when heeseung came home from practise to see you curled up in a ball on the couch, his heart literally shattered.

poor boy HATED seeing you upset so he instantly would rush to you and embrace you, a comfortable silence filling the room.

he’d wait until you calmed down before pulling you away from the hug and holding onto your shoulders, looking at you with a comforting smile

if you weren’t ready to talk, he go shower and then come back to you and ask if you were ready to talk. or if you didn’t want to tell him at all, he would sigh and nod. definitely understanding.

but when he does he will feel so guilty for not realising earlier-

it all depends on what your crying about. if it’s only like something you read or a movie, be prepared for a whole hero of teasing. don’t worry though because he will forgot about it in like two days.

on the other hand, if it’s something serious then he will do his very best to make whatever your going through easier for you. if it’s something that can’t be stopped ( like schoolwork ) he will sit you down and have a talk about how it’s stressing you and he will always find a way to ease your stress.

jake will literally be so so so worried- like to the point where he feels like crying

he will find out your crying and leave you for like five minutes and then come back with so many of your favourite snacks. he will probably feed them to you while he bribed you to tell her what or who made you cry

sunghoon is similar to jay in the sense that he won’t notice until he hears some sort of sniffles or whatever. but he is different because he most likely won’t show as much affection as the rest of he members.

he will obviously ask you if you want to talk about it but if you say no then he will just leave it alone.

he will eventually end up feeling bad though so get ready to be welcomed with a lot of hugs. and maybe even some kisses..

“no, but for real though,” jay chuckled, eyes on his cup as he swirled his straw around, “i think i wanna marry her.”

his friends sitting with him around the diner table smiled, and riki beside him nudged his side teasingly, but internally, was happy that his friend finally found someone good for him who made him feel this way. 

“then marry her,” one of jay’s other close friends, heeseung, let out casually with a small shrug, taking a sip of his milkshake. 

jay avoided eye contact again and let out another soft chuckle. 

“oh,” sunghoon drew out with a smirk on his lips at the sight of his friend acting shy. “jay, are you—blushing?”

“what? no,” jay met sunghoon’s eyes and furrowed his brows, seemingly unable to prevent a smile from reaching his lips at the accusation. 

all the boys laughed, as this was one of the ways they had always bonded, through teasing. 

“oh—well, look who it is,” riki began, referring to jay’s now lit phone screen. 

jungwon laughed, “she must’ve heard us talking about her and jay.”

jay rolled his eyes playfully before gesturing to the boys that he was going to leave momentarily to take your call, to which the boys nodded and waved at him to quickly go.

jay stood up, phone in hand, and exited the diner before answering the call, “hello?”

but instead of a response, to his surprise, all he heard was a squeal. 

“y/n?!”

“ah!”

“hello? y/n?!”

“hi—hi! jay?”

“hey,” jay replied, a soft, relieved laugh leaving his lips. “you okay?”

“yeah, yeah. i uh—actually no, not really, i’m not.”

“what’s wrong?”

“are you able to come over?”

“why?” jay asked, skeptical, yet slightly concerned. 

“i‘ve been trying to make lunch, but i burnt the potatoes in the oven,” you groaned. 

“oh,” jay paused, holding in a chuckle. 

“don’t laugh!”

“i wasn’t!” jay responded playfully. 

“yeah, you are now!” you stated, causing you to let out a laugh as well. 

as a silence arose, you started again, “have you eaten yet?”

“yeah, me and the boys are actually having lunch together right now, but we’re just about finished,” he explained. “i can come over now if you want.”

“oh, did i interrupt your lunch?” you asked, feeling slightly guilty. “sorry. no, finish your lunch with them first. it’s no rush. i’ll just try to figure this out myself in the meantime.”

“no, you must be hungry, and i can tell you’re urgently in need of saving,” he joked. “i’ll just start heading over in a few minutes, it’s not a big deal.”

“okay,” you said softly. “thanks, love. i’ll see you later. love you.”

“love you too. bye,” jay said before ending the call. 

he walked back inside the diner and to his table to meet his friends. 

“what’d she say?” jake asked as he saw his friend approaching. 

“anything about—maybe—marriage?” riki cut in out of the blue. 

“whatever,” jay rolled his eyes, brushing off the comment, laughing.

“do you need to leave again?” sunoo asked jay. 

“you say that as though it’s happened before,” jay said. 

“because it has!” sunoo responded. 

jay looked at his other friends, only to find they were all nodding. 

“how did you even know, anyways?” jay asked sunoo.

“because it wouldn’t be the first time, obviously,” he answered. 

“okay, well, yeah, i do have to go, guys. sorry,” jay apologized. “y/n burnt her lunch in the oven, so i have to go help her.”

“simp,” sunghoon teased. 

“what? no, i-“

before jay could finish his sentence, the boys began blabbering quotes along the lines of “i want to marry her.”

jay took his jacket from the seat and checked that he had his phone and wallet before beginning to walk away, “oh, what was that? sorry, i can’t hear you guys. gotta go. see ya!”

and with that, he exited the diner, his friends’ voices growing quieter with each step to his car. 

a minute later, as he was about to start the vehicle, he saw his phone screen light up with a message from you.

with one last glance at your messages, he let out a soft chuckle and started the car. 

minutes passed and eventually, he arrived at your house. 

at the sound of your front door creaking open, you ran up to jay with a wide, giddy smile on your face and within seconds, your lips were on his. 

jay’s eyes fell shut, and his arms found themselves circling around your waist, pulling you closer as your hands made their way to the sides of his face. 

the kiss lasted for a few seconds before you pulled back, looking into his eyes with a large grin. your hands snaked around to the back of his neck, and he continued to hold you close. 

“hi,” you let out softly.

“hi,” he smiled before his eyes met your lips, leaning in to kiss you again. 

with a giggle, you pressed your lips back onto his. 

after a few seconds, your hands slowly fell down his arms and made their way into his hands, and you pulled out of the kiss, immediately leading him to the kitchen, leaving him wanting more.

it was only when you two entered the kitchen that he noticed the burnt aroma, along with the fresh, outside air that entered through the windows you had opened to free the smoky scent that filled the room. 

you turned around and looked at him with a sigh, your eyes silently asking for his help. 

he left one last peck on your lips before walking to the fridge to cook up something for you to eat, and you thanked him with an excited smile, always loving the food he made for you. 

you took a seat at the kitchen island, watching your boyfriend whose broad back was facing you. 

him cooking was one of his traits that made you fall so deeply in love with him. a man who could look after himself—and you—was the type of man you always imagined you’d start your life with. and here you were, with the love of your life right in front of you, cooking lunch for you after you had initially burnt your own. he was so sweet and caring, and you absolutely loved and admired that about him. 

it didn’t take long for jay to finish making your food, and once he was, also cooking a small plate for himself, you two made your way to the couch and put on a movie, which turned out to mostly serve as background noise, because all you two wanted to do was talk about each other’s day and catch up, as you often did. finishing your lunch, you swung your legs lightly over his, sprawled horizontally over his own. 

he looked at you, and you began running your hands through his soft hair, playing with the strands between your fingers. 

he closed his eyes, relaxing under your touch. he looked so content, a smile made its way to your face. 

a few seconds after he opened his eyes, he commented, “your eyes are so pretty.”

looking into his own, you smiled before hitting his arm lightly. 

however, his compliment caused you to remember what his friends told you only an hour prior about what jay had said about you. apparently, he had told them that he wanted to marry you, causing you to become all giddy again, wanting nothing but to marry him too. 

at the sight of your expression and the way you were looking at him, he began littering kisses over your face, causing you to squirm and laugh under his hold and he spoke, “what’s up?”

after your giggles eventually died down, your eyes landed on his which were already staring lovingly into your own, and you two remained there for what felt like a long, happy eternity, before you interrupted the intimate moment. 

“you wanna marry me?” you asked innocently. 

at the sound of your question, he began to grow shy, something you hadn’t seen from him since the first days you two had met so long ago. he nodded slowly, and you immediately crashed your lips onto his. 

as the kiss grew deeper, he pulled you closer, only falling deeper in love with you. 

with a smile, he pulled back slowly, “your lips are so soft.”

his sudden comment caused you to let out a soft chuckle before replying, “propose, and you can get this every day, baby.”

“i might just take you up on that offer,” jay smirked, placing his lips softly back onto yours before you kissed him back, excitement building up in your body as you imagined what spending the rest of your life with him would be like.

pulling the blanket closer to you, you turn over onto your left side as your right arm has became uncomfortable after lying on it for so long.

“ you’re finally awake?” jay asks you with a small smile replacing his obvious pout. you found it really adorable that whenever jay was concentrated or tired, a pout would always be on his pretty lips.

responding with a small hum, you brushed away the feeling of the frosty morning air. whenever you looked at jay, you always felt a sense of comfort and warm was inside of you. you couldn’t help but get giddy at how lucky you were to get him.

in jays eyes, he would’ve thought the exact same about you, staring down at your figure that was carefully entangled within the sheets of your bed. he couldn’t ask for anything more.

you were his and he was yours. that’s all that mattered to him.
