Days 2 & 3: Suit/Vessel

Wonder Woman’s armor is invisible like her jet.

My Will Vandom design. Armor, element embroidery, flowy fabric.
If I was a Necromancer
I think if I was a necromancer, I would go to museums and fossil yards and things like that, and bring extinct life back to the world of the living. I am fascinated by skeletons and bones from creatures who breathed and lived aeons in the past. It’s so majestic and formiddable in a way I can’t really explain. Could you imagine seeing these things, gorgeous and vibrant and primordial, alive and whole like you are right now?
As a necromancer, I’d wear obsidian and fossilized plating, cloaked in rich black, white, gold, and red fabric. Necklaces of elegantly carved amber with preserved ammonites, raptorial claws from Dakotaraptor or Velociraptor on my greaves and gauntleted fingers, mammoth fur heavy-duty pack on my back. An ornately carved and patterned primeval skull helm, with rich and striking colors, thorny pieces.
Bubo and Minerva have tons of armor sets/shells. Violet has three and Cynthia and Tripore have one lol (tho for titans this kinda makes sense lore wise).
Val: Orli I can explain-
Orli: You get 5 outfits while I only get 3?!
Koa: 3? I’m only getting 1!
Aleena *still wearing her risen armor: You guys have outfits?

Since people seem to like my pride outfit!

“ ♠️ OC in their armor (or in some sort of fantasy armor if not applicable to their story)” [X]

This was a lot of fun to design!

Kibelius Divinus #1 The Cursed Sword
My take on my friends character from Black Desert Online :D I wish he likes it too because he came out great in my humble opinion xD Will definitely use him for more renders more :>
So the story behind it is that the mighty warrior found and ancient weapon that grands great power, however it appears to be cursed - wave of pleasure shoots through his body on the slightest touch of the handle. His cock gets rock hard within a second, while his fingers involuntary squeeze the hilt even harder. Is this really a curse tho? ;p I’m evil I know xD

Procrastinating…. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ with D&D fashion doodles.
New ‘found’ outfits (pried from the cold dead bodies of royal guards) for the Druid, Bard, Wizard and my Rogue. Customized in the city to fit their personalities (originally the studded leather was green/white, with a hare motif). I am not sure if the other players had a different look in mind…we’ll see.
…But at least I added sparkles. Just to make the Paladin jealous.
Okay! Back to business :3

Well hellooo! New commission finished!
Kyle, the Dungeon Master of the group, commissioned this piece for his adventurers as a parting gift. He wanted the real life people portrayed in their character’s get-up and acting in character. Designing the costumes and getting their expressions juuuust right was a lot of fun! So I’ve added some detail shots as well.
Left to right (clockwise): Giro: water Genasi and a cleric of Vogan. A quiet fellow with a troubled past / Durbin: human monk and drunken master. Never found without a drink in his hands / Shadow: an Arakorka Rogue. A sinister guy. Likely not to be trusted / Volanir: a Human noble warlock. Finds himself quite the leader. Has a logical mind and calm disposition. / Marcus: Human Cleric of the god of society. Annoys Volanir to no end with his proper and social ways / Pierce: a human bard who enjoys attention. ‘Go big, or go home’ attitude. / and Kyle: the DM, their evil overlord :)

Leelee Sobieski from Uwe Boll’s quite-probably-awful Dungeon Siege movie, In the Name of the King.
The Color of Armor
The ever present image of the knight in popular imagination is the mounted warrior in shining armor. If you've followed this blog for any length of time, you may know that I'm fond of taking popular misconceptions of the middle ages and dashing them to the ground, however you can rest assured that this particular trope isn't inaccurate. Not entirely.
But what color was armor? We certainly have innumerable artifacts

(Milan, ca. 1400, KHM)
and period depictions of fighting men wearing brilliant polished steel,

(France, 1350-1355, Works of Guillaume de Machaut)
more than enough to say for certain that people in the middle ages did wear polished steel on the field of battle, however this wasn't the only color represented.
Delving into the manuscripts and looking at extant pieces, we see a wealth of colors available, from bluing

(Augsburg, before 1560, KHM)
to russeting

(Milan, 1495, KHM)
to blackening.

(Dutch, 1490-1495, KHM)
In manuscripts, russeting

(France, 1350, Roman de la Rose)
and blackening

(Vienna, 1448, Bibelparaphrase)
seem to be particularly prevalent.
However, one must be cautious when dealing with manuscripts. In particular, there was a convention in illuminated manuscripts of using silver leaf to make metallic weapons pop and shine brightly. Given time however, this silver will tarnish, and turn black, giving the appearance of black armor to what was originally meant to be bright and shiny, as illustrated below.

(France, 1350-1360, Roman de la Rose)
It is often easy to distinguish if this is the case if the weapons in the scene also appear black, or if the black armor appears smudged and blurry, both as in the above image.
Gilding is another particularly popular style of armor decoration, most often used as a form of accent to white or black armor in the middle ages.
