Personality: an anxious, over protective introvert who loves skateboarding and music. He values his alone time and will scorn anyone who ruins it for him unless that person is Matt. He plays guitar and bass and he has a calming singing voice, although he’s self conscious about it :)

Backstory: grew up in the city as an only child, just him and his mom after his father left him when he was eight years old. Became very close to his childhood friend Darren until the day Shaun chose Nate over Darren as leader of the faction.

Personality: An energetic, bubbly, very affectionate nerd who doesn’t know when to quit. Buries herself in fiction, sarcasm, and jokes to avoid dealing with her past and present trauma

Backstory: grew up in Philadelphia with a human and paragon parent and her sister, Sky. Father taught her everything she knows about paragon behind her mother’s back. Got along extremely well with her mother, which made leaving her after a tragic incident even more heartbreaking.

Nickname(s): Kay (everyone), Pikachu (given to her by Reese as payback for all her pop culture names)

Bella: As a fellow Ravenclaw, she appreciates her love for reading and would love to spend hours talking about books. She thinks Lynn could stand to be a little more out there and not just stay in the background with a book, because even though she spent most of her time like that, she's been so much happier spending time with people. And ace spec solidarity!

Freddie: Her intelligence is commendable, but she's a little too much of a doormat for his tastes. He can sympathize with her, however, having spent a little less that half of his life without parents, since he doesn't really count his foster parents despite all they've done for him.

Zach: Yet another person he struggles to relate to. She's... okay for him. She's nice, and he doesn't feel defensive around her, which is always a plus. He'd probably try to read a book or two to have something to talk about her with, and he might succeed with those one or two books, but his capacity to remain quiet is very low.

day five: lynn

introducing lynn! there are very few braincells in this group, but she can always be counted on to possess both an academic and a creative one! maybe not a social interaction brain cell though. when lynn was a kid, her parents died in a car crash and she was sent to an orphanage. lynn never really connected with the kids her age, so she retreated into all the books she could find. lynn loves writing and creating new worlds in her head, and that doesn’t change when she makes friends at the boarding school.

Bella: Tora's enthusiasm is quite overwhelming, so she's a little quieter than normal around her since Tora fills silence very effectively. Her lack of control is a little grating for Bella, since she tends to be more focus oriented rather than using force and power. She feels bad for Tora's relationship with her brother, since she knows how great it is to have a healthy relationship with siblings.

Freddie: She is way too rambunctious, outspoken, rough and "unintelligent" for his tastes. Out of the entire group, she's probably the person he'd like to spend the least time with. He's a little resentful over the fact that she has supportive parents (though before meeting Vi and Aster, he didn't really know about that) The only redeeming quality he sees in her is her raw power, something he's secretly envious of in interactions in AUs where they both retain their powers

Zach: Tora and Zach match each other's chaotic energies so well. He, Tora and his cousin Ethan (who serves as the braincell of the group, though it's not very effective) are the chaos trio, who, whenever together create all sorts of shenanigans and mess. He loves her free spirit and knows he can be his true self around her, since she doesn't judge and is very open about her feelings. In basically every crossover AU we have, they're pretty much inseparable and ruin any semblance of peace the group has.

day six: tora

presenting tora! she is fiery and chaotic; her thoughts race around, never settling on one thing. she’s loyal and protective, a friend to the end. tora loves her friends and believes in platonic love with all her heart. growing up, tora was extremely closer to her brother, but he resented her a bit, as her powers are extremely strong. tora doesn’t think before acting at times, so she’s been in a couple of fights. she loves walking around nature and likes to take pictures.

Personality: A down to earth, level headed, sports nerd who loves nature and staying active. Uses workouts, sports, and training to avoid dealing with her past and present trauma

Backstory: grew up in Philadelphia with a human and paragon parent and her sister, Kay. Father taught her everything she knows about paragon behind her mother’s back. Got along extremely well with her father, which made leaving her home after his death absolutely devastating.

Nickname(s): Sky (everyone), Dr. Doom (given to her by Kay), Sky Rocket (given to her by her dad)

We stan one (1) traumatized shadow girl

Zach: Before her character arc, he struggles to be nice around her. Her attitude reminds him of every kid that bullied him in elementary school - aloof and hateful. The only redeemable thing about her is her family situation. Since she was raised by her uncle, she doesn't know much better, which gives him a little hope for her future if she spends more time around kinder people. Unfortunately, he probably won't be those people, at least in the beginning; eventually, they might bond, but she has to become a more empathetic person first.

Bella: Like Zach, before her character arc, Dawn is on thin ice with Bella. She'll treat Dawn coolly and won't be outright rude, but it'll take a lot for Dawn to redeem herself. However, her social skills are impressive to Bella, who has to work painfully hard to stay afloat in high school politics. Though in saying that, she's often confused by Dawn's chameleon-esque personality when seeing her interact with different people.

Freddie: Dawn is his favorite person in the entire group. She has good taste, understands that some people are just inferior. However, she is a little cold, and he's intimidated by her age and temperament - he'd like to befriend an ally, but she also has social experience he doesn't. But any fear he has in regards to her comes from a place of respect, which is more than can be said of anyone else of either group.

day seven: dawn

last, but certainly not least, is dawn! although she keeps herself apart from the main group, she is connected to them through nyx, her cousin. dawn is the daughter of aunt jetta, but is closer to her uncle, nero, who treated her as his heir- until nyx showed up. then, dawn felt like an afterthought in her own family, as everyone’s attention seemed focused on nyx. the Institute of Briarwood gives her a chance to prove herself, and she’s determined to take it.

Afterwards she was taken in by a human family that did not accept paragon. Nic was able to keep her race a secret since she hadn't turned 18 yet, but she lived in fear for years...

Personality: a funny, caring, extremely affectionate extravert who loves music, travelling, reading, and nature. Knows how to cheer everyone up like it’s his job and is constantly singing weird songs he made up on the spot. Just an absolute joy to have around.

Backstory: Born in Argentina, moved to Austin, Texas at the age of two. Grew up in the Texas suburbs with his paragon parents and older brother. Learned quickly and cruelly that humans do not accept paragon which led him and his brother to join the Knaves right out of high school. A careless plan that ended with Matt injured and his brother dead convinced him that maybe it was time to switch sides.

—synopsis

Jonah ‘Spit’ Doe, a student in a not-so prestigious academy for mutants, is exactly that; a mutant. Faced with discrimination for his abilities, which include his corrosive saliva and subsequent regenerative power, he’s been seen as a freak among nature. He lives up to his title, though, and has garnered quite the reputation for himself for his poor habits of picking fights, causing public unrest amongst the school, and melting school property with his spit. Spit, as he likes to be called, also holds certain beliefs that rival that of the purpose of the school; to create an army of super-powered soldiers from mere children. Spit refuses to become a dog of the military, and he lets this be known. He’s a terror on school grounds.

Now, enter Coda Redd, another student and prodigy of the school. Hand-picked by the Principal herself for his power, endurance, patience, and prestige, Coda is everything Spit stands against. Everything that Spit isn’t and refuses to become. When Coda is assigned to babysit Spit, however, as a special project from the Principal herself, will the two be able to stomach each other?

Sprinkle in bits of corruption, rebellion, and romance and you’ll have yourself their story. A story for believers, for those who hold hope for the greater good.

I am once again expressing great love over the characters we share. Vera is fantastic, as a person and a sister

vera

she is an extremely protective person. vera doesn’t open up much to many people, but she would do anything for her sister (who wouldn’t?) and for the girl she falls in love with. vera dates for a sweet, slightly dramatic girl named madelyn, who works in a flower store and gave her a few plants one day. (“I can’t promise I’ll keep them alive,” vera lied. those little plants mean so much to her. she would never let anything happen to them.)

because fera absorbed some of her power before they were born, vera is a relatively weak empath that can sense positive emotions and can slightly improve people’s moods sometimes, but using her power drains her easily. however, fera is usually the one who needs more support because she becomes easily overwhelmed, so vera helps her sister deal with everything.

welcome madelyn to the fusion au! she is sweet, slightly shy yet enthusiastic, and a bit dramatic around the people she trusts and loves. she’s hard of hearing, but she still loves music and singing. since her power allows her to make plants grow with her voice, madelyn works in a flower store, and, since she works at a flower store, she brings home pretty flowers for free to decorate her bedroom and the small apartment she shares with her dad. her dad is very loving- they paint each other’s nails all the time and have movie nights every weekend. madelyn’s mother left the family when she found out madelyn had hearing issues, so her dad raised her alone.

she and vera are dating. although madelyn is french, she doesn’t know much of the language, so her girlfriend writes her love notes soley so madelyn has a reason to learn. vera loves learning different languages, and so she had a basic idea of american sign language before meeting madelyn, but she becomes a master pretty quickly for her girlfriend. madelyn dreams of being an actress or a singer one day.

Character Introduction: Sunwoo Song

Sunwoo gets two picrews because ae's special (I like both picrews so much).

Race: Songbird - Raven (ae/aer)

Age: 10,000 years and counting (has the body of a 14-year-old Raven, which is an old ‘young adult’ age).

Height: 6 ft 5 (~195 cm)

Voice: Pleasant and soft. Has something very musical about it.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Personality: Fickle. If ae likes someone enough, ae'll be kind and gentle and considerate. When provoked, ae won't hesitate to harm or even kill. Quite sensitive when it comes to music. Sadistic with people who provoke aer. Often doesn’t care about what people are, what they believe, etc. Ae doesn’t care about anything that doesn’t directly involve aer or someone ae does care about (so Ahn, Min, aer birds, Jini, and Sujin. Everyone else is on thin fucking ice). Will try to not hurt people, but if tempted enough, ae won't stop aerself.

Powers (ramble alert):

Possesses an insane amount of raw magic that ae’s acquired over the years, and specializes in casting spells as songs and musical pieces.

Is the current (and last) holder of the Raven power known as Deal, which allows aer to fulfill certain conditions using aer raw magic, provided that both sides of the deal agree on the conditions stated (I'll make a post on Raven powers in the future, I promise).

Some time after aer maternal parent's death, Sunwoo made a deal with the immortal guardian of the White Mountain Lake, where the guardian gave Sunwoo all their powers and abilities in exchange for Sunwoo's mortality. Those abilities include 1) aer voice always being pleasant to the ear, 2) aer magic being undetectable unless ae wants it to be, 3) the ability to hear ghosts and phantoms, 4) the ability to spit poison if ae wants, and 5) a fuck ton of magic potential. The sudden acquirement of these powers damaged Sunwoo's ability to reproduce, and causes spells cast on aer to be fickle and unstable. While this often protects aer from malicious spells cast by other people, it makes it incredibly difficult to maintain useful spells and manage their side effects.

Bonus Trivia: Sunwoo has had a piano 3000 years before it was invented; it was a gift from Jini, who thought Sunwoo would like its sound (and that Sunwoo would stop being a fucking menace who drags him into aer problems).

Voice: Bright and gentle. Expresses aer emotions pretty well. (When ae has it. Ae’s often voiceless.)

Alignment: Somewhere between True Neutral and Chaotic Neutral.

Personality: Confident, friendly, and sometimes very stubborn. Lives for the fun and the thrill of experiencing things. Ae’s the kind of person who turns everything into a competition, not because ae takes aerself too seriously, but because ae enjoys competing. Very defensive about aer albinism and aer abilities. Unconcerned with whatever doesn't involve aer directly. Uses aer Memory power to get out of situations ae doesn't want to deal with. Has sadistic tendencies that surface when ae's angry, especially towards people ae dislikes (as in would put memories of trauma in their memories).

Powers: Ahn has very potent raw magic, and is exceptional at harnessing elemental magic as well. Ae’s the current (and last) holder Raven power known as memory, which allows aer to record memories in a form that allows them to be experienced like the original owner did. Ae can also manipulate a person’s memories (alter, erase, insert, etc), but ae can’t use it on aerself.

Bonus Trivia: Besides having an exceptional memory that forgets nothing, Ahn can also be very quiet when ae wants to. Ae sneaks around very easily, and goes unnoticed by people despite aer size.

Alignment: True Neutral.

Personality: Besides magic spells and books, Jini doesn't care much for anything else. He's seems tired with everything most of the time, but can be very capable when he needs to be. He doesn't like conversations, but enjoys listening in on other's conversations. Stands and watches as Sunwoo kills people or ruins their lives on a whim.

Powers: Time travel and raw magic. Any other powers he had (fire, telekinesis, teleportation, an ability he calls 'Reset’) were given to Sunwoo in a deal. He can use them if Sunwoo allows him to.

Bonus Trivia: Jini can exist in multiple instances at the same time and at different times, and his actions in the past don't change anything in the world, because the in the present, they've already been done. His family name, Yoo, is just a name that he uses in daily life, but he doesn't actually have a family.

Behold, the other douchebag! Ae's also special (read: the second picrew captures aer energy.)

Race: Songbird - Raven (ae/aer)

Age: 10

Height: 6 ft 7 (~200 cm)

Voice: Pleasant, soft, and charming. Aer voice has a lovely lilt when speaking.

Alignment: Somewhere between Neutral Good and True Neutral

Personality: Cocky. Likes to provoke people, because the more emotional they are, the easier it is for aer to use aer Voice power. Clever, but tends to run aer mouth and get in trouble because of how smug ae often is. But because of the nature of aer Raven power, Hyun tends to be smug anyway, because when it comes to it, if ae mutes someone, they won't be able to cast most spells. Ae has a good heart, and often helps people by writing simplified spells and such. It's just that all the 'Good' is hidden under several layers of 'Douchebag'.

Powers: Ae holds the Raven power Voice, which allows aer to change aer own voice to mimic someone else's, to take away someone's voice, and to give people voices ae's taken. In addition to that, ae excels at using water, ice, and wind elemental magic in both daily life and combat.

Bonus Trivia: Hyun has a partner and is the paternal parent for two one-year-olds (basically like human four-year-olds. Ravens grow up quickly).

A charming and rebellious intergalactic thief, Jack is currently the most wanted man in all of the Junction planetary systems. Using heists as a tool to stand up against their galaxy's oppressive government, he has gained quite a reputation. Otherwise, Jack is a caring older brother and a good friend, someone who would do anything to keep his loved ones out of harm's way, even if it means endangering himself.

Appearance - Jack has bright auburn hair styled into an asymmetrical bob with an undercut. His skin is warm white, and he has a small scar on the bridge of his nose from a gunfire that nicked him. He has average height - around 173 cm tall - and a lithe, but athletic, build. His eyes are dark brown and he has a kind smile. Usually, he wears practical clothes - his usual attire consists of a simple T-shirt, a synthetic leather pilot jacket, cargo pants, and boots. The deadliest sniper in the entire galaxy, Deimos was Jack and Cassie's first crew member and their adoptive brother, who grew up with the duo in the ruthless streets of Cethea III. He grew estranged from his siblings a couple of years before the main story, and eventually left the crew to pursue a solo career as a sniper and work more actively to aid the rebellion efforts against the Junction - as of the beginning of the main plot, he and his siblings are unexpectedly reunited and must begrudgingly work together once more in what quite possibly is the deadliest heist of their lives. And much to their surprise, rekindle the bond they once had as a trio.

Pronouns - He/Him Age - 26 Current Role - Narrative Foil to Jack & is also a Deuteragonist Appearance - Deimos has long, dark blue hair which he usually keeps tied into a neat bun or ponytail. He is incredibly tall when compared to his human peers, standing at around 7ft or 213cm. He is very lanky and thin, not having much in the matter of sheer strength, which he compensates with his remarkable speed and agility. His style is usually impeccable, the space-version of casual chic for sure. His go-to attire is a (literally) bullet-proof white robe with white pants, a charcoal black hooded cloak, and leather boots (I showcased his outfit in this tag, as well as the outfits of some other members of the crew).

A ruthless mercenary and occasional assassin who specializes in poisons and deadly chemicals, Kye starts out as the most morally grey character in the crew, an antihero who isn't afraid to do terrible things or be downright evil to get what he wants. Haunted by his brutal past, Kye has become quite unpredictable and sometimes harsh to others, even when he doesn't want to be. Kye also often resorts to deceit and manipulation to take down his enemies, an prefers to find smart and creative solutions rather than trying to face problems head-on or through sheer strength. He was a childhood acquaintance/friend of Artemis, but the two have long since become rivals due to an incident in their shared past that has been left unresolved.

He is thin and lanky, as well as rather tall, standing at 6ft or around 182cm. His eyes are an icy cyan or light blue hue, and he has a very sharp gaze. His outfit usually consists of a black long-sleeved shirt, a dark grey or black jacket or overcoat, grey pants, and polished black leather combat boots - he also always wears gloves, usually either stark white or pitch black.
