It's Always I Watch Tv Shows On 1.5 Speed And Sex Scenes Should Be Eliminated If They Do Not Directly
it's always i watch tv shows on 1.5 speed and sex scenes should be eliminated if they do not directly impact the plot and endless algorithmic stream of short form video content and asmr video while somebody reads out reddit aita posts for you and show cancelled after one season because it didn't immediately become a viral sensation and 2 minute songs optimised for tiktok virality and ipad toddlers and increasingly abysmal theatre and concert etiquette and how dare you make me wait for part 2 of this instagram reel storytime and memes with a lifespan of 48 hours and i have to bring my phone into the cinema because how can you expect me to focus for the entire run of oppenheimer and it's never how was the slow intentional focused consumption of media. the slow intentional focused consumption of media looks lovely

After 146 days, the Writer's Strike has ended with a resounding success. Throughout constant attempts by the studios to threaten, gaslight, and otherwise divide the WGA, union members stood strong and kept fast in their demands. The result is a historic win guaranteeing not only pay increases and residual guarantees, but some of the first serious restrictions on the use of AI in a major industry.
This win is going to have a ripple effect not only throughout Hollywood but in all industries threatened by AI and wage reduction. Studio executives tried to insist that job replacement through AI is inevitable and wage increases for staff members is not financially viable. By refusing to give in for almost five long months, the writer's showed all of the US and frankly the world that that isn't true.
Organizing works. Unions work. Collective barging is how we bring about a better future for ourselves and the next generation, and the WGA proved that today. Congratulations, Writer's Guild of America. #WGAstrong!!!
I wanna feel safe on here but honestly the silence is deafening. Jews are the only people that advocacy stops for, who are dehumanised and horrific unspeakable acts carried out on them where people then try and justify those actions. Don't you dare say it's not antisemitism, just antizionism, when people have been justifying and or celebrating the murder/rape/kidnapping/parading of bodies of civilians. Don't you dare say it's not antisemitism when Jews in the rest of the world have been told to remain vigilant and require extra police and security. There aren't conditions attached to human rights, except apparently when it comes to Jews. Jewish lives can be senselessly ended, their bodies defiled and someone will still say BUT it's ok because XYZ. If you can't talk about the murder and atrocities being carried out right now without adding a but or if you speak up for everyone except Jews, unfollow me, block me.
May their memories be a blessing.
Honestly, a lot of the left-wing erasure of Jewish ethnicity by considering all Jews to be white people like all the other white Europeans, except possibly even *more* white and privileged, strikes me as being less psychologically about intentionally excluding Jews and more about, like, not having to deal with the logical fallout of the consequences of structural antisemitism.
Because here's the thing: if you acknowledge that structural antisemitism exists, you then have to support efforts to undo structural antisemitism and consider the fallout of historical antisemitism.
If you contain it to one tragic event (no matter how huge) and also minimize it (because it's not the only genocide, have you considered __?) and universalize it (this teaches us about the inhumanity of people towards those who are *different*) and atomize it (people can be so weird about Jews and Judaism, they must really be an unusually hateful person)
Then you don't have to consider things like "hey are we still benefitting from structural antisemitism today?" and "are Jews still dealing with the consequences of structural antisemitism?" and "are our politics contributing to ongoing antisemitism, including structural antisemitism even now?"
im wearing a pin on my blazer rn that says "you tried" in comic sans on a star
