Fandom Problem #5857:
Is it just me, or are a lot of "progressive" fans actually really bigoted?
"I support the trans community...by drawing this horribly stereotyped or fetishized picture of a character as trans"
"I'm adding more poc representation by taking an already poc character and making them black, essentially just swapping one poc for another, because only black people count as poc"
"This horribly bigoted or otherwise terrible person/character who happens to be a woman is clearly a feminist icon, and anyone who disagrees is a sexist neckbeard, because no woman could dislike this character, we're all a hivemind with identical tastes in characters"
"This character must be a lesbian because she didn't want to marry that buff dude, and no straight girl can resist a buff dude"
"This disabled character must be asexual or child-coded, what disabled person wants to be in a sexual relationship?"
I could list so many other examples, but that would turn into a whole essay's worth of text.
I thought I already debunked all of the Rhaelya shippers arguments, yet tragically, they are like hydras. Here I bring, Debunking Rhaelya shippers arguments, part 2:
"Jon would have loved his Targaryen heritage." Jon considers himself first and foremost, a Stark (a bastard Stark, but a Stark nevertheless), son of Ned Stark, the man who raised him and not Rhaegar Targaryen, who only sired him as a tool to further his own agenda, which is the "Prince that was Promised" (essentially the fantastical equivalent of an eugenics experiment) and would have given up on him because he wasn't the Visenya he wanted. What would Jon's reaction be if he found out that to Rhaegar he was nothing but a lab rat? Nothing but visceral hatred.
"Rhaegar would have set a council to depose his own father and rule as King." Rhaegar only appeared on the battlefield after hiding on Dorne the entire year, only after he made sure Lyanna was pregnant. And no Great House in Westeros would care about any council after being fired up enough, specially Rhaegar, who pissed off 4 Great Houses at the same time (Arryn, Stark, Tully and Baratheon)
"Rhaegar went to Dorne in order to live his romance with Lyanna." He took her to Dorne in order to keep her isolated from anybody other than himself and his Kingsguard (isolating your significant other from their loved ones is not romantic, it's a red flag of domestic violence, which already tells me this was not a love story) and if it was merely an affair, then why hide the entire year? Then why ordering the Kingsguard to kill anybody who comes for Lyanna, regardless of intent? Ned had to literally cut his way through the Kingsguard so he could see his sister again.
"Robert needed a villain to rebel because he couldn't accept Lyanna wasn't interested in him." While it's true that Robert was in love with the idea of Lyanna, the real reason he rebelled was because Aerys II demanded his head and that of Ned's in a fit of paranoia. It was a rebel or die situation.
I didn't knew that to fill the empty feeling and void in myself I needed to watch a show with girl soccer team stranded in a jungle, plane crash, woman in love with woman, love as in that consuming feeling for the other person may they be your lover or best friends, you dont know where they end and you begin, mystical jungle force with creepy signs, schizophrenic visions, cults, sever long lasting mental trauma, cannibalism but in a explainable way, antler queen.
Did i menationed girls surviving together? Girls loving girls? 🖤🖤🖤
Let's see, Aegon was right about...
1. Considering Smallfolk
2. Securing Harrenhal before Daemon builds an army
3. Securing Grover Tully support after Lucerys' death
4. Burning Gullet's blocade sooner
And STILL many people are saying he was dumb as the King! Even with him not recieving any preparation, his ideas would've eliminated the biggest problems that the Greens are facing now.
