Tokyo is one of my personal favorites and has a special place in me🥺💕 tbh this was the very first fanfic I read and led me in to the fanfic rabbit hole. For a year I’ve been a tumblr silent reader and now I’m working on WIPS.

When I first saw this waaay back, I was just exhausted from school, work, etc and felt pretty hollow. Then I read the synopsis I’m like hmmm interesting and the next thing I knew I’m hooked (and so late to do school work). For some reason the dynamics and chemistry… and the plot twist in the end (I was genuinely surprise okay 🥺😭 I never thought that — and — because — 😭💕) made a little spark on me 🥺🥺 I really felt Y/N yearning for JK. I felt pretty much dead that time and Tokyo just filled up me up with so much life. Yeah, Tokyo just did that to me 😭 I love it alot!! Tokyo made my cold heart turn warm 🥲 anyway I am just here rereading and reblogging one of my fave fic because ya’ll need to read this gem 💎 (also i internally cry at the words JK said to YN.. like dammit JK my heart became all fuzzy). Also I never listened to “Tokyo” by Shawn Mendez the same way ever again 😭. I will be forever reminded of this fic. I LOVE THIS FIC!!! It’s definitely not right for you to just transform the reason into a thing because in the first place, said cause of distraction is not a thing but rather a person and so you should rephrase and start over.

You are unable to concentrate with your reading because your mind is preoccupied with the thoughts of one person.

Your phone loudly rings and immediately, you are making a beeline from the study table in your room to the living room of this fancy hotel suite that you’re in. Following the sound leads you to the coffee table where your bag is placed. You’re about to grab your phone when something catches your eyes.

The object beside it protrudes as if it’s calling you, too. You pick up both, one hand answering the phone while the other holds the Polaroid photo of yourself at the balcony of your own home. The photo is a bit blurry but still, you can see the way you smiled and the way your eyes are closed as you attempted to block the camera out of shyness but realizing you’re one step too late when he already pressed click, giggling and scrunching his nose.

You remember that day. You remember when you told him, “Jungkook, stop. I look horrible.”

He pouted then at your reason before holding both of your hands to look at you. He looked at you as if he had never seen anything else as marvellous as you are. He looked at you deeply and saw through you, thinking how every lines, marks, every curve, every mole or every strand of hair—everything—is beautiful and it saddened him that there were days you didn’t feel like that and he told you exactly all these. Everything about you, he explained, is loveable and despicable and that’s alright because it’s what weaved the whole of you.

“Hey,” Jungkook’s voice greets when you place the phone beside your ear.
