You were an intern at a cafe which was near a forest, it was a lovely cafe. People loved it for it's calming atmosphere because it wasn't near any roads or the city.

That's where you met the big three, or how they call themself. You aren't really sure.

First you met lumine, she was one to put the order in, she always had that smile that would lit up a room.

"Yes hello, I would like to place an order" she said and your attention now on her "ah yes, what may the order be?" You answered holding up your little notebook and pen, lumine thought for a bit and answered with a smile "well, i would like to have a strawberry shortcake and apple juice, my friends over there would like one cinnamon roll with coffee and a sandwich and bitter tea." She smiled once again and started to pull out her wallet out of her backpack. "The total would be.." you said rigging her up on an old register "Alright the total is 15,45." You smiled as lumine gave you the money and went back to the group, you could see how they were talking.. or was it arguing?

It was a fun sight meeting the group even tho you met lumine as a customer and not as a stranger you would want to talk to.

The opposite would be said for scaramouche, you met him.. well..

"Hey there. Could you help me find this store?" A person approached you and asked, pulling out one ear bud out of your ear and looking at the location on the paper.. it was an old pawn shop not far from where you were, "Oh yeah, that shop is really hidden unless you know where it is I can take you there." You smiled at scara and started walking to the shop. The walk was quiet but not unpleasant, scara was looking around the old alleyways that were overgrown to the balconies "Hey, did I met you before you seem kinda.. familiar?" Scara asked you and you looked at him thinking "I don't think so, no." Shaking your head. After arriving at the destination scara waved a hand at you and went inside greeting the old owner.

The memory was pleasant but also you didn't meet him directly more like a coincidence.

But meeting albedo was one of your favorite to say the least you talked to him more than a more stranger or a customer.

The sounds of the birds as you walked by the pond in the forest near your work, hearing humming and feet shuffling you looked to your left to see albedo and what you soon would find out would be klee, his little sister. Albedo was painting a beautiful sight of the forest and a nearby mansion, while klee was running around looking at the fishes and throwing rocks to the pond while giggling. "Oh hey there!" Klee said waving her hand and smiling at you with her grin, you waved back and smiled at the child. When your eyes met with albedos, the kind blue eyes and a soft smile, "Hey klee why won't you go find me a pinecone?" Said albedo and klee was extatic to be to use and ran off to the Woods "so your name is y/n I believe, I saw you this morning at the cafe." He Smiled and went back to his painting and you approached him wanting to look at the painting with curiosity. After that more conversation ensued.

The painting later stayed in your work as decor from albedo for free as a gift.

But if we akip forward a bit, lets get to the time when you, albedo, lumine and scara went to the Woods to have a picnic.

It was a nice evening, you and lumine prepared the food and drinks while albedo got his painting equipment and scara? Scara was listening to his walkman and looking at the sky slowly drifting away with the clouds and thinking about random things.

You laughed with lumine and albedo about a certain memory of all of you in a bar when albedo got so drunk he started speaking nonsense. While albedo was setting up his watercolors and pallete you looked over at scara who was looking at the sky, his hair sprawled out on the picnic blanket looking peaceful as ever. Deciding to join him.

"Hey scara what are you listening to?" You said taking one of his earphone off his ear to hear you, he sighted and looked at you replying softly "ABBA.. this forest is so peaceful.. makes me wanna sleep." He laughed softly and closed his eyes when you heard lumine say "cheese!"

You looked at her and smiled as she took a photo of you scara and bedo, bedo starting to sketch out his painting and you and scara laying next to each other, lumine smiled and replied "now with just me and y/n" and giggled and made you sit up while hugging you from behind extending her hand out with her camera taking the picture with both of you laughing.

While this all was happening albedo stopped sketching and started painting not letting anyone see it but himself saying it will be a "suprise"

While albedo was making his suprise, you and lumine were making flower crowns and putting them on sleeping scara, giggling when a butterfly landed on scaras forehead. This was one of the best days with your friends but the feeling of dread was filling you slowly as you reliazed you were feeling some kind of emotions for them...

diluc takes a LONG time to find interest in someone and takes even longer to fall in love. he has a lot going on in his life and he needs someone who can protect themselves. that or he will personally train you just in case, diluc has a lot of allies, but he also has a lot of enemies. and with the fatui not being his biggest fan, he needs to know his partner will be okay if he's not there.

however, when diluc falls in love... he. falls. in. love. this man will be down bad for you. he will make sure you have a lavish life style and will most certainly make sure that you only have the best. whenever he's out on business trips, he'll find treasures and trinkets that remind him of you.

despite diluc’s tendency to be on the quiet side (really just his hatred for idle chit-chat), most people who are close to him can see how much he talks when he engages with his partner. his aura becomes softer and a lot less stiff. you bring out the warmth of the man referred to as the “cold-hearted pyro”

diluc’s eyes show so much about him, when his words or facial expressions fail him, you can always look into his eyes. his eyes tend to get glassy when he’s overwhelmed or glow when he’s angry or frustrated. they almost beam when he spots something he likes, and fear is shown when he rapidly blinks and he becomes almost smaller in form.

if you know him well enough, you can read both his body language and his eyes.

also just some body headcanons I have for diluc. i think he's about 6'2, 232 lb, and has a much thicker build (he's german). he has thick hands and fingers and a lot of body hair. i think he's about 23-26 but due to the stress on his mind and body, he looks and acts about 29-32 ish. he has stubble on his chin but he never lets it grow out. it reminds him of his father. he has a lot of scars across his body and has a crooked nose because its been broken a f

diluc does not engage in most public displays of affection. he is a private person, however, he will never push you away. he will simply grasp your hand when there’s a large crowd, or when he feels uneasy. he likes having you there to keep him stable, and if you’re more extroverted, he’ll allow you to just talk your ear off to the people of mondstat.

once you have broken down diluc’s walls, you will become one of the stable pillars in his life. he will make sure to treat you with such care, but he can sometimes be distant. this also comes with the fact that relationships are 50/50, and you need to be able to handle his emotions and his busy schedule. he will try to spend every moment he can with you, but sometimes he cannot, and it could possibly be something out of his hands. he's not trying to be this way, but running a successful business means that he needs to tend to it most hours.

he appreciates you talking to him about what you feel he isn’t doing right, and he will do the same. he may be intimidating, but he’s very understanding and is willing to communicate. he is a businessman after all, and just because he doesn’t like idle chit-chat, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t value your conversations with each other. in fact, you're probably the only person he could listen to for hours about anything and he would remember it all. he has a VERY good memory.

he cooks for you! once he sends off all of his maids to their houses, he prefers to cook you dinner when he has the chance to. he’ll cook you anything you’d like and it’s always a delight, he’s a natural chef. you'll also become his personal taste tester. he'll make you cocktails, mocktails, and all sorts of things. he wants to know your feedback and what he can improve on. he's not afraid of feedback and your opinion means a lot to him.

he’ll bring you to picnics near places he knows is safe, he knows they're safe because he personally clears the area out himself while on one of his shifts as the “Darknight Hero”. he’ll also bring cute little sandwiches, grape juice for himself, and whatever beverage you prefer.

in arguments, he doesn’t get heated unless you did something dumb and got yourself hurt and you keep saying it was nothing. his trauma from his father keeps him at bay for a long time and once he finally thinks that someone he loves is going to stay with him, he thinks they’ll be taken from him. he’s so protective, and a bit helicopterish that it’s a bit much sometimes, but he does it all with good intentions.

if it becomes too much for you to handle, you need to tell him. if you keep things from him it will only damage your relationship. diluc's love language relies on good communication and he wants to know how to improve. he will do the same with you if you are doing something that upsets him. however, this will never turn into berating. he will have a conversation with you, and it will very rarely turn into an argument.

lastly, he is so huge on constantly being there for one another, and is very open with you once you’ve earned his trust. once you’ve earned his trust, you are very likely to marry him. its a long and difficult journey at times, but the benefits, in the end, will be so worth it.
