Dani stared at him almost blankly, the only way she was able toproperly hide her agitation withthe scientist.
”You’re not that much older than me, Bruce! And why are you bringin’ this up now?”

"Not for anything Princess."
There was a knock at the door. Bruce tense for a mere second before his better sense kicked in and told him to relax. He kissed the top of her head in way of a promise and turned to get the door.
"I'll get it, don't you worry," he murmured. He opened the door, surprised to see Dani on the other side. Still he opened it wider for her, "Danielle, I.. I'm glad to see you," he said, honestly. He knew it wasn't the best time, but at the same time, Dani was a wonderful woman, and Alex would count herself lucky, and better for it to have her around.
"This is Alexandria Stark, my niece, she's going to be staying with me for a time," he introduced, not knowing the women had met, not knowing the tension it would cause.
"Help me. Take me away from here,"

It had only been one night. One night since he’d last seen the girl, since he’d gotten her a hotel and had a long talk with Hulk. One night and everything had fallen to pieces.
When he arrived at the hotel to pick the girl up, she was covered in fresh bruises. He was glad nothing seemed broken, even with her crumbled, crying on the floor. He said nothing as he scooped her in to his arms, only murmuring an, “everything will be okay, Princess,” as he carried her into a cab, and took her home.
He felt pity for the girl, and anger for her. The clawing feeling returned inside of him, and he knew he would eventually give in to the Hulk and let him tear the boy limb from limb. That he wouldn’t ever let anyone touch her again.

He opened the door to his crummy apartment and carried her in, setting her on the couch as he moved to make tea, “Stay here, I’ll make you something to calm your nerves.”
He sighed, look at her, and the sincerity on her face, "Natasha..." He felt guilty as if he didn't deserve her friendship. "What would be best? To continue to attempt to save lives knowing I'm a hazard, a monster, or to lock myself away for however long it takes to die remaining alone... I... I'm just one man..."
There was a break to his calm, a hurt he dared not otherwise show. It was vulnerability. Maybe to some, Natasha was to last person they'd show weakness to, but she was his friend, would always remain his friend. He trusted her, more than he trusted himself.
"Most of the men I assassinated weren’t diplomats, Bruce. They were innocent men, with families and children. Some of them were honest, working people who didn’t even delay on paying taxes.” and seeking his gaze, hers soft in return. “If I had the power to take this from you, I would. But I can’t. No one can. All I can say is… That we have faith in you, I have faith in you. In any case, we’ll respect what you decide to do, Nick and I.” Natasha sets closer, carefully placing hand on his forearm
viuvax:

"Being an Avenger only helps so much. We all have are large share of mistakes, you can’t let yourself down now. The causalities would be much greater if you hadn’t been there.”

"Natasha, I ruined families. These were innocent lives, people who had done nothing. These weren't the diplomats you assassinated in Russia, the police Clint protected himself from, the Nazi's Steve fought. These were people in the wrong place at the wrong time."

His smile was kind, loving as he placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Any man, with half a brain would love you. You're perfect. Absolutely, completely, perfect."

Murder.
It was what was on the menu for the night. Bruce had gone to Tony, told him of his sins, trusted him. And his trust hadn't been misplaced. After a long time, a few glasses of scotch the two began something that could not be stopped even after their romance had ended. Hulk wouldn't allow the murders to end, even if he did them himself.
Hulk went to Stark, and lead him to their first victim. An elderly man who had been well verse in pedophilia, Tony watched him strangle the victim. Then, a younger man, who had murdered and never been caught, Hulk slit his throat. And then, finally, he took a young woman who had murdered in a gang and tied her down in an abandoned warehouse.

"I want to watch you this time," he murmured huskily into Tony's ear. "I want to see how brutal you can truly be," he handed him his knife. There was no turn on to Hulk like seeing someone tormented, slowly, painfully. He loved it so.
