If you think about it, Sparda literally tore himself apart over the years to protect humanity and his family. That's probably what killed him.

He sealed off parts of his power in Temen-Ni-Gru and other gates, and then sealed off other parts of himself in his swords so they can protect his family.

Sparda gave up parts of himself for humanity and it became his doom. Until there was nothing left of him. While all his peers are still alive.

ALSO i would like to bring it to everybody's attention incase it hasn't been already that Nero is left-handed

ZEPHYR + FIA

My DMC OC :], some more info about him below:

Zephyr is a full blooded demon, from way back when the human world and demon world were still connected. Making him about 2,000 ish years old, even if his human form appears so young (about 8-10 years old)

He lives on his own in a quaint little port town near Fortuna, the residents of which know he's a demon and dont mind all that much. They've lived with him for so long that they're just used to the young demon boy.

The red stuff is his companion, Fia. She is essentially Zephyr's blood taking the form of semi-solid red smoke, which he uses to attack through a small dagger. Fia can talk to him whenever she's "active".

The dagger he's holding is a devil-arm called Custos, i have some info about it that ill post later.

When it comes to his relationship with the main DMC cast, i havent fully fleshed everything out yet. Currently ive written a fic for his introduction to Nero and one for Vergil, which you can read here. More fics will be written and added at some point.

Some examples (apologies for shitty camera im taking photos of my monitor)

First a really obvious one, its easier to see this way since its viewed from behind. Personally i wouldnt reach for a weapon with anything but my dominant hand, or at least preferred hand. He also reaches for and uses Blue Rose with his left hand.

Anyways, some more pictures of Nero using his left hand to attack:

(He could've been right-handed/ambidextrous when he was younger, possibly becoming left handed once he got the devil bringer since he wouldn't have been used to it + kept it in a cast to keep it hidden. And of course losing his right arm in dmc 5. Either way, i like seeing left-hander characters in games. Its a small detail, but to somebody, its probably quite important)
