Find Five Lines
Late thanks to @kaylinalexanderbooks for the tag! This is kind of a cheat, since a lot of these need context around them so they're longer than 1 line, lmao. But whatever!
Rules: Find 5 lines that fit the prompts, then change 1 for whoever you tag
A line with movement
Glancing at the clock, she had about 5 minutes before it was time to eat, and it took about 10 to get there from her room. That plus how long it’d take to buy food… she’d have run if it wouldn’t have exerted too much energy. As it was, she moved at a respectable speed-walking pace.
A line with fear
Her breathing turned quick and shallow, and she fought to regulate it. She lost that battle once her opponent had made their appearance.
A funny line
The scream building in Iris’ chest was taking everything in her power to hold back. “Luna. Did you. Attack. The crown. Prince.”
A line with color
“You seem… familiar.” Ah, shit. Was he gonna sue?! Before she could cook up a proper lie, his eyes widened in recognition. “Blueberry.” “Huh?” “You’re the blueberry-haired girl. The little demon from the fountain.” If she wasn’t afraid of getting kicked out of the library or even hanged, she’d have screeched at that. Blueberry?! Her hair was cobalt! Cobalt! Maybe even cornflower in certain lighting! “Fuck you,” was out of her mouth before she had the sense to shut up.
A line you've changed a lot
The naginata had yet to forsake her, and so it would be at her side as she stood before the doors of death.
For you: A line with movement, a line with fear, a funny line, a line with color, and a line you LOVE

Playlist (tbh I don't really do these. So I'm kinda just listing whatever comes to mind lmao):
The Vampire Masquerade by Peter Gundry
The Weirdos Waltz by Peter Gundry
Waltz of Memories by Pierre-Alexandre Monin
Rich Girl by Gwen Stefani
Fabulous from High School Musical 2
Summary of Vibes:
If Sharpay Evans was a greedy, old-money nightmare wrapped in an immortal 12-year-old's body
But also if she was dressed like a Victorian porcelain doll
Resident information broker and deal-maker. Anything you want, and anything you want to know, all available for a price.
A witch AND a vampire. Because the rich keep winning apparently
The center of several urban legends both in and outside of her community
biggest debate in town: Is She Actually Twelve, Or is it Just Vampirism (being half makes the aging rate wonky)
second-biggest debate: How the Fuck Does She Know These Things
honestly, I'd give her and her family more flak for being so wealthy... but imagine being part of a race that can live for centuries and still being unable to build some savings? Like just walk into the sun at that point?
It's "self-made wealth" when you tricked the IRS into thinking you were 6 different descendants of yourself the past few decades as you continue to make investments and trade deals and buy out your competitors... allegedly

I feel like there’s needs to be, like, handbook for authors who post on Ao3 for effective metatext.
By metatext I mean like tagging, summary, and authors notes (especially initial authors notes at the beginning of a fic). The means by which we communicate to our readers what they’re getting into.
Because we kind of all have to learn it by osmosis and there are conventions but nobody’s really taught them at the start, so there’s inconsistencies and misunderstandings or people just not knowing things through no fault of their own.
This ends up breeding frustration and confusion and in the worst cases resentment, hurt, and aggression.
I’m severely tempted to make such a handbook and get it circulating.
I think it would do fandom a lot of good.
In the midst of another NaNoWriMo controversy, I'm going to take a second to recommend TrackBear (https://trackbear.app/) to anyone looking for a new way to track their writing.
You can have multiple WIPs going at once that can all count towards the same goal, or you can make it so only select WIPs can count towards a goal.
You can have "Habits" or "Goals." A goal is 50k in a month, and a habit is 1667 for 30 days.
It also has a leaderboard for you and any friends that you are writing with.
I've enjoyed it a lot these past couple of months, and I find it a fantastic (and a better) alternative to NaNoWriMo's word tracker.
