about him buying you a coffee but he insisted on it stubbornly.

"How has your day been?" You ask after you serve the coffee, seating yourself across from the attractive male again.

"Okay. But better now that someone familiar and friendly is keeping me company~" Mingi smiled warmly and fidgeted with the straw of his beverage.

You gave a warm smile and watched him attentively, feeling comfortable with his company.

"It isn't too hard adjusting to the new environment, but um it's still hard. You're the first friend I've made here." Mingi flashed you another smile and butterflies stirred in your stomach against your will.

"Me? A friend?" You were surprised by him already claiming you as a friend and your heart warmed to hear him admit it.

"I can tell by the way that you serve coffee that you can be trusted." Mingi chuckled heartily as you looked at him with a deadpan expression.

"Is it your scheme to get free coffee?" You joke softly and notice a tint of color blooming on his cheeks.

"Oh, ah no, no no!" Mingi replied hurriedly while visibly flustered by your words.You grin at him. Satisfied by his reaction before noticing his air turn confident.

"Is it working~?" He grins and takes another drink of his coffee. "I couldn't possibly accept free coffee." He giggles and you open your mouth to reply in return, only for someone to interrupt by walking into the cafe.

"I'll be seeing ya~" Mingi smiles at you as you hastily stood to wait on the customer. The words resonated in your mind like a comforting warm breeze.

You already liked him, but he was only here to make friends with you and technically you were only here to serve him coffee. Your eyes wistfully trailed over to the booth that the two of you occupied earlier, only to find it empty.

'Maybe tomorrow I can see him again' A soft voice whispered in your head as hopefulness surged through you. You found his presence addicting and mildly resented yourself for it since most likely in time he would be moving on back to where he had came from.

In fact you had saw him everyday for two months straight and you loved every moment of talking with him.

How his contagious smile lit up your day with little effort and how he always had a way to make you laugh in one way or another. But when he left, you felt as if the warmth inside of you followed.

~~~~~~
You were smiling today and feeling giddy, glancing at the small gift of a 'I get the final word during Finals' coffee mug and ensuring that the note was still inside.
You were so nervous today, having nearly dropped a few cups of coffee before they reached their rightful owners hands because of your anxiousness.
'What if he poured coffee in the mug and didn't see the paper? What if he's not looking to date because of it being a distraction? What if he doesn't like m-' You were interrupted by the swinging of the cafe's door.
You smiled at the incoming customer, but instantly bewilderment followed when you saw tall, dark haired male standing before you and right beside him was Mingi holding his hand.
Something tickled at your throat and you coughed into your sleeve. Quickly you regained your composure and smiled at Mingi and the person that he was holding hands with.
"Good morning Mingi! What would you like today?" You smiled warmly and ignored the light scratching sensation at the back of your throat.
"Two iced Americanos please! I... um, I wanted to introduce you to my boyfriend!" Mingi was absolutely beaming at you with a radiance that sliced through your heart sharper than a razor blade.
"Hi, Y/N! I hope it's okay to address you as such! I'm Yunho, I attend the same arts class as him everyday and I'm so happy I do!" Yunho smiled enthusiastically at you and you nodded politely with the most strained fake smile that you had ever had to endure as you prepared the coffees.
"He never shuts up about you and your coffee, I feel a littllllle bit jealous that you met him before I did!" Yunho teased while Mingi looked down shyly.
"Oh it's perfectly fine! I'm so happy for you both!" You were sobbing beneath a smile as you gave Mingi his order.
You could barely breathe as they walked away to the booth where you and Mingi used to sit, talk and laugh.
The Americano that Yunho had would have been yours but you had no place with Mingi anymore in the way that you had grown to feel for him.
Blindly you went through the motions of making more coffee for the customers that were coming and going frequently throughout your workday. Through your peripheral vision you could see them argue with each other in a way that made you feel even more hurt.
You could see that Mingi was in love and it wasn't you that he felt so strongly for. Sadness shrouded you in a stifling blanket and choked the light from you as you worked. Your eyes dropped to your sleeve that you had coughed into earlier and your brows furrowed at what you saw.
A single large yellow petal decorated the sweater that you wore and baffled you as to where it came from.
Another cough wracked you and made you think that possibly you were sick. It felt likely to you that it could have been the case since it had been a stressful week and your entire world was shattered today to the point that you could barely keep the stinging, threatening tears at bay.
You numbly went through the transaction of your most recent customer, barely remembering that it even happened as another cough aggressively clawed it's way to your throat.
Yunho and Mingi were about to leave and you suddenly remembered something. Quickly you picked up the coffee cup that you had gotten for Mingi, tossing the piece of paper into the trash that you had written on with the intention of asking him on a date.
Quickly you approached Mingi, struggling to keep the coughing sensation restrained as you handed him the coffee cup with a sweet smile.
Mingi looked at you in confusion, taking the cup from your shaking hands while Yunho looked between You and Mingi with an expression that registered that he wasn't getting the situation.
"It's just a gift to wish you luck!" You clarify immediately with a hoarse voice. You felt thankful when another customer came in so that Mingi couldn't question if you were alright.
Once you were finally to yourself you began to cry bitterly. Wailing forlornly as high pitched hiccups wracked your body.
It was only a few minutes a day that you met up with him but you still couldn't figure out why you felt so devastated. You were only a barista who served coffee to him and nothing more.
A wave of nausea struck and you quickly turned to the waste basket where you had thrown the note in amongst used coffee grounds and coffee filters.
You wretched painfully and worried that your boss would come out to see what was wrong during the ruckus that you caused. Sobs mingled with your vomiting and a choking obstruction escaped the confines of your throat and into the waste basket.
Tears clouded your vision as you opened your eyes again finally, heaving to catch your breath when your eyes spied the unmistakable littering of yellow flower petals on the note you had wrote for Mingi.
"No!" You cried out as you wiped the drool from your face, denying the reality of the wet petals that you had just coughed up.
Fear wrapped it's talons around your throat and cut off your breathing, the racing of your thoughts seeming to go on forever as you stared down at the petals.
You coughed again, feeling a sense of sadness well up in your gut as you asked yourself why. Why did you have to fall in love with him? Why couldn't you have protected your heart? Why? Why? Why???
You slammed your fists down and uttered an animalistic sound akin to being wounded before looking up in embarrassment at the regular customer who was peeking over the counter at you.
"Are you okay, Y/N?"
~~~~~

It was the second week of watching Mingi come to the cafe with Yunho, ordering their usual and making you feel wholly left out of their little world together.

You smiled at them when they would look in your direction, feeling every bit as fake as the hydrogenated oil in the coffee creamer that was occasionally requested at the cafe.

Paleness had overtaken your skin and darkness covered the delicate skin beneath your eyes, a masterpiece that screamed out how tired you were.

Midnights were some of the worst time for you, the stems of the flowers that bloomed inside of you had a hold on your heart and caused your organ to fight it.

The thoughts that riddled your mind in the night only allowed the flowers to take stronger hold and make your body their natural habitat as your body's natural defenses attempted to get the offending flora out of your system in the best way it knew how.

Coughing and wretching your brains out until everything physically hurt but still failed to overtake the hell in your heart.

"Y/N? Are you okay? You seem a little off..." Mingi snapped you out of your spaced out daze, his eyes looking as though he genuinely cared about you and it caused another wave of nausea to ripple through you.

"Yeah- just... need the restroom!" You croaked hoarsely and stumbled off to the bathroom, barely making it to the toilet in time to heave out the contents that were the by product of the love that you gained for Mingi.

"Oh my fuck-" You cried hoarsely as you saw the contents in the toilet bowl floating about mockingly, a pink sea that was a eerie backdrop for the whole sunflower that you wretched up and out of your body.

"A whole fucking sunflower-" You cried hysterically and almost failed to hear Mingi coming to check on you.

"Y/N? Are you sick?" The giant male called out in a cautious tone.

Frantically you flushed down the flower and blood, wiping your mouth of the blood stains left behind.

"Yeah I'm- I'm sick..." You murmured sheepishly.

You felt that you could say that much about your unique situation. There was no use in lying about it but there was no reason for him to know why.

You stood at the door of the stall that you were just in and felt regret that you had even told him that you were sick. Because now he was looking at you with puppy dog eyes that made the stems around your heart even more tangled just like your feelings.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. Is there anyway that I can help? You should take some time off... You look exhausted." Mingi hummed thoughtfully and you nodded, your throat too raw to even utter a word.

"I will... Thank you, Mingi." You croak and smile at him politely before going off to clock out of work early. You needed to get away from him before you spewed out another flower and would have to come up with with some kind of an explanation for it.

~~~~~~~
More days went by and your condition only worsened. You didn't feel that you would be around much longer but you didn't want to be without a roof over your head when you died, so you went back to work.
The first few days you saw neither Mingi or Yunho and you felt yourself missing their presence. Also you were finding it even more difficult to restrain your coughs but stubbornness fueled you despite the fatigue that cloaked you like a blanket of death's design.
Your heart hurt, your ribs hurt as well as your throat and sustenance rarely stayed down at this point.
~~~~~

Then it happened.

You had just weakly given one of your regulars their order. The excruciating pain in your chest made it difficult to breathe.

It was all more than your body could take as you fell on the vinyl floor, blindly coughing through tears and wretching out yellow petals and what ironically looked like coffee grounds mingled with the mass that spilled onto the floor.

A lazed smile graced your features as you struggled to breathe. The stems having taken hold of your lungs just like love had taken hold of you and wrecked you in all manner.

His face was all you could see, his laugh and voice was all that you heard, and the way that he cared about your wellbeing was all that you could see.

"Y/N?! What the fuck happened Y/N?!" A deep familiar voice sounded alarmed but you weren't sure if you were imagining it as two arms embraced you and tugged you into what felt like a lap but you wasn't sure if you were just imagining it as you slowly slipped away.

Tears filled your eyes as you gazed at the fiery haired male, hallucination or not you were thankful for something to comfort you as your heartbeat faded away.

"What can I do!?" Mingi was distressed as you looked at him through glassy eyes, panic had gripped him and he was horrified to find you in such a deteriorated state.

Tears filled his eyes as you blindly reached out to touch his lips.

"T-the sunflower... My s-sunflower always..." You choke out in a scratchy, nearly inaudible voice as you smiled genuinely for one last time and broke his own heart.

Your emaciated frame went limp in his arms as your throat became obstructed by a cluster of blooms.

Mingi began to cry as the shock settled through him. Wondering if he was the reason. You did say that he was your sunflower? Was he the reason that you died?

Mingi began to yell out to anyone, not aware of anything that he said or did as he gazed down at your lifeless body in shock.

you found a stranger in the woods during a storm, not yet knowing that it seemingly change your life.

CHAPTER ONE The Stranger In The Woods

IT WAS RAINING THE DAY YOU CAME ACROSS THE STRANGER. the storm had been raging on for what felt like hours now, and you were surprised to see that the large gusts of winds and rain hadn’t blown you away yet.

but the storm was the least of your worries as you found the stranger, heavily injured and now thanks to the rain, covered in mud and leaves. he looked like he was on the verge of death and you noticed the burn marks here and there on his body. you felt your hands throb underneath their bandages as you remember how it felt to be burned by fire – or firebenders.

was he attacked by firebenders? was what ran through your head as you picked him up, throwing his arm over your shoulder as you hurried as fast as you could back to your grandmother’s house.

your grandmother was surprised when you busted through the door with the stranger, and she immediately had you lay him down in order to patch his wounds up. you hadn’t noticed it when you picked him up, now that you were out of the storm, you took in his vibrant blue arrow tattoos that covered his body.

was he an airbender? you had only heard stories of how the airbenders would gain those tattoos after mastering their element. you figured only older air nomads had those arrow tattoos, but you’re glad to see your assumption proven wrong. you also couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the stranger was.

he was probably the most beautiful man you had ever seen in your life. not even the village’s most handsome could match against this stranger.

“he should be fine now, thankfully his injuries weren’t too bad,” your grandmother says and you let out a sigh you hadn’t known to have been holding. after that, your grandmother scolded you to go change your clothes, not fully noticing how you were still soaked to the bone. your mind is only concerned about the stranger.

“do you think he was attacked by firebenders?” you asked your grandmother after you had changed your clothes. the older woman is silent for a moment as she stirs the soup she had been previously making before you stormed inside the door.

“his injuries sure do seem like that’s what happened,” she replies, but you can sense the dread that takes over her body. she really didn’t want that to be the case. recently, you had overheard several of the men in the village talk about how the fire nation has been seen all over the earth kingdom.

everyone felt tense about it, and rightfully so. the fire nation was a powerful nation with their military and obviously also thanks to their bending powers. fire. some would consider fire to be the most powerful element, but others would argue and say it was the most destructive.

you would have to agree with fire being the most destructive element. only because you’ve only seen people use it for destruction.

“i heard some men in the village say they’re worried about the fire nation. some travelers are talking about how they are planning to start a war with the other nations,” you say as you fumble with one of her many nick-nacks that sat on the table.

it all felt weird and something uneasy sat in your stomach at how this was all going. your eyes drifted over to the stranger who laid peacefully in bed.

“i’m not sure, dear, many things happen in this world without reason or explanation and sometimes we just have to accept those things. if the fire nation starts a war, the other nations can only do what they can to either stop it or fight back.”

her words settled on your mind for the rest of the night, even as you ate and went to bed. the stranger was still unconscious and the storm still savagely raged on. you remember your grandmother mumbling about how the spirits must be upset about something for the storm to be this harsh.

WHEN YOU WAKE UP THE NEXT MORNING, you find the stranger trying his best to make it to the door. you let out a gasp at the sight of him limping towards the door.

“hey, you can’t go out! you’re still injured!” you say doing your best to stop him from leaving. the stranger, despite his injuries, is surprisingly much stronger than he seems. he easily blows a gust of air at you, knocking you down as he reaches for and opens the door. you let out a huff as you move and manage to grab his ankle, stopping him from moving.

“let go! i have to go find moni!” he hisses out trying to pry your hand away from his leg.

“no! you’re still injured! you need to rest before you hurt yourself even more,” you bite back before pulling on the stranger’s ankle and making him stumble back.

the stranger falls back, landing on your body and you both let out a groan and you hear footsteps coming from somewhere else in the house, that you can only assume it's your grandmother.

“what on earth are you two doing?” she asks, coming into the room and is surprised to see the stranger collapsed on top of you.

“he was trying to leave, granny! i was just… ugh, trying to stop him. hey, will you… please get off me! you’re kind of heavy,” you say and you feel the stranger shift before he manages to roll off of you and you are quick to stand up.

“i need to leave! i have to go find moni before those fire bastards find him!” the stranger says and it only confirms the fact that he was attacked by firebenders.

“boy, you are in no shape to be looking for your friend. you need to rest,” your grandmother says as she helps him up and makes him sit back on the bed. “if it makes you feel better, my granddaughter will go search for him.”

you look at your grandmother in shock. surprised that she would volunteer for you to search for this stranger’s friend.

“that’s very kind of you, but i would rather look for him. i know he’s probably very scared right now especially thanks to the storm that was going on last night,” the stranger says as he once more stands up. he lets out a small grunt as he stands, but tries his best to hide it.

“then let her go with you. my granddaughter is very familiar with these woods and will help you find your friend faster,” she says and the stranger looks from her to you before down at the floor. its obvious he’s considering it, thinking it over before he lets out a small sigh. its clear your grandmother will not let him go out by himself, adamant on you going with this stranger.

“fine, if you are insistenting then i guess i could use the help,” he says and your grandmother smiles at him before she turns to pack your bag for you to take.

“yeosang,” the stranger says as he watches your grandmother pack the bag. you look at the man with a confused look. “my name… it's yeosang,” he finishes.

“oh, i’m y/n,” you tell him with a little smile.

“SO… WHAT DOES YOUR FRIEND LOOK LIKE?”

“large, fury,” he answers as the two of you walk through the forest together. the aftermath of the storm is something you haven’t seen before. trees uprooted and threw across the forest, branches broken here and there, and it really looked like a tornado had swept through the area.

“well, then he should be pretty easy to find then. there’s a cave not too far from here, maybe he went there to hide,” you suggested after the two of you basically climbed over a large log before continuing on the dirt path that had been basically man-made over the years of people using this route to travel between the different villages in the earth kingdom.

“that’s probably a good place to check,” he says before he allows you to lead him to the cave that’s nearby. the cave is usually a place known to the villagers, especially the kids who are hiding there from their parents when they are going through their “runaway” phase.

“it should be close,” you tell yeosang as and sure enough the two of you come across the cave. yeosang quicken up his pace as he rushed into the cave, calling out to his friend as he entered it.

“moni! moni, are you here? moni!” his voice echoes throughout the cave as you follow close behind him. you were shocked when you seen a large bison hiding out inside the cave, but this didn’t seem like any regular bison. the arrow design on its fur let you know this was a flying bison and more than likely yeosang’s “friend” he was looking for.

“moni!” yeosang said with a sigh of relief as he ran up to the bison and hugged him. the bison lets out a small roar before he lazily licks yeosang who you notice smiles up at the bison before he’s turning to you, his smile somewhat disappearing, but still remaining on his face. “thank you for helping me find moni,” he tells you and you feel a heat rush over your face as you as you can notice the rather gentle smile overtake yeosang’s face.

“um, it's no problem! but… you still need to rest though, you’re in no place to be trying to leave or fly anywhere,” you tell him, still concerned over his well being.

you can tell yeosang is conflicted about what you are telling him. you can see the conflict of everything going through his mind and you wonder if there’s something else he’s worried about. something different than finding his flying bison.

did it have something to do with the firebenders attacking him? was he separated from someone else and wanting to go find them?

“how long will it take until i can leave?” he asks, bringing you out of your thoughts.

“three days at the most,” you answer him.

“then i’ll stay and rest, then on the third day i’ll leave. i… have someone that i need to find,” he says, proving your theory that he was probably wanting to go look for someone.

“okay,” you tell him before you and him are making your way back to your grandmother’s house. yeosang is kind enough to allow you to ride on the back of moni.

THE NEXT THREE DAYS, you spend making sure yeosang doesn’t push himself while also helping take care of moni. the giant bison seemingly takes a quick interest in you as you feed him different types of vegetables that you and your grandmother grew in her small garden, plus whatever you had bought at the market in the village.

you have also started taking a liking to yeosang, he’s become a nice addition to the house that only kept you and your grandmother. the airbender would often share things with you about his people, telling you stories that date back to centuries ago.

you’ve noticed that your village has also taken a liking to yeosang, the village children entranced by his cool persona. often begging him to show them some of his airbending, which he does but not without a few playful complaints thrown in.

“where are you going to go once you heal?” you ask him on the his last night. the two of you are laying in a field near your grandmother’s. moni is not too far away as well, rolling around peacefully in the field.

you refuse to look at yeosang, instead keeping your eyes on the stars above you. word has been spreading that the fire nation is starting to close in on the earth kingdom with rumors about them already killing most of the air nomads.

“i’m not sure, i just know i need to find my friend,” he says and you can hear the concern in his voice at the thought of perhaps not finding his friend.

“your friend… he’s really precious to you isn’t he?” you ask, feeling your heart race for some unknown reason, or rather one you refuse to acknowledge.

“he is, that’s why i need to find him before the fire nation does,” yeosang says with a sudden spark of determination. “do you have anyone precious to you?” he then asks, catching you off guard.

“my grandmother is precious to me,” you tell him, but you know that’s not what he means.

“is there anyone else?” yes, you want to tell him, but you don’t think you have the heart to talk about him. yeosang turns his head briefly to look at you as he notices your quietness. he’s greeted with the sight of your glossy eyes as you continue to look up at the stars. “i’m sorry… you don’t– i shouldn’t have asked.”

“it’s okay, i lost him because i wasn’t brave enough and i think i’ll probably regret it for the rest of my life,” you confess with a heavy heart as you wipe your tears away. the two of you bask in the silence between each other for a few more hours, before yeosang is helping you onto moni and is taking you back to your grandmother’s.

it feels odd to see yeosang off. you want him to stay, but you know he needs to find his friend. the two of you are standing in front of each other, you shuffle from foot to foot as your eyes look from anywhere but at the airbender in front of you. his wounds have healed nicely and you’re happy to see that he’s gotten his strength back.

“um… thank you, y/n, for finding me and helping me,” yeosang says as he looks at you with a soft smile. the two of you have definitely warmed up to each other over the past three days, but you still feel like he’s a stranger to you. you kind of don’t want him to leave so soon, you want to get the chance to know him better.

before you can say anything, your grandmother is coming out of the house, a bag in her hands before she’s basically shoving the bag into your own.

“g-granny? what are you doing?” you ask, taken off guard by her actions.

“my dear, you’re going to join yeosang on his journey. he’ll need someone to look after him and moni,” she says with a smile and you miss the blush that overtakes yeosang’s face.

“go with… yeosang? but granny, what about you? i need to stay and help you out,” you say, you would love to go with yeosang, this could be your chance to leave your village, but… what about your granny? you need to be here for her and help her out around the house.

“my y/n, you don’t need to worry about me. i feel that yeosang might need you more during his journey,” she tells you and you turn to look at yeosang who is already looking at you.

“i don’t think your grandmother is going to let me leave without you,” he starts and you feel kind of bad. like your grandmother has literally pressured him into making him take you along with him. “but i don’t mind. moni seems to have really taken a liking to you, and it would be nice to have some company,” he adds with a smile making you smile as well.

“well, then i guess i can’t argue with you and granny. so… should we be off then?” you ask and yeosang nods. you bid goodbye to your granny before yeosang is helping you on top of moni. the two of you take off as you finally ask yeosang who you are looking for.

“his name is hongjoong, and he’s… he’s the avatar,” he confessed to you.

Seonghwa woke up to soft kisses sprinkled across his back – over his shoulder blades and nape – your nose nuzzling into the crook of his neck and inhaling the soft scent of his body wash, the events of the previous night coming back to him as he blinked the remnants of his dream away. What he planned to be a quick shower before bed turned into his exercise for the week and a headache over the water bill when you and San decided to slip in after him.

Delicate fingers squeezed the flesh of his waist, moving away when he turned to face you, eyes bleary with sleep. Your arm circled Seonghwa’s waist again, tugging him closer to you and flattening your palm over the small of his back, greeting him with an easy smile. You leaned in to press a feathery kiss to the corner of his lips, feeling it tug upwards before you pulled away.

“’Morning,” he whispered, trying not to disturb the sleeping man sprawled out on the other side of the bed.

“Good morning, birthday boy,” you smiled, eyes soft while you ran your fingers over the side of his face.

A soft shade of red tinted Seonghwa’s cheeks, and he leaned in, capturing your lips in a gentle kiss, sighing contently as your warmth seeped into his skin. He slid his tongue over your bottom lip, slipping it into your mouth and running it over the roof while his fingers scratched at your nape. A hummed pleasantly, the sound vibrating against his lips, the hand on his back slipping down to grab a handful of his ass. Seonghwa groaned softly, low in his throat, and pushed back into your palm, arms moving from your neck to wrap around your shoulders and gather you against his body, bringing you impossibly closer. You alternated between hard and soft, moulding your lips together lazily while inhaling the other’s warm breath until Seonghwa got impatient and began nipping at your bottom lip, sucking your tongue into his mouth, kissing you so hard you forgot that anything other than him existed.

That was until pouty lips pressed against your shoulder, and you didn’t have to look back to see the sulkiness tainting your boyfriend’s face.

“What are you two doing?”

The hoarseness of San’s voice made you crane your neck to look back at him, taking in his heavy eyelids and the disheveled hair pointing in different directions. He blinked at you and Seonghwa, eying your flushed cheeks and swollen lips, his bottom lip jutting out. You turned to lie down on your back before reaching a hand out to cup San’s cheek, running your thumb over his lips. The simple gesture seemed to cheer him up, his dimples sinking into his skin before he moved his attention to Seonghwa where he laid on his side, head propped up on his palm while he watched your interaction with an easy smile.

“Happy birthday, my love,” San muttered before he closed the gap between them, leaning over your body to reach Seonghwa’s lips.

It was your turn to watch, rubbing circles over San’s bare back while you followed how his lips moved against Seonghwa’s – slow at first, savouring the taste of him, but within a few seconds, you could hear the wet sound of their spit moving between them as San’s tongue pushed past Seonghwa’s lips. They left delicate touches over each other’s skin, gentle squeezes here and there as if they hadn’t taken turns fucking each other in the shower the night before, having you watch them while you waited your turn. You felt a wave of arousal pass through you, the warmth pooling at your core as San’s morning wood pressed against your hip, paired with Seonghwa’s soft moans while the younger man’s fingers flicked over his nipples.

Seonghwa tapped San’s shoulder, taking a deep breath when he pulled away from him. He turned his head towards you, smiling at your red cheeks. “I think our (Y/n) would like a kiss too, Sannie.”

San mirrored the older man’s expression when he shifted to look at you, the corners of his eyes wrinkling as he moved to hover his face over yours, pressing a small kiss to the tip of your nose. “Aww, did my baby feel left out?”

He didn’t give you a chance to reply before pressing his lips against yours, so hard you felt the world around you turn into mush, Seonghwa’s soft hand squeezing at your hip to keep you grounded. He watched you kiss for a few minutes, his arousal growing the more he took in your small, breathy moans, muffled against San’s lips. He moved closer to you, resting his head down on your shoulder before speaking.

“Can I…” he cleared his throat, cheeks turning bright red when you pulled away at the sound, two sets of eyes fixed on him and urging him to speak.

“What do you need, sweetheart?” you asked, pressing you lips to the crown of his head.

“I- I want… you,” he raised his head to look at you with those big eyes, glimmering with want, before turning to the other man. “…and Sannie. P-please, I want you both.”

---

Seonghwa’s lips were gentle over yours – rendered useless and inert, parted as soft gasps escaped you – pressing light kisses at over your cupid’s bow down to the corner of your mouth while his fingers pounded into you and curled against your sweet spot, the anticipation of your second orgasm sending a shiver down your spine. You turned your head to look at San, sprawled on his side beside you and rubbing soothing circles over your stomach, a few inches away from where you needed him most, his other hand wrapped loosely around his cock and squeezing around his base every time you let out a breathy moan.

“Why are you looking at me, baby? I’m not the one making you feel good, am I?” San spoke, the rasp in his voice affecting you more than you cared to admit.

San knew what you wanted, knew that you were about to come on Seonghwa’s fingers, knew that you wanted more. And you knew he wasn’t going to give it to you. That’s just how San was, getting off on watching you writhe under him, begging him to stuff you full of his cock and breed you until you were crying from overstimulation. So you turned to the person who would give it to you, taking a few seconds to absorb the way he looked down at you with hooded eyes, face so close you could feel his warm breath blowing against your heated skin.

You reached between your bodies to wrap your fingers around his cock, hard and heavy in your hand. A fresh wave of arousal dripped down Seonghwa’s fingers as you took in the pleasure coating his face when you gave his length a firm stroke. “Hwa… ‘want you inside..."

“Now, now, darling. What happened to your manners?” San clicked his tongue.

You looked up at Seonghwa through your lashes, wetting your lips before speaking. “Please, please, please, Hwa. Give it to me, I’ll be good, I swear-” you recited in one breath.

“Fuck, yeah- okay,” he nodded, eyes fluttering shut as he savoured the soft glide of your palm over his length, aided by the obscene amount of precum leaking from his tip. “Can I- I want to fuck her, please. Sannie, can I?”

You nodded furiously, looking between the two men, guiding Seonghwa’s tip towards your cunt as soon as his fingers slipped out of you, running it through your dripping folds before stopping at your entrance. You rolled your hips against him, trying to push him inside, but Seonghwa pulled his hips back, ignoring your whine while his eyes flitted to the man laying silently beside you.

“Sannie, c-can I fuck her? Please, I- I need her so bad,” Seonghwa panted, his cock twitching between your legs and you could see the tremble in his arms as he tried to hold himself up. Your eyes moved between them, desperation eating at your insides as your hole clenched around nothing.

San’s smile was soft, but the glint in his eyes made you shiver – he knew he was in control; he could say no, leave you to cry and beg while your high dwindled away. He could fuck Seonghwa in front of you, or have Seonghwa fuck him, making you watch them with your hands tied behind your back and your cunt leaking all over the bed, aching to be touched.

But San wouldn’t do that today, not when Seonghwa was asking so nicely.

He cupped Seonghwa’s cheek, his smile soft while he spoke. “It’s your birthday, my angel, you can do whatever you want. You’re in control today.”

Seonghwa breathed out a sigh of relief, leaning down to cover you with his body, heat permeating off his skin and into yours and creating a bubble of warmth around you. He peppered open-mouthed kisses over the side of your face while he lined himself up with your entrance once again, this time pushing past the tight ring and into your heat. Seonghwa let out a throaty moan into your neck, taking the skin between his teeth and leaving blossoming bruises as he bottomed out, rolling his hips to make sure you were taking every last inch of him. You were so full of him, your mind hazy as Seonghwa took over your every sense – the floral body wash that he often stole from you mixed with the tanginess of his sweat as you breathed in his scent, the warmth of his body almost suffocating but you didn’t dare complain, wanting to be engulfed in his very being.

Seonghwa ground his hips against yours, his cockhead pressing against your sweet spot and eliciting a sharp gasp from your lips. He drew his cock out until only the tip remained entrapped within your pulsing walls before sliding back in, his balls slapping against your skin as he began to fuck into you. The mixture of grunts and moans echoed between the walls of your shared room, masking the movement of the other man who quietly slotted himself behind Seonghwa and hooked his chin over his shoulder, the older man straightening up slightly.

“ahh- fuck, darling you feel so good,” he sighed, pistoning his cock into your cunt and revelling in the feeling of San thumbing over his nipple, palms roaming over the expanse of his soft, sun-kissed skin.

San’s fingers pushed into your mouth without warning, pressing against your tongue before sliding further down your throat and making you gag at the sudden intrusion. “Be a good girl and get my fingers wet for me,” he ordered with a smirk decorating his lips.

You felt Seonghwa shudder with anticipation, his cock twitching inside you while he carried out his ruthless rhythm, biting his lip to suppress the noises threatening to escape him every time your pussy clenched around him.

San took Seonghwa’s chin between his index and thumb, twisting his head to face him. He leaned in to press their lips together, biting on his bottom lip and dragging it with him when he moved away. “Don’t hold back, jagiya. Let me hear your pretty voice,” he nuzzled his nose against Seonghwa’s cheek before letting him go.

A chocked moan left your lips when San pulled his fingers out of your mouth, pulling off Seonghwa’s body just enough to slide his dripping fingers over his puckered hole, still soft and pliable from last night’s events.

“Hwa, baby, shit- hnnngh-” your thighs trembled around Seonghwa as he angled his cockhead to pound against your g-spot with every thrust, a dribble of saliva trickling down the side of your face as he fucked you dumb.

San smiled lopsidedly at your expression, your moans mixing with Seonghwa’s, the auditory stimulation alone nearly making San come all over the other man’s back. His free hand reached for yours – fisting the sheets at your side – and guided it to his throbbing cock, standing hard and angry against his lower belly. “Is our angel making you feel good, hm? Tell me, sweetheart, do you think he deserves my fingers?”

Seonghwa looked into your eyes pleadingly, red staining his cheeks and neck, his cock spasming wildly inside you. “Yeah,” you breathed out, heat spreading through your skin as shots of pleasure seared through you. “He’s doing s-so well- nghh! F-fucking me so good,” you held his face in your palm and rubbed your thumb over his cheekbone, looking up at him through lidded eyes. Your other hand pumped San’s cock, dragging up his length to squeeze around his head before sliding back down to the base.

San hummed contentedly – low and hoarse – while he thrusted his hips into your fist. “Such a good boy,” San purred. “Making our sweet girl feel so good,” he peppered kisses over Seonghwa’s shoulders, circling his finger around his rim before pushing in.

Seonghwa exhaled a sigh of relief as San’s finger dragged along his walls, his hips jolting when he slipped in another and curled them against Seonghwa’s favourite spot. “Fuck, S-san!”

“Shh, just relax for me. I’ll make it feel good, darling.” He thrusted his fingers against Seonghwa’s prostate, barely pulling out before stuffing them back inside him and pressing the pads of his fingers against the gland.

“There- ahhh, right there, fuck!” Seonghwa snapped his hips against yours vigorously, leaning down to press his mouth to yours and swallow the cries of pleasure slipping out of you as he continued his ruthless pace. "Hah... (Y/n), my love, shit- I-I'm-"

Seonghwa bucked his hips into you once, twice before sheathing himself deep inside you and flooding your walls with his load, tremors shaking his body as San continued working his prostate. A soft whine slipped out of Seonghwa's lips when the overstimulation became too much, reaching back to paw at San’s hand until the other man slipped his fingers out of him. San gave his ass a soft pat before grabbing onto his hips and guiding him out of your fluttering hole. A fresh wave of arousal rushed through you at the whimper that you drew out of him when you clenched down on his cockhead, trying to keep him inside you.

San groaned behind him at the sight of Seonghwa’s cum leaking out of you, your pussy clenching around air, desperate to be stuffed. “So good for me, my darling, look at how much you came.” San reached forward to spread your folds with his thumb, watching as more of Seonghwa’s release flooded out of you. “Made our pretty girl nice and wet for me, didn’t you?”

Seonghwa was drained, his chest flushed and coated with sweat as it rose and fell while he recovered from his orgasm. He gave a weak nod, the tips of his ears turning a brighter shade of red. San pressed a tender kiss to his jaw before maneuvering him to lay beside you and taking his place on top of you.

You grabbed onto his biceps, rolling your hips against him desperately. “Sannie, please…”

“Aww, does my baby want to come?” San gazed down on you – his smile sickeningly sweet – before he leaned down to press feathery kisses over your cheeks. “Do you want me to fuck another load into you? Make you nice and full of our babies, hm?” You nodded deliriously, San’s smirk only growing, his dimple sinking into his cheek as he took in your crazed state. “Beg for it.”

Seonghwa gave your waist a squeeze, sliding closer to paste himself to your side and whisper in your ear. “Go on, treasure, beg Sannie for his cock. I know you want to,” Seonghwa’s fingers slipped between your legs, gathering some of the cum dribbling out of you on his fingers and pushing it back inside, sheathing his fingers inside you and revelling in the squelch of your pussy around him. "Tell him how bad you want to be a mommy."

“Please, please, Sannie, baby. I’ll be g-good, just want your cock inside,” you begged, exhaling soft breaths as Seonghwa’s fingers curled against your walls and teased around your g-spot. "W-want your cum, pleaaase-"

That seemed to satisfy San, too turned on himself to continue tormenting you. He batted Seonghwa’s hand away, not giving you a chance to breathe before he buried himself inside your heat.

“Oh fuck, oh- haahh-” Heat pooled in your lower belly as San fucked into your abused cunt with abandon, groaning into your neck when your pussy squeezed around him.

Seonghwa hooked his arm around your knee and spread you open for San, pressing his mouth to your jaw and nipping at the skin. “Is Sannie making you feel good, sweetheart? Are you going to be good and come on his cock?”

“Uh-huhh,” you cried, your eyes rolling back when San slowed down his thrusts to a languid grind, his cock sliding deliciously between your fluttering walls.

The fingers wrapping around your throat brought your attention to the man above you – his eyes lidded with lust, hips going back to their frenzied pace, the sound of skin-on-skin reverberating between the four walls. “Keep your eyes on me when I fuck you,” he growled, his thrusts growing sloppy as he neared his high.

You did as you were told, your eyes never leaving his even when your vision blurred and darkened around the edges, your gut tightening and muscles clenching when your climax finally washed over you. You felt fingers working your clit roughly, stretching out your orgasm and sending San into his as your walls spasmed and contracted around his cock, milking every last drop of his seed out of him. San rolled his hips into yours, moaning and grunting into your skin while Seonghwa peppered loving kisses over the side of your face, his fingers rubbing slow circles around your clit and sending jolts of pleasure up your spine.

“So perfect, the both of you,” San praised, lifting his head to place a kiss on your temple before pressing his lips to Seonghwa’s cheekbone.

Seonghwa smiled sweetly, kneading at the flesh San’s hip. “San-ah, I want to see…” he muttered, gently pushing San’s softening length out of you to watch the combination of their cum ooze out of your ravished cunt.

You heard San curse under his breath when the other man kneeled between your open legs and licked a stripe up your pussy, watching your hips jerk when Seonghwa sucked at your clit.

“H-hwa- too much!” you reached down to push him away, but San grabbed your wrist before you could and pinned it against the bed.

“Uh uh,” he warned. “It’s his birthday, let him do as he pleases.”

You whined when San reached for your other wrist, holding them above your head while Seonghwa lapped at your cunt, pushing his tongue inside you to slurp at the cum painting your walls. You felt a pressure building in your lower belly when Seonghwa pushed two fingers inside you and curled them against your g-spot, the slide easy with the mixture of fluids leaking out of you. He swallowed the last bit of cum emptied inside of you and pressed delicate kisses to your swollen clit, his fingers unrelenting as they ripped moan after moan out of you.

“Give me one more,” Seonghwa muttered against your mound.

“I-I can’t, I-”

“Yes you can,” San interrupted, grabbing your jaw in his palm and squishing your cheeks together. “You’re our good girl, aren’t you?”

You nodded, tears streaming down the sides of your face as pleasure mixed with pain seared through your abdomen.

“Come on, Jagiya, give it to me,” Seonghwa urged, bringing his other hand down to thumb at your clit, pressing his cheek to your quivering thigh. “Please, please, I want to watch you come on my fingers one more time.”

You writhed under the two men as you tumbled over the edge once again, clear liquid gushing out of you and spraying all over Seonghwa’s belly and thighs. He pressed his fingers against your sweet spot and watched as you squirted again, leaning back down to swallow it all down. He worked you through your high, only pulling away when your thighs closed around his shoulders and your hips jerked away from his touch.

“Holy fuck,” San muttered and brushed the matted hair off your forehead, taking in your fucked-out state – the violent tremble of your thighs, sweat covering every last patch of skin and reflecting the morning rays peeking through the blinds, unfocused eyes staring at the ceiling while you regained your breath.

They gave you a few minutes to recover, cleaning you up with a warm towel while keeping you grounded with delicate touches here and there – Seonghwa's gentle palms rubbed soothing circles over your belly while San scattered tender pecks and kisses over the expanse of your skin, over your face and neck then down to your chest.

You felt content, warm, safe. In their arms, in their company. Simply by existing within the same space. You no longer had any recollection of your life before them – how did you go to the store and not think about them whenever you spotted their favourite snack? How did you react when a new Lego set released, and how did you not rush to buy it for your beloved? Perhaps you were grateful for not knowing. You wanted to believe that every experience you had sustained before them served as preparation for what’s to come, simply a filler readying you for a life of constant bliss and contentment. A life where you never doubted the love you were given.

You spent the rest of your day in bed upon Seonghwa’s request, watching a rerun of all the Star Wars movies and pretending to be awake when he caught you snoozing. San would giggle and poke your side, playfully scolding you for falling asleep – as if he hadn’t startled the two of you with a sudden snore an hour ago.

Tucked in under the blankets, limbs a tangled mess as you and San fought over who got to be the little spoon, Seonghwa watched you bicker with a fond smile gracing his lips.

How lucky I am, he thought, to be loved twice as much as much as everyone else.

Does Your Nephew Have A Bias? | Wooyoung

"Wow, you look lovely."

Y/N theatrically rolled her eyes upon hearing Wooyoung's laugh after speaking in a joking tone.

She was a complete mess. Sweaty, her clothes crooked while his nephew was in his arms struggling to play on the floor and the hair tied up in a way that was messier than his living room with toys scattered on the floor.

"Glad you made it." she sighed and handed her nephew to Wooyoung before he even entered her house.

"What?" he asked confusedly and reached out to hold the baby who happily went into his arms.

"Hold him, I have to pee!" she replied in a hurry and ran to the bathroom while Wooyoung laughed, taking off his shoes, closing the door.

"Hey buddy." he smiled at the baby who rubbed his eyes and laid his head on his shoulder.

It was Saturday and Y/N's day to babysit her nephew.

Her sister and the husband were working and she had already made sure she stayed with her nephew since she had the weekend off and she loved the baby.

He was about to turn a year and a half old, spending the day with him was the best thing in the world, but he was learning to walk. Which meant Y/N had to help him get around the house, always holding his tiny hand as he wanted to almost run.

It didn't look like it but it was extremely tiring and as it approached the time for him to take his nap after lunch, it was even more so.

When she returned, Wooyoung was swaying him in an almost imperceptible dance, making her smile at the scene.

"Am I at the wrong time?" he asked quietly, resting his chin on the baby's head who was almost asleep.

"Just in time." she replied in the same tone and took the bottle that was on top of the sofa. "I'll make his milk if he complains-"

"I know how to make children sleep, you know?" he interrupted and she smiled ruefully.

Of course he knew, in addition to having experience with his brother, Wooyoung was also great with kids and her nephew adored him.

She raised her arms, surrendered and went to the kitchen at the same time that her nephew started to complain.

She laughed but hearing Wooyoung talk to him, she continued on her way, he knew what to do.

While she prepared the bottle in the kitchen, Wooyoung arranged the baby in his arms, laying him down to cuddle him better at the same time that he reached for the remote control.

Y/N's nephew loved music and he had the perfect one in mind to put him to sleep, but he stopped when he saw that the tv was on with Jongho's cover more specifically Don't Go Today.

The baby raised his head to face the tv, clearly familiar with that version and Wooyoung saw him smile before lying back in his arms, practically surrendering to sleep as Jongho's soft voice filled the room.

Wooyoung tried to contain his face of shock as he rocked the baby to sleep, looking at the TV in disbelief.

As soon as Y/N returned to the room with the bottle already warm, her nephew was already sleeping, breathing heavily with his mouth open.

"The Jongho cover? Really?" he spoke quietly, turning to face her as she placed the bottle on top of the couch.

She laughed discreetly, turning her back to Wooyoung, arranging the sofa for her nephew to stay there.

"I had to play hard, I've been trying to get him to sleep for 40 minutes." she explained as she spread out the coverlet.

And when she came back to face Wooyoung, he had a funny face like he wanted to get mad.

"I also have a cover and a very good one by the way, it has 392,000 views." he muttered, pouting.

"Put him on the couch." she laughed softly, pointing to her nephew's seat.

He complained but did so, being careful not to hurt the baby or make him wake up, and covered him with the blanket next.

Y/N took the opportunity to sit on the other end, stretching her legs that made a noise and felt her back hurt, Wooyoung sat next to her, getting in the middle between the baby and her.

Automatically Y/N's head sought Wooyoung's shoulder, leaning against it as he crossed his arms, she didn't even need to look at him to know he still had his pout.

"So your nephew has a bias."

"I think it's too early for that." she laughed softly, closing her eyes with the intention of resting for five minutes.

"Hm, I mean, he always turns his face to look at Yeosang when he appears and now he falls asleep listening to Jongho sing?" he sounded disbelieved. "In a moment you'll tell me he likes other groups too."

She just laughed and Wooyoung knew that sound well.

"What? You're not even going to deny it?"

"You know YouTube suggests other videos of the same genre, I just leave it on."

"Yes, based on what you watch often." he glanced at the tv as another video started. He knew the face that was on tv but not because it was him or the members. "NCT? Have you been listening to NCT?"

He eased the back of the sofa, making Y/N move too and she stared at him.

Wooyoung had an expression of someone who had been…betrayed.

"When you met me, you knew I liked their music." she defended herself and Wooyoung just looked at her, he didn't seem to know what to say.

And actually he didn't, because Y/N was right but seeing Jaehyun's cover playing made him feel a little jealous.

That's why he didn't say anything, he just turned off the tv since he was still holding the remote control.

She laughed tiredly and he left the remote on the couch as he eased back into the couch and Y/N followed him, feeling him wrap his arm around her shoulder.

They were silent for a while, Wooyoung trying to find an argument good enough to win that dispute but he stopped thinking about it when he felt Y/N's body give way and heard her breathing get heavier.

He moved his head enough to see that she was sleeping against him, making him sigh heavily. Now it didn't even matter which cover she listened to or not.

He stayed in that position for a while, making circular movements on her arm and when he realized that she was sleeping as soundly as his nephew, he settled her on the couch and got up, going to the kitchen to make something to eat.

While he was cooking, he thought of a way to make Y/N hear only his voice before going to sleep, after all his pride didn't accept losing to his members.

Jaehyun is fine, but Jongho? No, that was unacceptable. The youngest had an angelic voice, it was true, but he wasn't going to allow his girlfriend and her nephew to sleep listening to Jongho's cover instead of his.

As soon as he finished, he went back to the living room and, being careful not to wake the baby, he approached Y/N and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Y/N, hey." he woke her up, seeing her open her eyes slowly. "Come eat, you must be hungry."

Y/N stretched slowly, looking at her nephew and seeing that he was still sleeping, Wooyoung took the opportunity to hug her and lifted her off the couch when he saw that she was lazy.

She got a kiss on the cheek as she got up and smiled at Wooyoung who hugged her around the waist, the two went to the kitchen, to get the food and go back to the living room.

That done, they sat down on the floor after placing the food on the coffee table in the room, Y/N's stomach rumbled so loudly that Wooyoung laughed, serving her.

She looked at him tenderly as he set the food for her.

"Thanks." she reached over to kiss his cheek. "And thanks for coming today, I know you're tired."

He shook his head, smiling as he handed her the food.

"Although I was betrayed in this house, I still do everything for you." he responded dramatically and Y/N took the food, looking at him in amusement.

"You're such a drama queen." she spoke before starting to eat, closing her eyes for a few seconds to enjoy the taste. "But you cook like nobody else."

"It is good?" he asked curiously and she nodded, eating more.

"Great, but I still feel betrayed." he shrugged and started to eat too.

"Fine, what do you want me to do to change that?" she asked, looking at Wooyoung.

He looked up thoughtfully.

"A kiss." he replied, smiling sideways and she contained her smile.

She reached over to place a quick kiss on his lips, which he'd been waiting for eagerly, and when she pulled away too quickly he complained.

"You call that a kiss?" he asked in disbelief.

"You didn't specify!" she replied and Wooyoung let go of everything he was holding to grab her by the back of her neck and truly kiss her.

His lips captured hers thirstily and she sighed, closing her eyes as she let go of what she held to grip his shoulder.

The kiss was fast and hot, the kind that stole all the air out of her in a matter of seconds.

Y/N squeezed Wooyoung's shoulder to indicate that she needed to breathe and gained a light bite on her bottom lip, making her want more but he pulled away.

She was ready to go back to kissing him but Wooyoung turned his attention back to the food, it was her turn to pout.

"We're not done yet." he winked mischievously and she laughed.

"Well, that definitely woke me up." she stated, making him put a hand over his mouth to stifle the sound of loud laughter.

"But I really have to ask you." he spoke after swallowing the food.

"What?" she looked at him, curious, he had a serious face.

"Does your nephew have a bias?"

"Wooyoung!"
