i also hate how sasuke boruto is written because that isn’t the sasuke that i know and love. they completely changed his character and its just hard to read/watch. i know people change and forgive/forget but what konoha did to sasuke is unforgiveable.
i don’t know how the hell arc of bleach is going to go but i do want something traumatic like maybe they bring ichigo’s mother from hell and its like a mental struggle for him? and maybe for rukia they could bring kaien? im not good at headcannons so dont really know how this would work
wrt how orihime is treated by fandom, the sexist double standards are so irritating lol. she and ichigo are literally two sides of the same coin, birds of a feather, but we dont see half as much hate directed at him. yall think a kidnapped woman with big boobs and obvious trauma = worthless misogynistic writing, and end up missing her complexities and how much hueco mundo arc fleshed out her character. bleach used her kidnapping as a vehicle to explore and develop her character, and i wish yall realized that.
"she's too obsessed with ichigo." ok, and ichigo is just as "obsessed" with her, what about it?
"she needs to get over her one-sided crush and become a badass character." first of all, it's clearly not one-sided, yall just lack media comprehension. second of all, who says she cant grow while being in love? if anything, orihime's love and desire to protect are what make her stronger and motivate her to grow. third of all, not every female character needs to be strong and combat-oriented in order to have value. it's enough to "just" be complex and have growth, yall realize that, right? 🤨
"she's weak." i genuinely do not care. character are allowed to be weak. it allows room for growth. which happened. in canon. in case yall missed it. and all of this applies to ichigo, who is at times not "strong enough."
"she's insecure." so is ichigo!
like it or not, orihime and ichigo are foils with more similarities than differences. if yall cant see that, then maybe a rewatch/reread is needed here.
