Heroes of Sontar: Some Fun With Gender

In the BF audio, Heroes of Sontar, there's a bit of an interesting joke in part 1. Team 5, Tegan, Turlough, and Nyssa are exploring a planet. They've split up into 5 and Tegan going one way and Turlough and Nyssa going the other. The second team finds a thing stuck to the ground that Nyssa wants to investigate.

"Boys carry pen-knives" is a rather odd gender stereotype. But, in a few scenes, when 5 and Tegan are having a similar problem, we find out where she gets it from.

So, two things:

Nyssa gets her idea of what boys are supposed to be like primarily from the Doctor.

Turlough is Not Like Other Boys

-Falls Over- I naively thought Twelve would be easier for me? That he'd take less time? He's my favorite Doctor so I thought my enthusiasm would light a fire under my ass. ALAS - I had a super fun weekend, but totally overdid it, and as such have been under the weather (yay chronic illness....?) And so this has been a slog. BUT, I LOVE IT.
