Unpopular Opinion : Nagito Komaeda is bisexual

( I was inspired of an another post on Gramho.com/Picuki.com of @nurse_.tsumiki but for some reason she delete her account. And I believe I know why )

I’m so sick and tired of seeing : “Since you ship Komaede with girls, you’re disgusting and need to unfollow me” or “You hate gay man, let them have something for once you homophobic !”

Like what’s really gross is this type of behavior ?

You can’t say Nagito Komaeda is canonly gay just because he has canon feelings for a male like that’s completely erasing that he could be bisexual and here I’m going to explain why the bisexual headcanon is completely valid.

There’s no doubt that Komaeda is one of the most or the best written character in the series

I found a interview that was from the canon art book where he was literally asked what his favorite type of girls and his answer was completely gender neutral

To translate, his answer was that he didn’t think anyone would like him at all then continued to say that he would like anyone who basically has a stong hope. The people who believe he’s canonly gay think he dodged the question when he said anyone but I definitely don’t think that’s yhe case here.

This just screams bisexual to me ? I mean, think about it, he proably said anyone because he doesn’t care for gender. This making him gender neutral (which bi or pan)

And it you’re still not convinced, take this scene from Danganronpa 3 Despair Arc :

It’s clearly shows/implies he’s attracted to hope. There’s no debate here.

And look at his profile of Servant in Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls :

It is marked “Beautifule people”, so it’s an another proof he doesn’t care of gender.

Hum ? What did you say ? He never showed interest for women ? Okay, now look at this :

In Super Danganronpa 2.5, we see the ideal world of Nagito with his desires and he has the head under Mikan’s skirt so...

And there this scene in the chapter 2 of Sdr2 who proof he isn’t so indefferent about women :

So in conclusion :

So like, I’m not saying you can’t headcanon him as gay (you can !), but don’t attack people or force your headcanon on them espacially when there’s definitely proofs for the bisexual headcanon as I’ve show.

So yes. The Komaeda Bisexual headcanon is valid so to all the people who attack and degrade people for this need to shut the fuck up and realize you’re one of the reasons this fandom is turning so toxic.

people are allowed to write characters however makes them happy, but i wish there were an equal amount of people who paid attention to his canon characterization too. i wish i could find a fic or two that doesn’t make him a tsundere (he’s not one - though i understand the appeal) or weirdly mean to his friends (he’s usually very chill!!)

he let toga hold a knife to his neck. he let spinner grab him by the collar of his shirt and yell in his face. he let dabi tell him he didn’t give a shit about his tragic backstory and wasn’t gonna stick around to help directly. he let twice tackle him to the ground and all he had to say was “wow, you multiplied yourself! good job!”

Calling a canon bisexual woman a lesbian becuase she has a female love interest or is in a wlw relationship is bisexual erasure and biphobic!!!!
