im so obsessed with character duos of people who have been through something so traumatic that they blame themselves, while the other has to sit and watch them spiral into madness about it because what could they tell them? they're right. they're both at fault. telling them that wouldn't fix anything. so they do nothing but spiral into their own web of guilt. and the two of them spiral into their own webs, unable to untangle the other because everytime they try, they tangle themselves up more, hanging themselves in a spider's web of their own making.
