Yeah. I think it doesn't make any accurate sense... It's just Kit is the male heritage of the family that's why CC give him the power... And what so ever there is some discontinue in Tobias Herondale's family line..(and sorry for writing wrong name of William and Tobias father... There is no name provided to him and Will means Tobias borther Willam in my above reply).And CC also says that this curse pass from 1200's ancestors of herondale so it's possible down to William and Tobias father... But again why it's doesn't pass to lightwods and i think that why it doesn't make any accurate sense because Lucie also see ghost and Cecily doesn't..

I am agree with you because Lucie see ghost because of demon blood and might be Rosemary and Kit see ghost because of being first heir... And not because of herondale blood... But again if it was because of first heir , why Kit start seeing ghost after he gets runes... And some point in tda it's given that some herondale start seeing ghost after getting runes but if Kit have power of seeing ghost because of being first heir and it's not doesn't do anything because of herondale blood then why only he see ghost after getting runes..And also in wiki page it's written that Kit innate Herondale ability to see ghost not because of First heir.

If seeing ghosts is a curse passed down through the male generations of the Herondales, why was Kit able to see this inherited from his mother? and why don't the Lightwoods, Cecily Herondale's children see it?

Cassandra may say that the reason Kit sees it is because of her fairy heritage.

And not only judging by looks but her card says "Advice"... she is must be a great advisor for our TWP gang.... I literally got Alec and Jace vibes from Thais and Dru... Thais must be like Alec, responsible and following rules.... And our Dru must be like Jace, charismatic and rule breaker..

Well, the problem with super super super powerful characters is that nothing is really much of a threat to them. You see it in superhero movies where the more the hero powers up, the more his opponent has to be like, THE GALAXY PERSONIFIED. Also it makes the small conflicts of daily life a bit silly, like if you have the power of a god, you don't spend much time worrying about catching the bus.

Not that I want to write a book about Kit being worried about catching the bus. I do like characters with power! — often because what will always remain a challenge to them is other people. Love, friendship, those always remain issues they don't have power over and can't control. Which is fun!

I suppose all that is to say Kit may well be very powerful. But he will also need to be clever, and also need to work with others as a team, if he wants to defeat the fairly enormous evil they have to face in TWP.

And yes, there are always consequences to necromancy!
