Bruce sat for a moment, before he nodded to the girl before him.

"I'll do my best."

It was all he could promise. But the last time, Alex had said anything like that to him, it had not boded so well. Not that Hulk had, or ever would hurt that young woman, but none the less it concerned him.

If there was one thing she was aware of, it was the possibility  of her confession bringing out  his alter ego. But, things were getting out of hand now.

"It’s my boyfriend… He’s uh… Look, you have to promise to try and stay calm, okay?”

He stepped in and pulled her closer to him, concern kniting his brow. "Dani," he said her name softly, but lovingly, "You're not disappointed are you? Maybe... If we just try living together first then we can try the Hamptons. I don't want you to get hurt by his doing. You've already been hurt by mine.

Bruce paused at the sight, knowing the paperwork the moment he saw it, test results. He had never expected, however, for the test to conclude that his love was pregnant, two months. Yes, they had fooled around but they had not been fully intimate and as far as he knew she and Hulk had only... It was only the one time, nearly four months ago. He stared at the document in his hand before turning to open the door and holding it up, "What is this?"

The Irishwoman looked up from where she had been in the middleof reading over paperwork in bed, her heart seeming to stop asshe realised what Bruce was holding in his hand. “Paperwork… Nothing too important.” Almost as soon as she said it, Daniinternally winced; of course it was important, but she had hopedto hide it a while longer from her lover.

"So you're telling me there might still be a chance for me yet," he said giving the young woman a playful wink.

"You're young, boyfriends will come and go. Once you get older you can find a much less annoying one. A prince fitting for a princess like you." 

"No. None of the kids are as smart as me. He plays football. Last week I beat him in a game of dodgeball. I hit him in the  head with the ball, and sort of knocked him out. I think that’s why he asked me out. Boys  are really weird.”

She wrinkled her nose and and shrugged, still watching him as he made dinner.

"I don’t think I’ll date him long. He’s kinda annoying.”
