This is one of those designs where I still chuckle at my own joke. And I'm kinda surprised when someone actually wants one, since it's always felt like just a (decently-executed) physical shitpost.

A bit outside my normal genre, but I was really happy with this. It was largely a test of process--sculpting the leather onto a positive formwork, which lets you really stretch the leather around the features. I'm also always a fan of projects that show off imperfections in the leather, like the scars on the surface of the upper portion, and the natural edge of the hide.

It's got minimal holes for vision and breathing. I almost left this one without any holes for eyes, because it fit so snugly on my face and it was a really interesting sensation. My facial hair sorta pushes it away from my nose, but when it's worn tightly the nostril breathing holes line up pretty well.

4 oz vegetable-tanned leather, wet-formed and sewn by hand. The upper part is dyed brown and finished with a matte clear coat, the lower part is painted gold.

I don’t usually take Nice product photos of the interiors of my masks, but I think they’re fun to see anyway. Some of them reveal some of the little compromises that you end up with when designing stuff, some give clues to my process if you look carefully.

New codpiece design complete! It’s a cleaned-up version of the pattern I made for my Magic Meat March costume earlier this year.

Magic Meat May 2021 is here!

Magic Meat March (currently Magic Meat May this year due to unfortunate circumstances in March) is a month long event of men in sexy armor! Started in 2017 and based off of the original Magic Meat Week idea by amanda-sharpe, Magic Meat May will be the same awesome event filled with art of men in skimpy outfits to show that they can fight evil while showing lots of skin! This occasion is meant to be a fun way for people to share their drawings, writings, or even some cosplays/original outfits about guys in impractical fantasy attire. Whether you wish to depict a message about the inequality seen in the apparel of video games and other entertainment media or you simply want to draw dudes in something seemingly suitable only for the beach, all are welcome!

I realized I’d forgotten to take nice photos of this mask on its own, so here I am fixing that! I’m really happy with how well the neon green pops against the black.

It is still available, so it could be yours! I’d also love to make more versions of this mask with other colors, so if that piques your interest, hit me up!

New shorter version of my canine muzzle mask (previously). Tried out this neon edge paint look, and I really liked how it turned out! Sadly it took forever because I didn’t have quite the right paint for the job, so it required like 5 coats. But I added glow-in-the-dark pigment to the mix, so that’s neat.
