Why do I get weird adds?

In my class, there is a Ukrainian boy, and his English is not so good. And half of the school ship him with this girls. And on one lesson, another girl came up to him, and went:

-I ship you with Annie!

But the poor boy had no idea what she meant, so he went:

-The ship, like tho one on water, or the sheep, that eat grass?

And he tried to show those things with his hands. Poor boy had no idea what was going on
