Okay so idk why but I always have an Alessi headcanon, my headcanon is the reason he's at all sadistic towards children was because he was bullied and or abused by people close to them so they just became them when they grew up

This. So yeah. He's got a bit of a Napoleonic complex. That's one reason he picks on kids. Another reason is as you said, anon. A childhood of being bullied for his height led to a hatred of children, and really, anybody taller than him who he doesn't consider a friend.
