headcanon that mario has pretty long hair (middle of his shoulder blade). luigi's hair doesn't grow as long as his brother's (shoulder length), but they're both pretty adamant about keeping it short of all the time, mostly because it's hard to manage whenever you're going on adventures (and also they're a bit embarrassed about it).
