As in, setting a mood for yourself, and by that I mean, when your writing angst, play sad songs, or when your writing smut, play sexy songs. I personally play songs that put me in a mood for the specific topic that I am writing about. I'm more then willing too offer songs that could help. Also, post what you want, don't think about what other people might like because then writing will turn into a stressful must rather then free creativity. Also, don't be scared of feedback, it is there too help you and evolve your writing. Now, this is something that I still struggle with but make a habit of writing, it could be a paragraph or a fic, but make a habit of it, practice makes perfect. Also, if you have too re-read your work 100+ times before you post it, do that. It'll only help in the long run, I also find that bettering grammar is more engaging. I'd also advise that you use synonyms and similes. Synonyms simply for the fact that reusing the same word over and over again gets reputative and boring. Blue for example, you could use aqua, azul, sapphire, cobalt and even cerulean and cyan. Similes as well for the simple fact that it paints a realistic picture for your audience. Such as "his eyes were dark like stormy clouds." or "her eyes lit up like the stars in the sky." It gives people something too imagine and pictures have always been better while reading, I hope this helps!!!
