For those who might have noticed that I’m not that active lately, I’m still alive! I won’t be very active this and the following week since exams have started last Monday. I was a little to preoccupied to post about my current situation so... yeah belated post. Hopefully I succeed and can I proceed to the last half year of my education so that I can finally work as a graduated nurse. Updates on artwork and story progress will come soon. Until then have an updated version of my summer look.

I love dragons, dragons are the best!

Get ready for a long one! I tried to be as detailed as possible but I wouldn’t be surprised if I missed a few things or may got a fact wrong. I plan to digital Cyro soon. So - have a character sheet! Feel free to critique and giggle at the “Scents” section at the bottom, written in her pov. Enjoy!

Clothes: heavily inspired by 80s fashion with some rock/metal/grunge twists. Jeans are her favorite fabric. She does not like to show skin too much and she does have a scar that can make some people uneasy. She wears jewelry and her go-tos are diamonds and crystals. They are usually not real so no harm if they break. She has two dangle earings, one stud, and three loops. She also has an array of belt chokers, which, translates into her Dragonne form. It also serves a way for anyone who rides on her back to hang on to.

What is She?

She is a cryptid/creature called a Dragonne - a feline like dragon. Her human form and Dragonne form are one in the same, she isn’t one or the other. Typically, Dragonnes are scaled nose to tail, however, she was born with fur. This is due to her element - Ice. Its isn’t known if there are others of her kind at this time. She is able to shift and use her ice powers without her gem. Her gem (a Diamond) doubles her power and gives her armor. However, there is a reason why she parted with the gem for a long time and hesitates to use it: it absorbs her energy like a rechargeable battery black hole. It will get to a point that she requires the gem to even shift into her shape. If she tries to shift without it, she risks harming herself, coughing up blood and body aches.

She can breathe cones of ice and can concentrate it into a beam of ice. She summons blizzards and will drop the temperature, based on her mood. When she is upset, she can summon light snowfall. Making it easy for her friends to realize her emotional state. In a rage, she can create a fierce blizzard. Ice can build on her body and can crawl down onto her pinned foe. Her most recent ability is Crystalotstis - the power to form crystals.

She tends to use her ice as a fast acting bandage and pain relief to numb her pain. She is never bothered by the cold but heat is her enemy. She hates the summer months and the beach is not her place to be. That being said, if she manages to be separated from her gem or is too exhausted, she will start to overheat and risk heatstroke. She tends to be more cold to the touch but recent events say otherwise due to her gem absorbing more power.

She does have some “mannerisms” of a big cat that it takes an animal expert (like Percy) to point them out. Like real cats, she blinks more slowly around those she trusts and will not hesitate to give headbuttt. In her dragonne form, she’ll do what tigers do: roar, chuff, moan, and the like. Thus, her nickname, Tiger.

Backstory

Life wasn’t easy when she was young. Cryptids were severely looked down upon and even feared. She is one of a few that can shift into a human shape, however, it's easy to tell she is not fully human. She was abandoned by her parents and she fended for herself in the wilderness of Sodor until she came across Kat. Kat took her in (tempting the cub with food) and the duo have been friends ever since. As she got more used to her human form, she was introduced to Edward and she fell head-over-heels for him. Kat soon was told this and gave Cyro a good tease, with the promise that she wouldn’t spill the beans. Not so soon after, she also grew a crush on Tennant, but she was quite scared of him at first. Their bond was quite special and they both grew feelings for each other, however, they missed the first window of opportunity.

Then, the war. Cyro grew quite powerful and her gem made her even more so, taking on waves of zombies. She fought alongside Edward and Kat. There was a point when she managed to fall off a bridge (in her dragonne form, by the way) and Edward had to rescue her. She is absolutely embarrassed by this event that she refuses to talk about. However, the fateful moment came when Kat took Boomer on. When Cyro saw Kat was in trouble, she rushes forward to try to save her, however, Boomer thwacks her with his shock rod, knocking her way, temporarily paralyzing her. Boomer took the opportunity to kill Kat with his Scooper Weapon. This starts Cyro’s feelings of regret. Cyro was instructed to take the gems and hide them away, with the aid of Mr.C. She headed to America. She meets a man by the name of Frank Marsh, a member of the USA version of the guild. The gems were taken to the Crystal Caverns in Mexico and were left under the care of a Crystal Dragon named Jasper. Cyro was basically too weak to return to Sodor at this time, being separated from her gem. She did regain her strength and is able to use her born powers again. She stayed in America for quite a while and saw many different places and people. However, when she heard about the guild and Edward getting poisoned, she returns and stays on Sodor (she was back and forth for a while). One event was when Tennant sought her out when he returned, after losing his arm. She was shocked to see him in such a horrid state.

About 5 years after the great battle, Cyro confronted Alfred in a factory. However, it ended with the factory blowing up, both still inside. Cyro’s icy blast protected her from the initial explosion and flames, however, she got caught under the rubble and impaled by rebar. She was about to full on panic, thinking she would die alone, until Ten came to save her. She was out for nearly a week and has a permanent scar on her belly and back where the bar impaled her.

Her heart was broken when Ten hooked up with Melissa. She grew jealous and longed for what they had. During one of her shorter stays, she was asked to watch the baby Mavis, by Henry. Henry had a erran and knew Cyro would be fine with her. Cyro wasn’t too sure about it at first, but she fell in love with Lil Mavis. You can guess when Ten returned and saw Henry come back home, he was surprised when he saw Cyro holding a sleeping Mavis. She did the same when Diesel was born and happily watched the kids when she could.

However, she went to a dark place and saw no way out. She nearly succeeded in committing suicid by train but a random person pulled her off the tracks and told her to find something to live for. She still fights her demons but she is trying.

Interactions

Cyro shows her affection in a more physical sense than a verbal one. These are some characters that she does have a Specific affectionate gesture for that isnt a traditional hand shake, high five, fist bump or hug.

Edward: She likes to give him a gentle bonk on the head. This started when they started training together and Edward was in self doubt. She gave him a bonk to snap him out of it. It has stuck ever since. She would do this to either encourage him or tease the hell out of him.

Diesel 10 (Tennant): She likes to boop his nose. She had no clue how to approach him back then and it didn’t help that he was flirting with other people too. She respected him at first but grew a close bond when they had an argument. She booped his nose (mostly by accident) when she was trying to prove a point to her argument. They were a flustered mess and Ten didn’t mind it (of course he didn’t). However, when he was with Melissa, she toned it down so as to not be in the way of their relationship. He missed it. She happily does it now, since she gets a bit of a kick when Ten expects it. There was one time when Ten got caught in one of the Clay Twins tricks, covered in paint, she booped his nose, leaving a nice dot of paint. She also insists on standing on his right side, the side of his claw. She is not terrified of it at all, though, Ten tends to stand with her on his left, so he can hold her hand when he wants to/doesn’t have to fear of clawing her.

Kat: Cyro would ‘shoulder bump’ her. Cryptids were looked down upon back in the day and Cyro’s presence really put people off. Kat was the one who started it all with Cyro displaying her affection this way. Kat ‘shoulder bumped’ Cyro first.

Scents:

She has the ability to Distinguish people based on their scents. This is part of her Dragonne trait and is embarrassed that she can track people by their scents (and it can weird people out). Here is the list of characters and what she describes their scent like:

Cyro: Alright, let’s get this over with. Don’t take this out of context! I do identify others by scent as well and it is helpful to have a nose like mine. Just - don’t take it out of context!

Thomas - He usually smells like his favorite snack, particularly the cheesy ones. He can be easy to track but the little guy is quicker on his feet than you realize.

Edward - He has a clean scent mixed with tea. He sure does love his tea! I also enjoy his scent. It's pretty soothing. Maybe another reason why I crushed on him so hard…D-don’t look at me like that!

Henry - He straight up smells like a Pine Tree. I kid you not. He is our sweet nature boy!

Gordon - He has a strong scent of his favorite Cologne but without it, he smells of morning dew. Yes, that has a smell, shut up!

James - If glitter has a smell - this is it. That is the best way to describe it. No, I don’t sniff glitter to confirm this.

Percy - He smells of a zoo. It can be overwhelming at times but the Guild House has so many smells going on! Anyway, Percy is always surrounded by animals. So much so that I managed to memorize every dog he pets on his way home from school. But in general, he is a mix of all the animals he interacts with!

Toby - He is so gonna punch me for this but he smells a bit like old leather. A bit meh.

Duck - He smells like one. No, that isn’t a reason why he goes by Duck. He just smells like one. I don’t know!

Donald and Douglas - I am a master at the twin switch game! Donald smells more like bird feathers while Douglas is more like an open plain. Both have the scent of the first winter snowfall which is very pleasant!

Oliver - He smells like the mix of the sea side and metal. I can’t put my finger on why the metal though.

Emily - She manages to smell like a mailroom. Don’t look at me! I don’t know why! I know she likes to read so…the books maybe?

Diesel - Heh! He totally smells of Cigarette smoke. But when he was a baby, he had the scent of a campfire. His sister smelled of magnolias.

D-10 (Tennant) - Figures! Gotta explain my boyfriend…*blushes* he has an earthy scent that…tingles my nose like soda fizz…shut up!

Scot - Like his brother, he wears Cologne. He changes it up quite a bit and…makes me guess what he is wearing…I swear he drives me nuts sometimes!

Daisy - I always smell her preferred perfume and her makeup. What can I say? Its strong!

Tyler - Grrrrrr…HIM! He always smells of gunpowder. He will pay…

Gunter - Oh yeah! Ten’s ninja friend! He smells smokey but not like gunpowder or cigarettes. Its tough to explain.

Bane - Dog. This kid smells of dog because he is a werewolf. I don’t like the smell of dog at all.

Cyro: Alright! Will you stop embarrassing me now?

Oh boy, my choice huh?

Okay here goes! My (un)popular opinion is how I see this community, a warm welcoming place for people to come together and talk about a common childhood interest that impacted us in various ways. Honestly I never thought that I would be noticed as I started posting but that soon changed simply by the fact of me asking politely about people’s opinions, permission and generally by taking the step of posting ttte art in the first place ( @asktrio516 and @robotic-railways know what I’m talking about). And then it just rolled by itself, I made wonderful friends, saw new interesting people and I’m genuinely having a good time. Even in hard times this fandom showed compassion and support, not always in a way I would handle the situation but the point was to stand up for another what I hugely appreciated. In short I’m proud of where I am today in this fandom and wil remain a proud member! And while we are at it why not shout out the people that were either a huge inspiration and or support to me!
