Why Do We Say That Capitalism Must Bedismantled?
Why Do We Say That Capitalism Must Bedismantled?
Why Do We Say That Capitalism Must Bedismantled?
Why Do We Say That Capitalism Must Bedismantled?
Why Do We Say That Capitalism Must Bedismantled?

Why do we say that capitalism must beĀ ā€œdismantledā€?

Youā€™ll hear phrases like ā€œSmash the state!ā€ ā€œEat the rich!ā€ andĀ ā€œSmash capitalism!ā€

And, yes, of course, butā€¦ :)

However relevant those sayings are, our work must be careful, highly organized and above all planned.

Because capitalism and all of its associated systems are not discrete, abstracted entities we can attack independently.

It is a structure, like a complicated machine with many thousands of working partsā€¦

And right now it is connected to absolutely everything.

If we do thisā€¦ [picks up huge hammer and smashes the machine]

Then a lot of vulnerable people will die.

The machine was built and improved and redesigned and patched over the course of generations. It is very good at its intended purpose, which is ultimately to generate profit.

Every human being alive today relies on the byproducts of the machine to survive, without exception.

The machineā€™s engineers want it to keep working like it does. In fact, they want to optimise it.

That will kill all remaining life on Earth.

So, we must destroy the machine, quickly and carefully

We must examine its deadly programs and mechanics and replace them with alternatives we built together.

The engineers donā€™t want us tampering with the machine.

However, we make it runā€¦

So we can make it STOP. Together.

How will YOU help us to safely dismantle the machine?

anyways reminder that it does not matter if you're trans, gay, or whatever if you don't support the "weird queers" you do not belong here

My elderly father started talking about how frustrating he finds ā€œthe pronouns thingā€ and I was like. Oh no. He had such a good stand on this, heā€™s been they/them-ing his cishet siblings for godā€™s sake! Is he regressing?? And he was talking about how difficult it is to remember, and how onerous it feels to expect strangers to keep track of it, and Iā€™m like oh no oh no.

Then he says, ā€œI mean, the problem isnā€™t the gender thing. The problem is four words: she, her, he, and him. We got rid of stewardess and turned it into flight attendant. It doesnā€™t matter if the flight attendant is a man or woman, so we got rid of it. We just need to get rid of those. I donā€™t need to know.ā€

ā€œYou donā€™t need to knowā€¦ peopleā€™s gender?ā€

ā€œNo. I donā€™t care, I donā€™t need to know, and I donā€™t want to remember it.ā€

So we can relax. Itā€™s just a continuation of his crusade to they/them the world. He doesnā€™t want to remember anyoneā€™s gender. Heā€™s abolishing the genders.

It makes me so, so angry when I see those posts that are like "HORRIFYING EARLY PLASTIC SURGERY RESULTS FROM WW2," because all of those lists are full of images that aren't the final result and are used for pure shock value. Harold Gillies, who performed most of those surgeries, was an incredibly talented surgeon. Here are some images of the full results of his surgeries.

I need to emphasize that I can't post the "before" pictures that go with these because the men did not have faces. The injuries were so extensive that these men were missing nearly all of their facial features, and through cutting-edge techniques that "looked scary" at the time (e.g. extensive skin grafts), Gillies saved these men from a medical nightmare.

Gillies performed the world's first ftm bottom surgery for trans man Michael Dillon and pioneered mtf bottom surgery! Respect his legacy.
