We're totally going to do that at some point. Totally, definitely won't take forever.

@pagesofcursive totally Juni and Nyx

I also have an oc in V/H's au, who is the embodiment of sunshine but has a power that is very raincloud esque with a twin who is a stoic raincloud and a new girlfriend who's very down to earth

Oh, to be a stoic raincloud of a character who meets and is immediately put off and intimidated by the human embodiment of sunlight and energy. To be a person who is closed off and a little unkind and guarded due to the way life has treated me, but still having the sunlight person gently prying at the cracks in my wall. To realize that the sunlight person likes me for my calming presence and levelheadedness and that just the way I am is enough for them.

I wish to begin something here: my favourite flavour of angst moments. Whenever I'm struck by a tragic moment, I'll record it here. So enjoy that! For as long as it might last.

Tonight's is any form of separation of the QPR*, Tora and her QPP**. I have written about it before, to some degree, but tonight it's just striking me. Take that as you will

*quasiplatonic relationship. If you don't know about that, feel free to ask me! I'll try to educate

**quasiplatonic partner

Oh, and hey @pagesofcursive this has one of your babis, so you might be interested

I can confirm that he gets stuck more often now that he's older.

For example, he stays at his grandparents' place over the summer with his cousin, Ethan. I believe I've mentioned their treehouse before. Halfway up, within reach of the ladder, there's a knot that the boys drilled into one summer that they filled with trinkets. They forgot about it one summer, and the next they attempted to get it out. I say attempted because Zach got his arm stuck, having underestimated how much he grew, and was handing almost elbow deep into the tree with one foot on the rope ladder and the other dangling helplessly for almost 2 hours.

Another time he was playing soccer with some friends and the ball rolled into an abandoned rabbit hole. It was too deep for his arm, so he tried to get it with his foot, which once again led to him getting stuck. It took 10 minutes for his friends to find him, and a good hour for the fire department to finally take the teen boys seriously enough to come.

Character Question 11

What sense do they most rely on?

Bella: sight. She has very good vision, surprisingly enough seeing as she does intense programming and wiring sessions. She did make special glasses for magnification so that probably helps. Good vision also means she can see the minuscule movements of finely tuned machines! And she has stellar hand-eye coordination.

Freddie: hearing. He wears glasses, so sight is pretty much out of the question. Sometimes experiments don't visually change but there is bubbling that's rarely heard by anyone but him.

Zach: touch. There is nothing like a lap in a cold pool or dribbling a basketball. It's relaxing for him. As a kid he often stuck his arms in dark holes to see what was inside (he still does it, just not as often) He's also great at gaging air resistance, oddly enough since he isn't skilled academically. It was a matter of practice. When he's pitching or spiking, a few almost throws of the ball will almost guarantee a perfect throw.

Character Question 20

What is their most treasured possession?

Bella: her tool belt, for sure. It had the things she needs for any tinkering. She can also create basic projects with it (as long as she has access to solid materials, like a steel bar and laser cutter to shape it). If she had to choose one thing from the belt, it would be her souped-up USB stick. It fits 3 times as much as the largest commercially available one. It has the base programming for her best projects and lots of photos of her family.

Freddie: he has a notebook he takes everywhere with him that he writes down equations in. It was the last birthday gift he got from his parents (before they left they had a present set aside for him 2 years into their trip) and he carries it everywhere with him.

Zach: when he was seven, his father gave him an old badge. He carries it almost everywhere and hides it under his collar whenever he can. It means the world to him and he can't wait to earn his own.

Character Question 21

How do they deal with stress?

Bella: She'll read and read and read. She loves it and it's a perfect distraction. However, she also tends to repress, but she has less control. She won't have any outbursts, but she'll be quieter than usual and may swallow sobs during an intense conversation or if she's tired. She'll pause more frequently, but her voice won't crack, her words won't waver. Very few people can tell when she's stressed, and it takes a lot to coax it out of her and to sort through the issues.

Freddie: He will make and experiment to distract himself. He might come out of his lab with scorched eyebrows and blue fingertips, it wouldn't be surprising. You've seen this done before - when he heard Zach was coming, he immediately went to work on Cap's shield.

Zach: He'll practice whatever sport he's focusing on at that point. He will do it until his fingers are bloody and he's almost worn through his shoes unless the stress stops. He also loses control more often - he feels obligated to be cheerful, so he tries to repress the negativity, leading to bigger outbursts.
