A couple new photos of my panther mask.

Progress shots of making a Lucario costume, my most recent big project. First up, the mask!

As per usual, I designed it in 3D in Rhino, laid out all the pieces, and cut it with my laser cutter. I decided to stitch this mask together, so I included all the holes for the thread when laser cutting it.

Next was to dye it, and start on the process of sewing it all together by hand. At each step I soak the new pieces in water to make them flexible, and sculpt it to shape as I’m doing the stitching. When the leather dries, it stiffens up again. Last step is putting a finish coat on it--here I used a glossy clear coat. The ears had to wait until the main mask had gotten the finish coat.

Drone dragon visor and armor.

This breastplate was the big personal project I got finished up before last Halloween, but in the rush of prep for conventions in Jan-Feb I forgot to post it.

I had a lot of fun building it. I designed and pulled the pattern off of a duct tape dummy of myself, so it fits me very specifically. (Process shots here.) With the rigidity of the leather and the fit of the design, it basically acts like a corset.

Other photos of the visor can be found here, and it’s up for sale on my Etsy (either this one or custom colors), but the torso will stay a personal piece. I don’t currently have the torso forms that would be necessary to make stuff that is quite this carefully fitted. I still do want to try to work out a reasonable corset design though.

New wolf muzzle mask design! Really aiming hard at the uncanny valley between “hey that’s a cool semi-realistic design!” and “wait is that kink gear?”

I did this one in a subtle gradient of brown and gray, with a shiny black nose. I’m looking forward to doing more in funky colors, so hit me up if you want that.

No filters embedded in it, but it fits really nicely over a fabric or disposable mask.

I’m really happy with the fit on this one, I think it’s the most successful I’ve done in terms of fitting around the nose and eye area. It barely even actually rests on the neck or jaw, so it’s making me think that I might be able to use the base geometry to try another moving jaw muzzle. 🤔

4-5 oz vegetable tanned leather, designed in Rhino, cut with a laser cutter, then formed, assembled, dyed and finished by hand. Mostly assembled with nickel-plated rivets, with some waxed linen thread stitching at the tip of the snout. The straps for this photo shoot are provisional, I’ll update it with straps dyed to match the mask in a couple days.

I'm slowly re-organizing the jewelry portion of my Etsy shop, combining the thin and wide versions of these sorts of bracelets into the same listings. Already did bronze and rainbow, next up is probably blackened steel.

(I'd previously combined the thin ones all into one listing and you chose the metal as an option, but I found that most of the sales were from the individual posts for wide bracelets of specific metals, so apparently that organization scheme was confusing to people.)
