Literally, nobody asked for this. I dont have an issue with the ads personally, but others do, so they still need an option to have regular, ad-free browsing. If you do not add this back, people will stop paying for membership and may even quit tumblr altogether. I may sound overly dramatic, but some people actually act like that. This is something that can kill your membership service. Stop with the mindless riffraff, and people may be obliged to stay on your platform. We are only here because "X" is a hellhole, and people are more accepting of others, unlike your staff. This isn't upgrading. This is "Hey, look, we just added features nobody needed and inflated the price like Sonic on that one art site, ain't that great?!?" No, it isn't.

TL;DR: tumblr made ANOTHER stupid and mindless decision that not one person agrees with. Sorry for yapping, but it's 1 AM, and I am sick of bad business choices.
