i just want to remind everyone that it’s very tone deaf to make jokes about having to go out to war now with the ethnic cleansing in palestine going on when you’re a westerner who has not had war on their own soil since the 1800s. its even worse if you share weird saviour fantasises about going into war and being some kind of super soldier that will “save” the oppressor in this issue.
it’s really easy to treat war and violence as a joke or some kind of wet dream when you’ve been living in the west and you haven’t had war on your own land for centuries. do you think those of us who have dead relatives thinks it’s funny? do you think we have the ability to turn this into a joke when generations of families has been wiped out in the name of colonisation and greed? when large chunks of a cultures history, and well simply the culture itself, is being wiped out on purpose to erase a group from the earth’s surface simply for their ethnicity?
this is not a direct call out, but something everyone should read and reflect on. please, do not minimise or turn others suffering into a laughing matter when you come from a privileged background. check yourself, please.

tumblr as a company has clearly sided with israel (running pro-israel propaganda & misinformation ads, blocking/suppressing the palestine tag and many related tags) at this point if you pay for ad free browsing, badges, or merch you are enabling this. tumblr is not playing both sides, they are not acting neutrally, they are on the side of genocide. do not support this company
being in support of palestine isn’t antisemitic, it’s standing up for the basic human rights of palestinians that have not had them since 1948. they have not had peace for the last 75 years. children are born into this country, already threatened for the lives. an entire population is being killed off right in front of our eyes and people are just praising it.
you truly have to be sick in the head to tell palestine supporters to “read facts”. open a book and tell me about how palestinians are being ethnically cleansed, rights stripped from each other, citizens being MASSACRED in the public eye for millions to see. broadcasted like entertainment just for israel to play the victim card and say it’s a ‘war’.
churches, mosques, the gaza strip, homes, etc. containing palestinian citizens, have been bombed and destroyed while israel is using that $14.3 billion to continue to mock and talk down on palestine all across social media, acting like children. they fabricated children’s murders, claiming the blood is on the hands of palestine to try to make people feel empathetic.
if you support israel, you support genocide.

the worst kind of person is a person who “doesn’t wish to be political” about everything happening in gaza right now. you’re not ACTUALLY being non-political because this situation isn’t about politics, it’s a clear cut case of genocide. it’s a privilege to be able to feel so uncomfortable about these topics and not wish to talk about them, and it feels like you are being complicit when you say you “can’t pick sides” or “don’t want to bring up discourse”. how is denouncing genocide discourse? how is reblogging a post on information or donation links when you come across it discourse? how is donating even $1, if you have the means to spare it, discourse? you think it is politics or simply a topic of debate because the suffering of brown and muslim people is so normalised in the west that you have become desensitised to it, but people are losing their lives and their homes. it’s strange to think of that as something political rather than something downright horrific.
