Elin was never the type to stay out of trouble, seeing any rules as mere suggestions. They like their powers, as they have the ability to break a very obvious rule: those who are dead stay dead. They're very positive and calm, seeing how very few things are an actual danger to them. They care a lot about those that are close to them and always return favors.

Random facts:

Cannot watch zombie movies because of how inaccurate those are. It's painful for them.

They are always incredibly friendly and cheerful with whomever they raise from the dead, no matter how hostile or even aggressive the undead is.

Good friends (and maybe more) with a time traveler, which results in some pretty funky adventures

The first thing they raised from the dead was a crow, and they have the little bird skeleton follow them around to this day.

They are banned from dinosaur museums for obvious safety reasons.

The Library

Goodness it's been a long time since I've written anything. Thank you @flashfictionfridayofficial for inspiring me with this week's prompt. I hope you enjoy the angst!

Warnings: brief mention of fire and explosions, numbness

"No. No, it can't be like this. It shouldn't-" Bella cut off with a silent sob. She sunk to the ground, the now gravel-like main road pressing tiny rocks unnoticed into her knees.

The once proud two storey library was now a mound of rubble that barely reached the top windowsills of nearby houses. Marble, romanesque pillars were tiny hills of white by the front, only their waist high foundations remaining. Charred tapestries were buried under broken bricks. Ash stirred in a gentle breeze. Stray, crumbling, unbound pages rustled, trapped under the wreckage, the only remains of the thousands of books, list in the freak explosion the remaining blaze. Another casualty lost to the chaos of the first few hours of the apocalypse.

Bella still sat, destroyed by grief, in front of the library's ruins. She gave herself two more minutes to mourn and reminisce. She couldn't afford any more, for the boys not to be let down, and for all their safety. The library had stolen hours of loneliness when she was young, silent, and friendless. It has satiated her ever burning curiosity, afternoon afternoon, week after week, month after month. It had given her so much: purpose, peace, companionship. Now it was destroyed, taking her with it. A lone tear traced a clean path down her ashy cheek.

A hand rested on her shoulder. "Come on." Zach's voice was gentle. "It's not safe to stay out in the open."

"Right." The word was hollow. She felt only empty as she rose, aided by Zach's calloused hand. Turning, she left her hopes and their sanctuary broken behind her.

The best douches are the ones that are secretly good. And voice powers are so cool!!

Character Introduction: Hyun Jin

Race: Songbird - Raven (ae/aer)

Height: 6 ft 7 (~200 cm)

Voice: Pleasant, soft, and charming. Aer voice has a lovely lilt when speaking.

Alignment: Somewhere between Neutral Good and True Neutral

Personality: Cocky. Likes to provoke people, because the more emotional they are, the easier it is for aer to use aer Voice power. Clever, but tends to run aer mouth and get in trouble because of how smug ae often is. But because of the nature of aer Raven power, Hyun tends to be smug anyway, because when it comes to it, if ae mutes someone, they won't be able to cast most spells. Ae has a good heart, and often helps people by writing simplified spells and such. It's just that all the 'Good' is hidden under several layers of 'Douchebag'.

Powers: Ae holds the Raven power Voice, which allows aer to change aer own voice to mimic someone else's, to take away someone's voice, and to give people voices ae's taken. In addition to that, ae excels at using water, ice, and wind elemental magic in both daily life and combat.

Bonus Trivia: Hyun has a partner and is the paternal parent for two one-year-olds (basically like human four-year-olds. Ravens grow up quickly).

Hi :)

I've been on writeblr for almost a month now, so I'm mildly late for an introduction post. Better late than never.

I'm Riley! However, I do go by many names so please don't be surprised if I refer to myself differently. I use they/she pronouns. It's nice to meet you :)

I write somewhere between romance, LGBTQ+, fantasy, and horror. But I'm a heavy procrastinator, thanks ADHD, and tend to take long breaks from writing. Which is why I started this account, for accountability.

On a similar note, I'm also autistic. My main special interests lie in mental illness and history. (Please ask me about them, it would make me incredibly happy)

On here I post things relating to my WIP (I'm not comfortable sharing my writing yet), my OCs, I reblog writing advice as well, but there's the odd neurodivergent post you may find.

Oddly, I'm taking maths and psychology A-Level, which is not creative or remotely related to writing (But essays are fun though!). I'm also, I feel unsurprisingly by now, queer.

Character Introduction: Jini Yoo

I guess Jini is special too.

Look at this douchebag (affectionate).

Race: Demon (he/him)

Age: Who knows? (As old as time)

Height: 5 ft 7 (170 cm)

Bonus Description: Jini actually has one, big blue eye, but for the sake of not terrifying humans, he makes it so that he looks like he has two eyes instead.

Voice: Tired and uninterested most of the time, but can be quite pleasant if he put in effort (spoiler alert: he doesn’t).

Alignment: True Neutral.

Personality: Besides magic spells and books, Jini doesn't care much for anything else. He's seems tired with everything most of the time, but can be very capable when he needs to be. He doesn't like conversations, but enjoys listening in on other's conversations. Stands and watches as Sunwoo kills people or ruins their lives on a whim.

Powers: Time travel and raw magic. Any other powers he had (fire, telekinesis, teleportation, an ability he calls 'Reset’) were given to Sunwoo in a deal. He can use them if Sunwoo allows him to.

Bonus Trivia: Jini can exist in multiple instances at the same time and at different times, and his actions in the past don't change anything in the world, because the in the present, they've already been done. His family name, Yoo, is just a name that he uses in daily life, but he doesn't actually have a family.
