Like the great bales of hay stacked upon the hills

Like the excitement of the harvest

And cider, bread baked fresh in the morning

And the warmth of the heart in the dead of winter

You smell… like home.

I can always come back to you

Whenever I’m far away and when I miss you

And it’s amazing how you make feel so warm

Even in the coldest nights of winter

I know I’m safe with you.

And I’m home.

Can We…?

Some days I love you, and some days I hate you

I can’t tell which one is real or not

You give me happiness but sadness at the same time

Why can’t I leave you? Why can’t I forget you?

I miss you so much, but I don’t want you back

And I don’t know why I’m feeling this way

You brought light into my life and colored it all

But it darkened and became black and white when you left

How can I forget someone who gave me so much to remember?

You make it so hard for me to erase you out of my mind

Even if a small part of me hated how much you hurt me, there was a lot of parts that said I still loved you through it all

I hate how my heart knows me so well, while my mind tries to deny it

On the day we parted, I wanted to tell you so desperately; “Can we try again? Can we love again?”

But you were already gone before I could tell you this

Most of my poems are all about you, because you gave me a reason to write

With this, I hope I can reach you

And maybe we could try again…

We’ll Meet Again.

Soooo… I was watching The Adam Project and it inspired me to write a short poetry. It’s such a good movie, mixed with crying and laughter, a good combination you don’t see these days. Which is why it’s a great movie for those who hasn’t seen it.

Anyways, I’m gonna get right to it! I hope you like it!

It’s been a while, huh?

Sorry it took me this long

I’ve searched everywhere for you

You’re still the one for me

My heart belongs to you always

I know there’s a moment somewhere

In a time where we are happy

Even if it’s not now

It will be here someday

We just won’t expect it soon

We might not recognize each other at first

But deep down, we know we’re right together

Even in another life, I’d still find you

And fall in love all over again

You know you’ll see me soon

We’ll meet again.

When I watched that movie, the part where Adam’s wife Laura tells him to leave and go back to 2018, and set things right for the future, meaning there’ll be no time travel. Adam hesitates, because it means they’ll never meet, as they met in the future, but Laura assured him they will meet again.

She was convinced by the fact that they’ll meet again, and told him; “Every moment we ever had will always have happened. Even if we correct the time stream, somewhere in us will be the echo of this one and we will find each other.”

That line broke me. She was so brave and trusted Adam to correct the time stream, even if it meant they met in a different place or never met at all, she was SO sure that they’d meet again, just not in the same way they did in the future.

Adam did meet her again in the future, just in a different place and maybe he did remember a little about the past when he went back to find his wife, Laura, because when he said, “Not anymore. I found you.”, they both stared at each other in silence and in happiness, and in that moment, I silently wondered if they somehow remembered what happened in that time when they tried to correct the time stream.

I guess we’ll never know. This movie keeps us guessing at what happens in the end, and if Adam and Laura actually remembered the past.

This movie is so amazing, I can’t describe what I feel about this, but I can say one thing: Love. You’d do anything for your loved one, go back in the past and save them or change the past, make the future better and maybe alter it a little.

Time travel is amazing, isn’t it? Such a shame it doesn’t really exist. It would be great if it does exist, and we’d be able to fix our mistakes and maybe save our loved ones from death, or sickness, or anything. It makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
