Ive Been Seeing A Lot Of People Posting About The BG3 Fandom Burning Out Or Being Disappointed That Artists

I’ve been seeing a lot of people posting about the BG3 fandom burning out or being disappointed that artists they love have moved to other fandoms - so I just wanted to post a little update from my corner of tumblr.

There is a TON of BG3 fan art and discussion still going on. My queue is like overflowing, even more so than it was several months ago. Like, normally I might see a post and it would be scheduled for reblog within 3 hours, now it’s more like 7+ hours with how much stuff I have in queue.

So, even if your favorite artist has been lured way by Dragon Age, there’s tons of other fabulous artists out there worth checking out for your BG3 fix!

Fandoms grow and change, that’s healthy! It’s also healthy for artists to draw what excites or inspires them! And there are plenty of people still inspired by BG3 right now, just give some new or smaller artists some love 💕 My blog is full of them if you need help finding any 😉

I know after Cazadors death Astarion explores sex/intimacy again, but that's not enough for me. I need Astarion to realize he never got to dress the way he wanted. I need an Astarion who decides one day to chop off all his hair or grow it out, I need him to move away from red and black and assume other colors like pastels or jewel tones colors. I need an Astarion who plays with different fabrics and styles maybe he tries Feminine for a while and it doesn't suit him so he goes to more of a masculine style or the reverse. I want an Astarion who plays with make up or jewelry and maybe has a signature look because he learns he can do something without it either representing Cazador or attracting victims. It's just something he likes and enjoys because he has the freedom to do so.

The only way ik how to draw astarion is him being a big softie!! whoopsie!! (Wip~)

I'm going to start throwing hands with bw authors who constantly age astarion down so he's the younger one. It drives me INSANE. In modern human aus, he'd be 39!!!! HE'S IN HIS 40S ALMOST. Canonically Gale is 35 and I know some gale girlies make him older but PLEASE I NEED OLD MAN ASTARTION!!!!
