The school day had gone by normally with nothing of interest to note, that was, until your world came crashing down around you at the end of your last period. Your friend Lisa had made it known to you that she could no longer house you at her parents house, as they would be having family from out of town over for an extended stay. She apologized profusely, knowing that your living situation wasn’t in a good place after the death of your parents and, honestly, you really had no family to fall back on. You only had Lisa and Rosé. You knew that Rosé would’ve helped you out if she didn’t already have such a big family and while that normally warmed your heart, it made you fearful after hearing the terrible news when you realized that you were now homeless.
Bracing yourself for a few moments so as not to worry your already stressed out friends over the situation, you placed a gentle hand on Lisa’s shoulder and gave her the smile that you always gave when you tried to calm their nerves. “Hey, it’s not your fault... Okay? You couldn’t have known that this was going to happen. I promise that I’ll figure something out for myself. Just don’t worry.” You gave the girls a knowing look, which seemed to calm them down for the time being.
“She can stay with me and my friend.”
All of you turned to face the sudden voice and saw Jimin, who was currently leaning against a nearby locker looking a bit too cool for his own good. Sure, he had been snooping a bit on the conversation, but was it his fault that his locker was only a few down from yours? He just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Your face turned red at the thought of someone as popular as him taking you in as a charity case, instantly shaking your head back and forth while bowing a few different times in his direction. “No, no, no, I can’t make you do that, Jimin!”
A small smile rose on his lips as he pushed off the locker with his hands in the pant pockets of his school uniform, now standing directly in front of you. Once you looked up into his eyes, his glimmered back down to yours and the smile he had got even bigger at the sudden eye contact. “Good thing you’re not making me do anything, huh? I promise that it’s no problem at all. In fact, Jin would probably adore the company as much as me. We need to have more friends than just the two of us. I think you’d be the perfect fit.”
If you could blush anymore, you’d probably look similar to a tomato. He really had a way with getting under your skin in the best way possible. Of course he did. He was Park Jimin. Every woman and most men in the school wanted him and he knew that he was the most beautiful creature to grace their halls. Luckily, he didn’t let it go to his head like other people would have. He was a genuine and kind soul and that part of him was showing right in this moment. Looking back to your friends, who seemed skeptical at first, Lisa sighed deeply and then glanced in your direction. “It’s ultimately up to you, Y/N. But, you have a great opportunity for a place to live that just fell in your lap. Who knows when you’ll get another one. You know?”
She was right. She was always right. With an unsure smile, you looked back in Jimin’s direction and could tell that he was patiently waiting for an answer from you. It took a moment for you to find the strength to speak to him again and, when you finally did, you gave a nod while clasping your hands in front of yourself. “I’ll take you up on your offer.” The smile he gave you was almost blinding from how perfect it was - his pearly whites shining from the sun’s rays outside the hallway’s windows.

You had left the school with Jimin after having him practically begging you to escort you to your friend Lisa’s so you could gather your things. It didn’t take long for you, as the only belongings that you really had and cared for were confined to a single duffel bag. Once you came outside where he had been waiting for you, he looked in your direction and gave you an extremely confused look as his eyes wandered over your form. “Where’s all your things?” He asked and then you lifted up the bag in your hand to show him, which wasn’t even completely full. “Right here.” His whole demeanor softened as his heart broke into little pieces.
You needed protecting at all costs. You poor, sweet soul.
Finally making it back to his place, which apparently was now yours too, you both made your way inside; taking off your shoes in the entryway to pad around in just your socks. “Jinnie, I’m home!” Jimin called out and as you looked up, Jin’s head popped out from around the corner while smiling at the sight of both of you. “Welcome home! And it’s good to see you again, Y/N! Come on in. Make yourself comfortable.” With a bow of thanks toward him, you entered further into the house with Jimin and started looking over the walls and small tables to see pictures everywhere. There were many with Jin and Jimin while others were filled with a bunch of others that you had never met.
Jimin had snuck his way over to Jin while you were preoccupied with the photos to discuss what had happened at school and that he had mentioned that you could stay, hoping that he would be okay with it as it was more so his house. A bright smile that rivaled Jimin’s appeared and his clapped his hands together. “How wonderful! It’ll be so nice to have another roommate that isn’t such a brat. Good thing we have a room for her.” Earning a glare from the other, he smacked his arm and huffed. “Yah! Don’t be rude. I’m an angel.” He was only answered with a scoff.
When you finally came into the room with them, the both of them had been in the kitchen while Jin prepared dinner; Jimin grabbing some little bites here and there to “taste test” as he always did. Jin would try and smack his hand away each and every time, which caused you to giggle. They both looked in your direction as if stunned by the sound. Jin thought it sounded quite like the tinkling of bells. Jimin didn’t have anything to compare it to, because it was all your own and he adored it already. “We have a room upstairs for you, but it’s definitely going to need to be cleaned out a bit. Jimin can help you with that while I finish making dinner.”
The both of you nodding, you made your way up the stairs and Jimin pushed open the door and stopped dead in his tracks as soon as he did. He was almost embarrassed to let you see the state of the room. No one had been in it or used it in a long time, so it was dusty and filled with boxes as it had been used for temporary storage. “I’m... So sorry. Let’s get the windows open and we can clear the air in here a little.” He mumbled shyly and hurriedly made his way over to the window to unlock and open it, letting the fresh air finally filter out the room.
Little did they both know that a hidden figure was watching Jimin’s every move from outside. Someone they didn’t expect...
i’m afraid that daddy jin has now become my new favorite thing in the whole world. jesus.
OKAY so I am having so much fun writing Jin as like, such a dominant and possessive person in abmol that I like…am making myself blush☺️
like here is a sneak peak:
This time, it was Jin who moved forward, gripping your chin in his hand, tilting your head up so you could look at him.
“So, are you saying you don’t want to be mine? You don’t want to be my pretty baby girl?” His tone scared you a little bit, different than how he was talking to you only a few minutes ago. His words had you immediately shaking your head.
“Words little one.”
“No Jinnie. I want to be yours.” Everyone in the room picked up on the double meaning in your words, something you didn’t want. You didn’t want them to know the struggle you were dealing with. At your words, his grip tightened on your chin, taking all his willpower not to smash his lips into yours.
im having way too much fun with this😂

Fallen autumn leaves crunched beneath your tennis shoes as you walked through a patch of wooded land that you had never explored before, though you had seen it many times on your way to school. Prior to the death of your parents, you had never thought to come this way, but you had become more open to adventure as of late. The large trees above blocked most of the sun’s rays out, making the air a bit crisper and it sent a shiver down your spine. Was it the wind or was it a strange feeling you were having? You knew nothing about this area, but it was almost as if you were being lead somewhere by some unknown force.
It only took a bit more time for you to stumble upon a single house that had been situated upon the top of a hill. It seemed quite lonely, as it was seemingly so far away from civilization, but once you turned on your heel to look back to where you had traveled... A soft gasp escaped your lips. There before you, the expanse of the city below was outstretched as far as the eye could see. It was one of the most beautiful views you had ever had the privilege of witnessing. Why wasn’t it a painting in a gallery?
Shaking your head to clear your thoughts, you decided to turn back toward the house curiously and take in its details. It was a decent enough size, well-kept and appeared to be lived in. Nothing seemed weird or ominous about it, but for some reason, you still decided to tiptoe your way over to one of the side porches. There, you saw one of the most beautiful tapestries that illustrated the entirety of the Chinese zodiac and your sight went nowhere else after that; seemingly glued to your spot.
When you were younger, your parents had often spoken to you about the Chinese zodiac and it had become your obsession ever since. You couldn’t relate much to most of the zodiac members, but you distinctly remember your father mentioning the tale of the cat. There was something about that cat that had stuck with you and made you feel connected in some way... Especially now that you were older. Going to high school, you dealt with a lot of bullies that consistently made it their mission to tear you down. Luckily, you had two amazing friends and an ever-sunny disposition that wouldn’t allow them to break you.
Shaking from your thoughts, you heard a throat being cleared and your body slightly jerked toward the sound; watching him with a look of horror - It was as if you had been caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar before dinner. With a soft laugh, the tall man glanced in the direction of the tapestry you had been ogling and gave a kind smile at the sight of it. “Interested in the zodiac, are we?” He asked curiously and you rubbed the back of your neck nervously, nodding slowly as you did. “I’m sorry that I’m trespassing... It’s just so beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it before.” A hum of agreement rumbled in his throat and he crossed his arms over his chest, glancing back at you as if trying to figure you out. “Isn’t it?”
“Miss Y/L/N?”
Both of you turned to see who the new person was that had joined the conversation and you realized that it was your fellow classmate Park Jimin. You couldn’t mistake his soft, angelic voice anywhere. He was one of the most popular kids in school and, despite all of the taunting the rest of the kids aimed toward you ( though he probably never realized ), he had always been such a sweetheart to you. If only you had talked more... “Jimin! I didn’t know that you lived here. I was just about to head to school, but decided to take a quick shortcut. I’m so sorry for intruding!” You bowed quickly to the both of them and then, just as you were about to go, a hand was gently placed on your shoulder; making you go rigid. “Why don’t we go together?”
You turned to look back to Jimin with a raised eyebrow, trying your hardest to push down any signs of hope at his sudden suggestion. This had to be some sort of prank, right? Were the kids from school setting this up somehow? But, then he gave that beautiful smile of his and your body instantly relaxed, feeling as though you were in the presence of an angel. You gave him a sweet smile back and nodded your head to him, gripping on to your bag a bit tighter. “That would be wonderful.”
And with that, you and Jimin were heading to school together for the first time; with a waving stranger wishing you both a good day in the background. Who was that man?
- - - - - - -
Walking side-by-side in silence, you thought that it would be extremely uncomfortable... But, it wasn’t with him. Somehow, he made you forget all of your worries temporarily. Glancing in his direction, you admired his side profile secretly with a small smile and laughed internally. This man was perfect in every single way. How was he even real? Before he looked in your direction, your head snapped back into place and you fixated on the sidewalk in front of you so you wouldn’t get caught. Biting your lower lip for a moment, you decided to finally break through with some conversation. “That man that you were living with... Who is he? He’s a bit too old to be a high school student.” A twinkling laugh left Jimin’s mouth, enchanting you as quickly as it left. “That’s my best friend Jin. We’re so close, that we could technically be considered brothers.”
Jin. He was a fascinating person, that was for sure. Having only met him that day and spent very little time with him, something about him made you curious and you were wanting to find out more. Same as Jimin. You had always wanted to be friends with him and get to know him, but with your status in the school and then his... He was untouchable. You were at the very bottom of the food chain and deemed “not worthy” to be in his presence. “He seems like a really nice person.” You responded and he looked your way with a small smirk, nearly making your knees buckle as you had turned to witness it. “A little too nice, if you ask me.”
The both of you shared a laugh as you approached the entrance of the school and you cleared your throat, tucking your hair behind your ear before turning in his direction. “Well, I guess that I’ll see you around? I really appreciated you walking with me to school.” With a quick wave goodbye, you hurried up the stairs and inside the building to get away from a very confused Jimin who was calling your name but to no avail. He didn’t need to be seen with you. He didn’t need to suffer because of who you were.
Staring at the doors that you had just entered, all happiness that had been on Jimin’s face disappeared and it was replaced with a look of confusion and slight frustration. Why was she acting like she was avoiding him now?
It was time to investigate.
