WIP First Line Tag
Thanks for the tag, @pandoras-comment-box! I don't remember where I started on this session, so I'm just putting the first line of the story, lol.
Rules: "Post the first line(s) you put down on your WIP during your writing session."
"Of all the ways they could’ve died, Claire was both disappointed and upset that she was hit by a truck."

Find Five Lines
Late thanks to @kaylinalexanderbooks for the tag! This is kind of a cheat, since a lot of these need context around them so they're longer than 1 line, lmao. But whatever!
Rules: Find 5 lines that fit the prompts, then change 1 for whoever you tag
A line with movement
Glancing at the clock, she had about 5 minutes before it was time to eat, and it took about 10 to get there from her room. That plus how long it’d take to buy food… she’d have run if it wouldn’t have exerted too much energy. As it was, she moved at a respectable speed-walking pace.
A line with fear
Her breathing turned quick and shallow, and she fought to regulate it. She lost that battle once her opponent had made their appearance.
A funny line
The scream building in Iris’ chest was taking everything in her power to hold back. “Luna. Did you. Attack. The crown. Prince.”
A line with color
“You seem… familiar.” Ah, shit. Was he gonna sue?! Before she could cook up a proper lie, his eyes widened in recognition. “Blueberry.” “Huh?” “You’re the blueberry-haired girl. The little demon from the fountain.” If she wasn’t afraid of getting kicked out of the library or even hanged, she’d have screeched at that. Blueberry?! Her hair was cobalt! Cobalt! Maybe even cornflower in certain lighting! “Fuck you,” was out of her mouth before she had the sense to shut up.
A line you've changed a lot
The naginata had yet to forsake her, and so it would be at her side as she stood before the doors of death.
For you: A line with movement, a line with fear, a funny line, a line with color, and a line you LOVE

Incorrect Quotes Tag
Thanks for the tag, @mysticstarlightduck! Gonna give this one to Asteria Heights, lol.
Aven: Do you ever feel like exploding? Have you experienced the urge to enter the process of combustion? Has your mind created a logical idea, known as thought, to disperse your body into thousands of particles suddenly? Nina: It’s 3 am, please go back to sleep.
Kai: What's worse than heartbreak? Nina: Waking up in the morning and your phone wasn't charging. Meg: Waking up in the morning. Aven: Waking up.
Meg: When I met you I thought you were a real bitch. Aven: What changed your mind? Meg: Oh, I still think you’re a bitch, I’ve just grown to like that about you.
Aven: I didn't drink that much last night. Meg: You were flirting with Nina. Aven: So what? She's my girlfriend. Meg: You asked if she was single. Meg: And then you cried when she said she wasn't.
Aine: Dammit, you ruin everything! Meg: You're welcome.
Townsperson: talking about Aine’s funeral You do know we’re burying a great person today! Meg, shocked: Did someone else die?

I feel like there’s needs to be, like, handbook for authors who post on Ao3 for effective metatext.
By metatext I mean like tagging, summary, and authors notes (especially initial authors notes at the beginning of a fic). The means by which we communicate to our readers what they’re getting into.
Because we kind of all have to learn it by osmosis and there are conventions but nobody’s really taught them at the start, so there’s inconsistencies and misunderstandings or people just not knowing things through no fault of their own.
This ends up breeding frustration and confusion and in the worst cases resentment, hurt, and aggression.
I’m severely tempted to make such a handbook and get it circulating.
I think it would do fandom a lot of good.
In the midst of another NaNoWriMo controversy, I'm going to take a second to recommend TrackBear (https://trackbear.app/) to anyone looking for a new way to track their writing.
You can have multiple WIPs going at once that can all count towards the same goal, or you can make it so only select WIPs can count towards a goal.
You can have "Habits" or "Goals." A goal is 50k in a month, and a habit is 1667 for 30 days.
It also has a leaderboard for you and any friends that you are writing with.
I've enjoyed it a lot these past couple of months, and I find it a fantastic (and a better) alternative to NaNoWriMo's word tracker.
Most Likely Tag
Thanks for the tag, @pandoras-comment-box!
Who's most likely to adopt a racoon/crow/skunk/fox/miscellaneous local wildlife for a pet? (Please tell the class how badly it would go. Please!)
Megumi would be the most likely SUCCESSFUL adopter, seeing as she can speak to animals and spends a lot of her free time with them anyway. But that's no fun, so Claire or Sora would probably be the next runners-up, with Claire's being the most disastrous.
Claire would be found in her room, fist-fighting a raccoon she tried to sneak into the cabin at 3 am. They'd become mortal enemies, and the raccoon would spend its time menacing her despite also refusing to leave (magic probably doesn't work on raccoons).
A total wildcard would be Adrasteia. If certain conditions are met, I'd imagine she'd find herself enchanted by an ugly, evil little possum or mole rat or something, and she'd immediately decide it's hers. The whole palace would be forced to deal with an aggressive little demon creature in a pink sweater, because if anything happened to it their heads would be next.
Most likely to verbally eviscerate someone for something petty.
Iris or Adrasteia. It's a toss-up between that and them just stabbing you, though.
Most likely to go viral unintentionally.
Luna or Claire, if they had internet in their world. For OCs in a world WITH social media, I don't know, lol. A lot of my characters are walking disasters, so any of them could easily do something that ends up being caught on camera and uploaded. Luna and Claire are expressly from a comedy though, so they're at the top of the list.
If I had to go with anyone, I guess Sora? She's the most openly impulsive/accidentally destructive, so I could imagine that would be worth putting on TikTok or something, lol.
This was fun! Here are mine for you!
Most likely to crash a car
Most likely to get caught in a "this isn't what it looks like!" situation
Most likely to become a fashion icon
