every few business days, i think about hwi and seon ho and cry

Here is Seon Ho, utterly losing his mind and self-control, fighting like a feral animal, when he sees Hwi surrounded and about to be killed.

And here is Seon Ho begging his father to spare Hwi (daddy didn’t need to say a word for Seon Ho to understand what he meant to do)

And here is Seon Ho when he thinks Hwi is dead, trying to crawl while bound to Hwi’s body, only being stopped by being knocked out.

Then there was his face when he learned Hwi was alive…

Or the fact that he went to warn Hwi his father’s assassins were after him even as they shot him! And stood there with Hwi to protect him and his sister (doing the whole I am so tough I am gonna pull an arrow out of me by myself and throwing a sword to Hwi when he needed it, in perfect sync.)

Sure! 100% platonic bros there, nothing to see here, move along…

I'm only on the second episode but

This plot is just genius

I'm guessing we only see each customer for one or two episodes each

But even in that short time we see their stories, relate to them, feel for them

Kang-bae and Weol-ju too

The feeling of failure, the feeling of loneliness, these are things we relate to all too well

These feelings hurt, they're scary, but seeing these characters find hope and healing is why we watch these types of dramas

They might be fictional, but for real people, they're comforting

So for anyone out there who's hurting right now, I hope your 쌍갑포차 is on its way to a street corner near you, and that your own Kang-bae, Weol-ju, and Gwi come to lift you up

I hope you find your own hope and healing just like them

okay so where’s the au where jo yeong and jo eun-seob are twins, their parents stayed together, and then had another pair of twins years later? they’re absolute polar opposites and are always asked if their parents divorced and each one raised one twin (no, they just grew up like that). acquaintances of yeong will meet eun-seob and just think ???? meanwhile eun-seob’s friends will meet yeong and be like woah... your brother is so cool and hot (to which eun-seob will always go, we’re identical twins so thank you for the indirect compliment ha!). the two of them have a handful of identity-switch stories (yeong taking eun-seob’s driving test for him because he’s sick of eun-seob failing every time and asking him for rides everywhere, eun-seob dressing as yeong in order to sabotage a date yeong wanted to get out of). the younger twins think yeong is cooler but eun-seob is more fun. they always act annoyed by the other but in reality they would take a bullet for each other, NO ONE gets to talk to him that way only I DO!

basically the potential is all there and I am absolutely living for it
