a/n: couldn’t stop thinking about christina’s sun monologue to meredith in grey’s anatomy, so i had to get that in here (sorry not sorry)

i've said this before and i'll say it again, summer is abby's season. not only does it bring out her pretty freckles even more and give her pretty skin a sun-kissed glow, it's the time of the year she can reach her final form.

abby is just the embodiment of summer.

you first realise it the very first time time she smiles at you. when she shows you her pearly whites, and her entire face lights up, you realise it. that abby anderson is the sun.

she has an ability to spread a sense of warmth through you, an ability only she and the sun has. when you pull a smile out of her the way she makes you feel is the same feeling you get when the sun starts showing again after the winter.

think about months of darkness and coldness, there being no difference between night and day- and then think about how it feels when the sun appears again. being blessed by the warm feeling on your face as you let the sun shine on you.

think about how it feels to soak in the summer heat, how it feels to lay down on the grass or sand. when the warm sun allows your entire body to relax in a way that it never has before.

that’s what abby does to you, that’s what she does to everything around her. i think you’ll tell her one day, and she’ll be speechless. you’re arguing with her, and arguments with abby comes rarely. she spreads too much happiness through your veins for you to ever make you mad.

it’s the way owen treats her that starts it. it angers you, and what makes you even more angry is the way she allows it. it’s as if she believes she deserves it, as if she can’t see that she’s like the sun.

you try to talk sense into her, but it’s not working. instead, she gets angry with you. you’re not met with the beautiful smile you’ve grown accustomed to, but instead a scowl. she starts off with defending owen, but then you say that she deserves more. and that you can’t believe why she lets someone step over her like that.

she starts pressing you, asking what it is to you. she’s angry and offended for owen, which only spurs you on more. after that it’s downhill, you open your mouth and can’t stop.

“abby, you’re a great soldier and extraordinary friend.” she’s still mad at you, you see the way her nostrils flare and the way her fists clench.

“don’t let owen eclipse that.” the anger runs off you, and suddenly you’re speaking more quietly. a little bit breathless, and you’re reaching out your hand but suddenly retract it. as if you were about to reach out to her. and you can see that abby’s calming down as well, the fire in her eyes slowly disappearing.

“he’s very… charming. but he’s not the sun. you are.” you leave her speechless and you can’t help but swallow. wait for her reaction, for her to say something. instead she only looks down at the floor, and then up.

when you meet her eyes again, the fire is completely gone. instead her eyes are filled with something that makes you feel warm in that way she always make you feel. gone is the angry abby, and here is the sun you’re used to.

abby’s the embodiment of summer. it’s like someone picked down sun from the sky with their very own hands and placed her here. you keep on staring at her, and the sun beams back at you.

i have a weird defiant thing with authority figures however abby or ellie giving me a stern talking to because i keep being stubborn and defying them and needing to be put into my place hello 🤗🤗🤗🤗

i want this so bad you don't even know.

bratting to abby would be so fun because she definitely lets you get it our of your system before she corrects you. i can just imagine pouting at her all day. saying snide comments that make her mad, but she pays you no mind. just gives you a small hmm, which of course only makes you want to keep being bad, because you're only doing it for her attention.

you go about your day, giving her attitude about stuff you shouldn't be.

"you made the coffee wrong, 's too strong like this." abby gives you a kiss on your head while pouring more cream into your mug.

"why are you wearing that shirt?" you ask her.

"'cause it's my shirt."

"but i wanted to wear it today." you pout.

and she just gives you the shirt, figures you'll lose the attitude soon enough. and when you don't, it obviously annoys her, but she knows she can wait it out. knows that once you guys are back from patrol and she has you in your joint room that she can make you listen. and once you're back? she's immediately grabbing your jaw.

"what's up with you today, huh? where's my good girl?" you open your mouth to say something but she cuts you off. "'ve been so good to you, yeah? put up with your shit all day long, and you're still running your fucking mouth. you wanted my attention? you've fucking got it, kid."

"'m sorry, abs." you say, the words are mumbled from how her strong hand is gripping your jaw still, but you really are sorry. you've been putty in her hands since the first words left her mouth. she has so much control over you, and she knows it.

"you're always fucking sorry when i get mean. get on the bed."

ellie williams is the type who would fake fuck you whenever you’re bent over. fight me if you disagree.
