This series seems to be taking on a life of its own now … I’m thinking of giving Mrs Hudson and her pals a blog of their own; what do you think?

Super quick sketch. My nephew and niece are basically adorable. Nephew's favourite thing in life is sharing ALL OF THE TOYS - chief among which, obviously, is Rubber Duck.
A rubber duck is for life, not just for bathtime.
Lesson learned: babies are hard to draw - at least, they are if you don't just want them to be blobs with faces. But squishy baby toes are SQUEEEEEEEEEE.
Watch this space...
Another exciting instalment of the Adventures of Mrs Hudson lands this evening!

It had been a really bad week at the office.
(Lesson learned: hands are hard.)

Well, my dashboard’s looking a lot cheerier since posting the last installment of Mrs Hudson’s adventures! I’m not sure where you’ve all popped up from, but it’s terribly nice to have you around.
I went back to work yesterday, but was sent home for still being gross and icky… So, it’s back under the duvet and back on with the Granada Holmes boxset.
Herein lies part three of Mrs Hudson’s adventures, in which Holmes doesn’t want to tidy his room.

There's not much new in my sketchbook this week, mostly because I have taken on another hair-brained scheme.
A good friend asked the Chap and I to sing Bring Me Sunshine as their first dance at their wedding. Now, I've not performed in quite a few years now so, in an attempt to alleviate my near-crippling stage fright, my uncle suggested putting the lyrics on A3 cards so that all the guests could join in (hopefully drowning me out). Great idea, thinks me - but what would be even better would be if I illustrated the lyrics, yeah, let's do that! And now I've committed myself, apropos of almost nothing, to illustrate the whole song. Each card will be shown for about, oh, five seconds at most. Yay!
This is what I've got so far ... there's still a whole other verse about rainbows and sunbeams to go. Phew.
