I Am Once Again Begging Yall To Stop Saying That Lesbians Are More Privileged Than The Other Lgbt Sexualities.
i am once again begging yâall to stop saying that lesbians are more privileged than the other lgbt sexualities. we are LITERALLY the smallest sexual minority group in the community. not to mention,
- our flag is never respected or used, and people will come up with any excuse to disrespect it and itâs creator
- our terms and labels are co-opted by people who arenât lesbians and when we ask them to stop we are labeled as bigots
- our sexuality is fetishized and misrepresented in media only to pander to cishet men and about 80% of the representation we get is only cis white feminine women
- donât even get me started on the way yâall treat lesbians of color, trans lesbians, non binary lesbians, and butch&femme lesbians
if you arenât a lesbian, you need to be fucking speaking up about lesbophobia. people donât listen to us. the amount of times iâve seen a bi woman speak out against lesbophobia and a lesbian be called biphobic for saying the same thing is .. astounding. if you think that lesbians have some kind of âmonosexual privilegeâ or have it BETTER due to how hyper sexualized we are, youâre a lesbophobe. pure and simple.
[terfs, radfems, truscum, and transmeds donât touch this post.]

Who knows about Sally Hemings?
She was Thomas Jefferson's slave.
Called his "mistress," but how can you be a mistress when you were a slave, a child, and could not consent? Had absolutely no choice?
She bore him 6, perhaps as many as 8 children. He kept her locked in a basement room.
The room was recently unearthed, and DNA evidence has proven the lineage of Sally's children.
She was beteeen 12 and 14 years old when he started raping her, and Jefferson was in his forties. He freed the children that he had with her, but not Sally. Her daughter had to free her mother after Jefferson passed away.
This is not taught in schools. This side of history. We are supposed to consider the founding fathers as great men, fighting for justice and freedom, guided by God... when they are evil men. Selfish men who did nothing, save that it was for their own aggrandisement, personal benefit, and financial gain.
I would also like to add that Sally was Jefferson's dead wife's half sister. Sally's mother was raped by her owner, who was Martha (wife of Thomas) Jefferson's father.
These people left a legacy.
A legacy of entitlement under the most criminal of circumstances, and White Supremacist beliefs which pervade U.S. Society and Culture, to this very day.

Police officers shoot and kill Kid in Los Angeles: âHe ran because he was scaredâ
Andrew Heney, owner of the Freeway autoshop, told a local CBS affiliate: âWe had a security guard that was out front, because we had just had certain issues with people tagging and stuff like that.â
âAnd then the police came up, and they pulled their guns on him and he ran because he was scared, and they shot and killed him. Heâs got a clean background and everything. Thereâs no reason.â
The sheriffâs department are claiming Andres Gyuardado had a gun but the autoshop owner and witness to the shooting says thatâs absolutely not true he never carried a weapon and didnât that night.
Whatâs even worse is that right after the shooting, the Store owner said the cops immediately destroyed all the surrounding security cameras, broke into the store, stole his DVR with the recordings, and then created an illegal warrant after doing all this.Â
The shop owner also states he never called the police and doesnât understand because âThere was no reason for them to be there.â

Hello tumblr.
I know Romania isn't well known by most of you, and I know this isn't as important as what is currently happening in America, but please take a moment to learn and spread information about the current issue faced by romanian lgbtq+ people.
As a response to attempts to introduce sexual education in schools, the senate is trying to pass a law making it illegal to mention "gender identity" in academic spaces. According to this law, schools and universities alike would be banned from discussing "gender, understood as something different from biological sex".
Not only is this a bigoted law and an attempt to bring censorship in academic spaces, but it also creates issues for universities which offer master programs based on gender studies. Through this law, university programs based on gender equality or gender studies would be banned.
Press article discussing this issue (in romanian): [link]

Even if you aren't romanian, please reblog this post to spread information about this issue.
Mayan Lives Matter

Mayan Lives Matter. Indigenous Lives Matter. Justice for Domingo Choc.
Domingo Choc ChĂ© was brutally murdered on 6 June 2020 by residents of Chimay, San Luis, PetĂ©n, in Guatemala, when he was seized from his home, tortured, and burned alive for being accused of being a âwitchâ.
Domingo Choc was an Ajilonel, a master herbalist, a Mayan scientist expert in natural medicine. He was writing a book about Mayan herbal medicine in collaboration with researchers from top universities around the world.
He was also Ajqâij, a Mayan Spiritual Guide, committed to preserving and transmitting ancient knowledge about the protection of Mother Nature and her medicine, to new generations and to the world.Â
Indigenous knowledge is not witchery.
There long exists a persecution against those who practice traditional medicine and Mayan Spirituality in Guatemala. What happened to Domingo Choc is the reality that many indigenous people of Latin America continue to face, where racism against indigenous people continues to persist.

people need to stop leaving intersex people out of conversations about reproductive justice.Â
intersex people are routinely sterilized at birth, and the choice of whether or not we want to have children is taken from us before we even can reach an age where we would be ready to make that choice.Â
intersex people and their families are lied to about surgeries that have no medical benefit, because doctors are so worried about making sure that they uphold the binary system and create people who look ânormalâ instead of preserving our right to consent to what happens to our bodies.Â
intersex people are often denied access to fertility treatment, or have many barriers to accessing infertility treatment because it is believed that we will not want to have children, or that we should not want to have children.Â
yet, intersex issues are rarely, if ever, brought up in the context of reproductive rights, despite the fact that bodily autonomy and reproductive justice is a huge issue for the intersex community.Â
if youâre fighting for reproductive justice, please consider fighting for our rights to choose as well.
