I ended up giving these humanized versions different names (and ages!) because let's be real, no one in their right mind would name their child Sonic or Knuckles (We don't talk about Shadow, I've seen things).

Sonic = Ogilvie Maurice (22) Yeah I've read the Archie comics. Yeah, Sonic's real name is Ogilvie Maurice The Hedgehog. I'm not kidding.

Tails = Miles Prower (14) That's literally his name in canon. I changed nothing.

Knuckles = Idris Emerald (31) Obvious reference to Idris Elba, who voiced him in the second Sonic movie. Also Emerald because of the huh...master emerald situation.

Shadow = Dell Penumbra (50+ 26) This guy's first name literally means shadow in Maltese. Penumbra can also mean "almost shadow" in Latin, so yeah. Emo's the game and Shadow Almost Shadow is his name 🤘
