2021 rules
- must reblog the rules page if you plan on participating. Your work will not be reblogged if you haven’t first reblogged this post. (I’m trying to get a head count of how many people might participate so I know if I need to take the week off from work.)
- Use the tag #heta-oc-week2021 as your first tag and @ this blog because as we all know this website and app aren’t the most functional we’ve seen
- Dont be lazy! A new piece must be created for each prompt. Its unfair to other creators who’re making brand new pieces for each day and there’s someone out there recycling old pieces (especially art). I’m releasing the prompts list roughly a whole month before the event even starts so you can do pre-production planning.
- Whats allowed?
- Art
- Writing
- Cosplay
- Crafts
- Will I be accepting late submissions?
- In short, no. You have a hard deadline of 12am est, January 31st to get everything in for the week. Anything after that will not be accepted.
- Absolutely no hate! This event is to give the ocs love not hate.
- Your piece for each prompt must contain an oc in it canon characters can be present in your work as well but should not be the main focus
- Stay away from romanticising controversial or touchy subjects like 9/11, war, Covid-19 etc....

Active Hetalia Ask Blogs?
Heeeey, any active Hetalia Ask Blogs/Hetalia Content Creators out there? I think majority of the ones I follow have died off. Please like, so I can give you a follow.
Thanks :D

Rules
This year’s event will take place from the 22nd of February to the 28th of February!
Your work must be tagged with #historicalhetaliaweek. You can also @ this blog if you think your work might not show up in the tags.
The event will encompass all of history, from ancient to contemporary, with each day dedicated to a certain time period. There are also additional prompts for each day, although these are entirely optional.
You can find the detailed tagging rules, period schedule and optional prompt list HERE.
Content Guidelines
• The first and foremost rule here is to be respectful. We will not accept works that include topics like genocides, recent national tragedies or ideologically sensitive issues. In case you’re not sure whether your content conforms to this rule, don’t hesitate to send us an ask.
• Other types of content that won’t be accepted are: incest, pedophilia, rape, gore and graphic violence
• We ask you to tag your work with the appropriate warnings for mature and triggering content. You can find a list of tags on the blacklisting page. These are the tags you can use for your works or filter in case you don’t want to see such content.
• Lastly, while this is an event for historical Hetalia, we will not accept bullying others for historical inaccuracy. We are all at a different stage of learning and there is no need to punish creators. Users who do this will receive a warning or be blocked.
Bringing inaccuracy to our attention is only acceptable in cases of problematic content that is seriously misleading or disrespectfully biased in its portrayal of history.
Disclaimer
Mods will try their best to filter works appropriately but there is always the chance of us missing something. If you think that we’ve reblogged problematic content or haven’t tagged a work appropriately, please send us an ask or DM us to inform us of the issue.
Victoria thanked the man as she carefully took the journal. Holding it up to exam the cover. Alberta peeped open an eye to look at here before closing it again. "That's an interesting display case, Mr. Edelstein."
Figured I'd do the same thing but in reverse
It was a quiet day and Arnold, Austria, was looking over one of his um special books (no it's not that kind of book, get your head out of the gutter) and mixing something together. He heard a crash in the next room over, making him jump " what the!? ".
