I know right ??? It makes me so sad, bc he has proven to have the skills to do it, but nooooo. Like, as a woman reading these comics, ...why ? Do you need them to look like that to tell your story ? No ? Then why do you do it ??? Do you really think men won't read your stories if they can't also jerk off to the female protagonists ??? Bro as a bisexual, I assure you I'm not reading thoses books to jerk off to the male characters (or the female characters)(even tho im a furry, like : im in it for the plot, that seems fucking easy to comprehend but apparently no ?) so I sure as hell know men aren't in it of the sexual aspect either. (or at least they shouldn't)

And worse, the """beautiful""" women clash so much with the overall art choices in blacksad. Like many say, they look uncanny, and ironically, I, in consequence, find them ugly as hell. They look so wrong it's frankly ridiculous. They look like human women cosplaying as animals for god sake. Why did you feel the need to objectify women so HARD that they dont even look like they're from the same universe as the men in Blacksad ? Its a comic noir about crime solving, its not porn, stop it.

Like look at her and tell me she's not BEAUTIFUL. The first time I red the issue of Blacksad centered around her it was like a breath of fresh air. She's GORGEOUS and Makes.Sense. Her name is Iris Allen btw

But also, she's a old actress so in Guarnido's eyes she's not desirable anymore hence why she's not drawn weirdly. Like..., im happy I got one whole issue with a lead normal-looking female-character in blacksad, but I also know its bc she's ""ugly""...wich is ironic bc she's one of the most beautiful women in the universe of the comics.

Juanjo Guarnido is clearly capable of drawing anthro women as actual animals but only when they aren't supposed to be attractive, which makes it all the more frustrating that the biggest issue with the style could've been avoided if Gaurnido wasn't as misogynist or at least if he was a furry
