A year ago, an intense, carnal affair with his mother’s summer house guest consumed Hiei’s life. When Kurama returns this summer, Hiei isn’t sure what he wants anymore.

Thinking about Kurama before bed often leads to dreaming about him. So initially, Hiei mistakes the hand in his hair as something in a dream. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d dreamed of reliving last summer. It’s always summer in his dreams. But he never smells roses in his dreams. That’s what shocks his eyes open, asleep one second and awake the next. At some point, he’d kicked the sheet off. Sleep shirt rucked up and caught under him, he’s still on his stomach. Not that he has anything to hide. Not that Kurama hadn’t explored and even photographed every inch of him last summer. Hiei can’t help but hold perfectly still as Kurama sighs beside him.

“I see you’re upset with me.” Slim fingertips leave his hair only to trace the lobe of Hiei’s ear. “Is this about our letters?”
