Apollo Kid Headcanons

we all love warmth, like cats

we lay on sidewalks during the summer because w a r m t h

when the sun hits our eyes, they become 10x more beautiful

it’s not uncommon to have the nickname ‘Sunny’ or ‘sunshine’

we get cold very easily

somehow our core is always really warm

we give the best hugs

usually theatre/choir/band/dance kids

preforming arts,,,

THEATRE WARMUPS

constant singing

in the morning, we’re awake before the other cabins

if we don’t all listen to music together, we usually have our headphones in

whoever is in the showers first gets to pick what we listen to

not all of us are always happy

in fact most of us suffer from some sort of mental illness

it’s not uncommon to have synesthesia

MUSICAL NIGHTS

we make friendship bracelets for each other

when artemis and hunters visit, apollo’s cabin and aphrodite’s cabin try to serenade them

the cabin is always chaotic

“I’m trying to study… can you PLEASE play your instruments somewhere else?”

we either can stand the sun for a long amount of time (no sunburns, either no tan or VERY tan)

or we get burnt to a CRISP

either awake right at sunrise or sleeping until 2 pm

most of us love holding hands and giving/receiving hugs

since our core is always warm, but we also get cold easy, it’s not unheard of to find 2+ apollo kids snuggling one another.

there are several night lights in the cabin, since most of us hate the dark

the infirmary is… so chaotic

since we have our dad’s gift of archery, we all have great aim.

we just…. throw medical supplies to one another from across the room.

one time a ukulele got involved

we either have fantastic aim

or no aim at all

constant singing coming from the infirmary

most of the other campers find it calming, since we all harmonize naturally

our voices blend together naturally as well

we often wake the cabins directly to the left and right of us because of singing in the morning

at least a third of us is emo or something

black attracts sunlight

makes us feel at home

has a slytherin/hufflepuff love/hate relationship with the ares kids

we try to serenade them too,,,,, it usually doesn’t go well

PUPPY DOG EYES ARE CONSTANTLY USED TO GET WHAT WE WANT

it’s very hard to be in a bad mood around the apollo kids

especially when they tilt their head and smile

like c’mon our smiles light up a room

probably introverted, but if you get to know us we’re the life of the party

zones out easily

often caught staring directly into the sun

either gets sleepy right at sundown or is up until 6 am

either very tall or very short

the taller you are the closer you are to the sun

gets hot easy too,,,, we go back and forth between freezing and burning to death

everyone thinks we’re the purest beings on the planet but OHOHO are they wrong

*suggestive comment*

“really??? in front of my salad?”

can pull arrows/bows/medical supplies/instruments from their asses

“NO, GEORGE YOU CANNOT PREFORM A BALAD TO THE APHRODITE KIDS RIGHT NOW. WE’RE EATING”

*pulls an entire guitar from behind back* “Watch me”

Thank you for addressing Will’s trauma. Will has been a healer since he was at the oldest, 12, possibly older. Including during The Battle of Manhattan and the Blood of Olympus. He has watched many people die. I really hope that Rick addresses this in the Solangelo book.

“I’ve been seeing more than a hundred patients- campers, friends- die in front of my eyes because I wasn’t able to save them; I’ve encountered so many dead bodies, the few hours of sleep I get are haunted by the faces of dead people and nightmares of drowning in dead bodies. So many of my siblings and friends are dead, and I’m struggling with every second. I’m completely drained, and I’ve seen so many people die that I’ve run out of tears. It didn’t occur to you that maybe a visit from someone who wasn’t dead or severely injured would do at least a little bit to make me feel better? Maybe a small acknowledgement of my existence? Don’t you think I’d like seeing someone who wasn’t in immediate need of medical attention? Of course you didn’t.”

I am not taking any arguments against this, there’s no way someone who’s been stuck in the infirmary, treating over a hundred people on the brink of death– a lot of them dead because he couldn’t save them– can be that chill on the inside.

OK everyone shut up I just had an idea

So you know @saraiisstanky ‘Nico di Angelo is a son of Aphrodite not Hades’ au. Yeah well I just had a thought that but with Persephone. For those of you who somehow I don’t know Persephone is Hades wife in greek mythology. So imagine Nico and Bianca are children of Persephone instead. Bianca being the more spring and nature part of her. And Nico the more queen of the underworld part of Persephone. So he still has all the summoning the dead and shadow travel stuff(also in no small part thanks to Hades liking his step-son).

And Nico is in the Hades cabin because there’s no Persephone cabin(and taking from the canon Hades wants his life to be easy)

I just thought it would be fun. Just the small idea that when Nico is excited flowers start sprouting and other small things, and everyone just thinks oh because Persephone is his STEP-MOM and likes him not the other way around for Hades and Persephone
