“There’s Always Tomorrow..”

A/N: it’s one of my favorite authors birthday, so I decided to write this for them *cough cough* @prince-rukatinaka hope you don’t mind the tag too much and that you enjoy this

Warning(s): none, just really more of a bday stressed out comfort fic- so you may get hit in the feels<33

{Reader} laid at his desk asleep.

He had stayed up writing for his blog for a few hours now, and was really tired.

It didn’t help that he had started writing after walking home from work.

His laptop open, an incomplete draft staring at his unconscious self.

Naoto walked in to find his boyfriend sleeping.

He looked.. peaceful.

The detective had noticed he seemed rather stressed and tired earlier, but whenever Naoto asked if he want to take a break he was told “I need to finish this one last thing, then I’ll take a break, okay?”

He didn’t take a break.

Sad part was, it was {Reader}’s birthday.

Naoto had set up a whole thing for them today and everything.

Well, more like bought some [flavor] ice cream and rented some movies, but it was still something they had planned for him.

So seeing {Reader} so stressed hurt him.

Although they could always celebrate tomorrow.

Naoto sighed and went up to {Reader}.

He looked gorgeous, the soft light of the computer showing off his perfect features.

Naoto carefully had {Reader} move from his desk to his bed, half asleep. Naoto guide him every step of the way.

Naoto than tucked them in and went to turn of his laptop. Their cat {name} standing next to it.

“It’s night night time okay?” Naoto whispered softy as he pet {name}. {Name} purring in response to his touch.

Naoto went and made sure {Reader}’s draft was saved and closed his laptop.

Grabbing {name} they climbed into bed with his boyfriend. {Name} immediately leaving to go crawl up near {Reader}’s legs that were hidden under the warm covers.

Naoto resting one of his hands over you and taking his other hand trying to find yours in the dark to try and hold it in his own.

Once he found your hand he kissed your forehead and started to drift off.

Before he could he heard you mumble a soft, raspy “sorry.”

Naoto smiled in your direction, “there’s always tomorrow my dear, get some rest in now.”

The thing is I don't know many of them at all

I am forbidden to read the manga or watch the anime without my best friend- and he hasn't been over in quite some time
