Oh, Wig! (Expressive)
I had a vision, and the vision was wigs.
Originally I was going to base the wigs on drag queen wigs, but so many drag wigs are made by the queens themselves that it felt wrong to use their designs as inspiration for something I wanted to sell- they’re woefully underpaid as is. So I looked up vintage wig ads from the 60s, and voilà! Plenty of inspiration to use!
I actually made a second version, because the faces on these mannequins are just a little too human-like to read as mannequins. But I liked their faces too much to throw them away, so here we are.
