I literally just started this simblr too, I'm so incredibly grateful ;;

I may or may not have spent an entire day searching for fantasy CC just so I could have my attempt at remaking the Realm of Magic Sages 🤐

Listening to Rammstein while working on this makeover (is it even a makeover at this point) was a mistake, I have gone too far and will never find my way back foaisfhoklshf

I have so many screenshots from my rendition of the RoM Sages that I wanna do something with them, like character introductions/profiles or a brief summary of their backstory, idk.

All I'm saying is the creative juices are flowing and I better make use of them before they run out on their own.

I've pretty much finished Simeon and L.'s intro thingie (I don't even know what to call it), but it's almost 3AM where I live and I'm positively deceased.

When I mentioned there being a "Conflict with the Ancients" in my last 3 posts, I wasn't planning to give these Ancients a face and a body, but here I am, CAS opened and creating these demon witch people or whatever the heck they are.

Honestly, I've been taking screenshot after screenshot so I can do some actual storytelling, and MY GOD I did not expect it to be such a long process. Like, how do you all manage to frequently upload your chapters and still make them look and sound great??? I honestly could never.

I lowkey kinda want to show you guys a few of the children my saves decided to create for premades via neighbourhood stories (and through actual gameplay as well, who am I kidding here) simply because some of them came out looking like a dream and only got better after having been given a makeover to better resemble the parents, like aaaaaaaaa

On my Charm family makeover

I know not many people follow me, but I'd still like to address something that's been gnawing at my chest.

Last night, I posted a makeover of the Charm household, which I was initially very proud of. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to creating and remaking sims and I felt like this one in particular was ok after the Vatores.

However, when I logged in this morning, I had a comment from a user asking why they were so white. I also saw other users agreeing with this statement and commenting on how they were unrecognizable. This saddened me, obviously. Mostly because I didn't touch their skin color (the gshade preset I use and tweaked has a blue tint to it and I realize now that the bloom shader may have brightened things up a little), but also because I try to keep changes to premades' facial structures as subtle as I can make them so they can still be recognizable. With the exception of Gemma (who I almost completely remade to try to make her look more like the teen she is), the most I did was adjust jawlines, lips and eyes, because lord knows I can't do much more than that without completely messing up. My makeovers mostly consist of a bunch of skin details and makeup put together on a sim and that's what makes most of the difference. Though no one is obligated to like my stuff and that's totally fine! Each person has a different style they're into. What really hurt was the fact that people think I white-washed these sims when it definitely wasn't my intention to make it appear so.

Regardless, I am deeply sorry if my take on the Charms offended any of you in any way. I meant no harm and had no intention of making them look paler than they originally are. However, I'll be taking your feedback into account and do better next time. Please, if anyone has any POC-friendly preset suggestions, link them to me so I can try them out in makeovers like this one.

Just letting you all know that I'm not gone, nor have I abandoned my blog! I just happen to be super busy with work and vet school (mostly work tbh) and haven't had much free time to be around :/ I plan to go back to posting this weekend or maybe tomorrow in all fairness.
